As the Jane the Virgin Narrator would say “Okay, peeps -let’s catch you up…

As the story opens, we see Young Jane getting her first lap top and trying to find her inspiration.  Flash forward to the present day, Jane is struck with inspiration for her novel and excitingly shares the news with her family.  At that moment, the Villanuevas find that Mateo has started crawling (Aw!) but as bad luck would have it, the baby’s foot gets tangled in the cord of Jane’s lap top and it falls off the table (But thankfully, not on him) bringing down the orange juice all over it. Fatal. System. Error. Bye inspiration.

While taking her lap top to get repaired at the Computer Junction, Jane’s friend Lina point out that the computer guy is checking Jane out.  These leads to a mission to set Jane up on a computer dating site. The fun-loving pictures of partying Jane are a hit.  Unfortunately Brad (played by The Inspectors’ Brad Green) doesn’t score a date.  Jane has several dates, including one with a skater guy (Sk8er) who likes the photo of she and Mateo. And to see Gina Rodriguez on a skaterboard, totally worth watching the episode!  Unfortunately, he has a girlfriend.  But Jane does find her inspiration on the bus to write her chapter.

The Michael plot of the episode involves him remembering his time with Nadine in which she managed to hide the thumb drive in his leg.  I definitely didn’t see that coming.

Although the conclusion of the prior episode found Rafael in danger after being injected in the neck by his drug lord mother, he seemed to be fine.  He spent most of the episode looking after Petra, who was scared that she would suffer another miscarriage.

The other major plot of the episode found Rogelio hiring his mother as his manager on his telenovela, Tiago: A Través Del Tiempo.  But as you can imagine, these two personalities clash (I love the Kris/Kim analogy) and Rogelio tells Xo he has to fire his mom. (That’s cold!)  But Liliana and Xiomara get to patch up their differences.  Andrea Navedo (Xo) and Rita Moreno (Liliana) have great chemistry, really looking forward to seeing more scenes between these two.

Jane later has a passionate dream about Professor Chavez.  Huh? Where did THAT come from?  I guess we have to wait until Chapter Thirty-Three to see where it leads.

I really enjoyed the episode and offer kudos to the writers, cast and crew.  Jane Writers- Where do you get your INSPIRATION, the scripts are fabulous!
