Can @CW_CrazyXGF Paula and Rebecca’s Friendship Survive? via @stacyamiller85 @DLChamplin @Racheldoesstuff

The latest Crazy Ex Girlfriend episode “Why Is Josh In a Bad Mood?” saw a change in the relationship between Rebecca and Greg as the two embarked towards becoming a couple.  But it also might have signaled the end of my favorite couple on the show: Paula and Rebecca.

When I interviewed Donna Lynne Champlin, who plays Paula, I mentioned how much I enjoy her chemistry with Rachel Bloom’s Rebecca.  I’ve even written a previous post for The Nerdy Girl Express regarding this dynamic duo’s friendship.  And on Twitter, I compared them to a modern day Lucy and Ethel.

Friendships are hard to come by and when you develop one, you should do everything in your power to maintain it.  Unfortunately, Rebecca may have jeopardized hers with Paula by being less than honest with Paula concerning her new romance with Greg.

Paula has been in Rebecca’s corner since Day One as a supporter and cheerleader in Rebecca’s pursuit of Josh Chan.  The schemes Paula has participated in at Rebecca’s request has gone above and beyond.  Remember Operation Let’s Stage a Break In?  Paula even recruited her husband for this mission and ignored the risk that they both could have been arrested if caught.  Even though Paula may not always agree with everything Rebecca does and has offered her opinion and advice, she never passed judgment (the act of a true friend).

Now, the truth bomb has dropped: Rebecca has lied to Paula.  Can Paula forgive this act of betrayal to their friendship?  Will the friendship even survive?

I’d love to hear what readers think.

    1. Although I don’t want Paula and Rebecca to remain estranged, I hope Paula does get to express her feelings of being hurt and not easily forgive Rebecca.
