…And just like that, the music scene of 2019 has been revived and stabilized.
Following up with their 2017 AWKOHAWNOH (All We Know Of Heaven, All We Need Of Hell) sophomore album, PVRIS has renovated their look, sound, and record deal. Once signed to Rise Records, the group has a new deal with Warner Music. I personally believe this will give them more space to grow into their defining sound, as well as give them a bigger platform and spotlight, both well deserved and earned.
Hailing from Lowell, Massachusetts, PVRIS performed under the name Operation Guillotine from 2012 until 2013, when the band spent a week playing a Battle Of the Bands competition on the Ernie Ball stage at the ‘13 Warped Tour. They ultimately changed their name to PVRIS, the A was changed to a V, documents citing it was for legal reasons. They signed to Rise Records in June of 2014, and released their debut album, White Noise, on November 3th, 2014. AWKOHAWNOH was released August 25th, 2017.
I have no word yet on the name or release of any new album, but you can watch my reaction video to their new song, Death Of Me, below. Check out the new song, and find more music from PVRIS through the helpful links I have provided.
