@StitchersTV Recap: Pretty Little Lawyers from @kleffnotes

Lying, cheating, and scheming were all pivotal elements in this week’s Stitchers. You see things get exceptionally difficult when lawyers are involved, especially when you can’t tell them where you are getting your evidence from. From the minds of dead people, doesn’t really have a legal ring to it.

A lawyer is found dead in her office while she’s working on a case involving an electric car company’s exploding batteries, her firm is representing the car company. The crew finds themselves surrounded by tight lipped jerks, well lawyers, but these ones are especially jerky and refuse to answer even the most basic questions. Kirsten is still trying to figure out anything about her dad, Camille is still hanging out with Liam for Maggie, and Cameron and Nina are getting even cuter. All of these things and more get pretty crazy during the course of the investigation. We get something brand new from Maggie though. The head of the firm they are investigating happens to be a someone she used to be involved with named Sam.

We don’t get to see much of Nina in this episode, which might be hinting at the possible return of Camsten. After trying to question the members of the team working on the electric battery case and coming away exceptionally frustrated, Camille even threatens to leak nudes at one point which does not go over well, we get a happy surprise. Cameron has dinner plans with Nina and Kirsten and Linus finally get their first solo scene. Linus asks Kirsten how she’s handling Nina and Cameron being together and after she says she’s fine, he reveals he thinks that Camille is with someone else. Kirsten says she’d know if Camille was dating someone else, when suddenly Cameron returns. He says that he cancelled plans with Nina to help them with research, even he acknowledges this wasn’t his best dating move. Camille is doing her own research with Liam while all of this is going on. As she offers him a nightcap the two briefly kiss, at the exact same moment that Kirsten walks into the room. Camille tries to tell her as best she can with Liam in the room that this isn’t what it looks like.

The next day at the Stitch Lab Kirsten and Linus both seem really unhappy with Camille and she tells Maggie that she got caught with Liam. She wants to tell people what’s going on, but Maggie doesn’t want her to yet. In her second stitch Kirsten learns from Baby Cameron that she has a sister. Her father had a child with his first wife and he never told her. During the course of her stitches Kirsten saw that someone was having an affair at the office and it was discovered that the dead woman was poisoned with oleander. With that information, plus the keycard log from the boxes and boxes of paperwork the firm sent over, they head back to try and get more information out of the lawyers and reveal the killer.

With all the lawyers rounded up Kirsten and Cameron get to work interrogating them, but Maggie has her own work to do. She confronts Sam to see if he was the murderer and for the first time someone gives a real answer. He tells her that he didn’t do it and that he thinks that someone from the office was involved. Back with Camsten the douchiest of the lawyers, Randall, reveals that Cameron’s father was a criminal who is still in prison. Cameron gets so angry that Kirsten has to restrain him and they leave the room to cool off. He immediately begins explaining things to her, even though she insists he doesn’t have to. They go back into the room and with Camille’s help they reveal that the keycard log shows that the only married woman there used her card to enter the office near the time of the murder. Her charm bracelet though tips Kirsten off and she remembers seeing it on the wrist of the woman having sex in her vision. She presses the woman and Randall winds up getting defensive, and very chatty about things connected to the murder. Suddenly Kirsten’s in his clutches, but a bit of book work sets her free.

The end of the episode was a lot of drama. Linus’ father is at the law firm filling out paperwork for medical power of attorney and he tells Linus that they need to talk. Kirsten comes home to find Camille and Maggie, who reveal that Camille is only with Liam to get information. They ask Kirsten if she’s alright with them continuing with their plan, but she says it’s too dangerous for Camille and she’ll have a relationship with Liam instead. Next week’s episode with twelve dead bodies and one massive stitch looks like it’s going to be crazy! I also really need to know what is up with Linus’ family, Kirsten’s secret sister, the Liam plan, and I really want to see more Nina. She’s such a fun character.
