As Walter Skinner, Pileggi was an asset to Mulder and Scully. Later, as Samuel Campbell and Harris Ryland, Pileggi excelled in his memorable performances portraying morally bankrupt characters. Pileggi brought villainy to new heights of evil perfection earning him a legion of devoted fans.
