Today, October 11^th, is National Coming Out Day. This is a day that celebrates that special, though not always easy, moment of coming out to those you love and sharing your identity as a member of the LGBTQ+ community. Some of the best moments of representation within popular media include the moment a character comes out to their family and friends and to celebrate today I wanted to highlight some of those moments as well as share some of my personal experiences, as well as the experience of a friend who helped me finally decide to open up to my own family.
