Happy Birthday @JennaRoseSimon via @stacyamiller85 #HappyBirthdayJennaRoseSimon

One of the joys of being a writer is having the opportunity to reach people through the written word.

But the written word isn’t the only way to reach people.

Actress and Artist Jenna Rose Simon uses her extraordinary artistic talent to speak out on bullying and to help people feel better about themselves.  I had the pleasure of interviewing Jenna Rose Simon several months ago, and I must say that she is a very inspiring young lady.  In this age of social media, today’s youths face the challenge of cyber bullying where hiding behind a computer screen to offer insult often occurs.  It’s hard to stay strong and overcome. In Jenna Rose Simon’s art, you will find real images that reach into your heart and help to empower.  These drawings say that you are not alone and to stay strong in the most difficult of situations.

Thank you Jenna Rose Simon for using your gift as your voice. And on this December 14 your birthday, I wish you much happiness as you continue on life’s path.

Here is a poem by The Nerdy Girl Express poet and writer Tracy Diane Miller

#HappyBirthdayJennaRoseSimon #poetry  To celebrate the gift of you, a birthday poem for @JennaRoseSimon by Tracy Diane Miller

To celebrate the gift of you
Is to see smiles rather than tears
For you have walked the journey
Towards conquering your fears

To celebrate the gift of you
Is to realize that you have learned
For you have survived so many challenges
Towards the joy that you have earned

To celebrate the gift of you
Is to look in the mirror and see
The splendor that is Jenna
The beauty of you as life meant it to be

To celebrate the gift of you
Is to cherish the blessings that will still come your way
For you still have many great moments to unwrap
On this your birthday
