Jodie Spiteri has emotion problems and low self esteem, which Governor Joan Ferguson uses to her advantage as part of her revenge against Franky Doyle and Bea Smith.

Drug use, cutting, Jodie is a mess.  She ends up in Wentworth Prison where is later runs afoul of Governor Ferguson who mentally and physically tortures her. With Bea Smith’s help, Jodie gets the courage to bring charages against Ferguson with the prison board but unfortunately, Ferguson is one step ahead.  By detaining Bea thereby making her unavailable to accompany Jodie to the hearing, the Governor ends up the victor and Jodie ends up in psychiatric.

It’s any wonder whether Jodie will ever have the strength to fight her addictions and the inner demons that plague her.
