The Chair #4 @ALTERNACOMICS Newsprint Review from @kleffnotes

The Chair #4 brings the series to a chilling end this month with a plethora of reveals. Throughout the story we have seen Sullivan being held within the horrific prison watched over by the vindictive Warden. Within this issue we are shown a new side of the story.

In a shocking return to reality The Chair #4 focuses on what has actually been happening within the world around Sullivan. While he has thought he is in a horrifying hellscape, he has instead been on death row in a regular prison. As the time for his execution grows closer The Warden finally reveals his connection to the prisoner. This reveal pales in comparison to the frightening finale between these two characters, who share a deep connection beyond the bonds of prison. Check out The Chair #4 to learn the surprising truth behind this story.

The Chair series is a horrifyingly captivating read. I will admit that I was able to watch the original film based on the series before I read it, but even then being able to see everything unfold on newsprint is something you can’t miss. The art moves between dark and shadowy elements that heighten the terror for the reader as Sullivan fears he will die, while moments of the real world are shown in a lighter and more real world feel. This balance between reality and fantasy adds to the twists and turns presented throughout the series. The Chair #4 is the perfect finale for an exceptionally frightening read.
