#Wentworth Profile – A Rose By Any Other Name via @stacyamiller85

After the death of his wife, Will Jackson’s heart was pricked by thorns and he wondered if life would ever smell sweet again.

This article contains spoilers so if you haven’t seen Wentworth, please do not continue reading.

Enter Rose. Although Will had worked with the kind and pretty nurse for years, he had never thought of her as anything more than a colleague. And why would he?  Afterall, Will Jackson was a married man.  He loved his wife former Wentworth Governor Meg.  But then, Will Jackson’s world was turned upside down when Meg was killed during a prison riot.

Rose offered sympathy and a shoulder to lean on.  Their relationship developed from there and Will Jackson and Rose Atkins started dating.  When Harry Smith ran Will off the road with Rose on the backseat of Jackson’s motorcycle and she was injured, Will realized that he deeply cared for her.  Rose refused to believe that Will could commit murder (she was correct, he was being set up by Governor Joan Ferguson) and stood by his side.

I believe Rose and Will could have a future together.  I think Rose has a light that could shine on the darkness Will has experienced.

  1. I wish they had worked things out, they were lovely together but she left 😦 and broke up with him prior that. It’s weird she wasn’t mentioned at all in season 4 we weren’t even told where she went but we can assume she resigned.

One thing though, Rose didn’t work at Wentworth when Will was married to Meg, in season 2 she is hired as the new prison nurse.

    1. Thanks,my wording is a little off and leads to confusion. What I meant to say is that the love and support Will found in Rose after the death of his wife Meg as yes, you’re right Rose didn’t appear until Season 2.
