I Ain’t Afraid of No Clowns

I admit I’m way behind in horror movies. I love them, but I used to only really watch vampire themed horror movies or sort of teen witch themed things. What that means for all of you is that I have loads of traditional horror movies to write about. This week I’ve been reading a creepy carnival short story book, it’s called Carniepunk and I love it so far, I’m definitely going to write about it at a later date so keep your eyes peeled, and thought why don’t I give that IT movie a watch. I’m capitalizing both letters just to make sure it actually looks like a title instead of just a typo of the word it. I know people who are terrified of the movie and of Pennywise so I decided this was definitely a lights on sort of watch. Continue reading “I Ain’t Afraid of No Clowns”

Baby Vamps, Coffin Naps, and Vogueing in the Lobby

AHS: Hotel’s episode Chutes and Ladders was the longest non-two parter episode of any season of American Horror Story EVER. That’s not official, but I think an hour and forty minutes is the longest any episode has been that I’ve watched on television. It was a marathon of information, character reveals, and plot set-ups. It felt like I was cramming for an AHS exam while watching the episode. All the info dumping! I’m not complaining about all the information, but there was just a lot going on in this episode. I kind of wish it had been divided up into two episodes, just so I would have had more time to process everything. Here’s my best possible recap and review of the show, I’m sorry if I miss anything, but there was just so much in there this week that I don’t know if I retained it all. Legends are Now and Forever

Let’s take a trip back in time, to 1985, the time of Legend. This happens to be one of my favorite movies and has been for many, many years. It was directed by Ridley Scott and stars a very young Tom Cruise, Mia Sara, and Tim Curry, to name a few. It’s a beautiful fairytale to begin all Legends. I shall tell you about this movie, trying not to give out to many spoilers, I’d rather you see it for yourself. It begins: Continue reading “Legends are Now and Forever”

Major Update-iZombie Season 2 Episode 2 Recap and Reactions

Yesterday marked the second episode of season two of iZombie. I’m always afraid of second episodes because many times a show will put everything into its first and last episodes and everything in between is just ‘meh.’ I should not have feared, because iZombie did not disappoint. Not only was there huge character development but there was action, heartbreak and laughs. I’m not the only one who sees it either, Rotten Tomatoes has given iZombie a 100% and that is definitely something to celebrate with some ice cream! (Brain freeze?) Pump, Pump, Pump It Up, In the Pumpkin Patch

Angels peeing vodka and red bull, yes, that’s a thing and Chanel wants it in her pumpkin patch. Scream Queens started off their second Halloween episode, Pumpkin Patch, with some crazy rich partying planning. I really want to know if you can actually put out a fire with champagne, though I don’t want to test that myself. Someone call Myth Busters! Then we got a glimpse of the Chanels costume plans, I mean bereaved wives of assassinated US presidents is super niche, but super limited options there. I would totally claim Mary Todd Lincoln, don’t know why you’re so upset with that option Five, but to each her own. I think this was also the first night I saw the title sequence for the show, I don’t know if this was new and I’ve just accidentally skipped it during my dvr watching, but it was pretty cool.
