In the second issue of The Wicked Righteous we jump back into the action after the brothers and their team fought it out to rescue the mysterious girl. A man named Cross arrives to help them escape and we learn more about the boys and the girl they were protecting.
The Wicked Righteous #2 begins two years earlier to introduce a new character named Cross. He had previously been in prison and while we don’t know exactly why he was there, we do know that he was able to leave. Lucas who had been shot in the first issue is in his arms and the group is running back to their safe space. As Lucas recovers we see inside his dreams, where he and his mysterious woman are together. We learn that her name is J.C., which seems very much like a tease into her being very important later on. We see the rise of a military group as well as some connections between the gang they fought, The Horsemen, and someone even more dangerous.

I am enjoying the build for this series and I look forward to seeing how the world will continue to change, especially now that the Godspeed family has J.C. with them. I could see them finding a way to set in motion a way to save the world. The ending of this book did make me very worried for their future with the return of the dangerous young kid from issue one. I can imagine him coming in and causing them harm or finding a way to hurt them.
