Move over Ryan Chamberlain. You’ve got competition for the title of most hated man in Port Charles.
And his name is David Henry Archer a.k.a Shiloh.
As the head of Dawn of Day, this self help expert (translation cult leader) has run afoul of some important citizens of Port Charles. Including alleged mobster/coffee importer Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), attorney Alexis Davis (Nancy Grahan), CEO of ELQ Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), head of Aurora Media Drew Cain (Billy Miller), PI Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), Dr. Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes) and let’s not forget Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).
There are many more to include on this list which continues to grow everyday.
Introduced as an old friend of Navy Seal Drew Cain, viewers soon learned Shiloh shared a past with Sam. He was the son of an old mark of Ms. McCall from her days scamming older rich men out of their money by marrying them. After Hank (as he was then known) was disinherited by his father, he joined the Seals where Drew saved his life. ‘Finding his purpose,’ Hank changed his name to Shiloh and stared Dawn of Day (DOD).
One of his first members was Lorraine Miller (Inga Canadrel). She was so devoted to Shiloh that she had her daughter Kali join DOD. Lorraine changed her real name and became Harmony. Encouraging Kali to get initiated into The Trust (Shiloh’s inner circle), Harmony allowed her daughter to be drugged and accepted Shiloh would be having sex with the young woman after her initiation. This set off a chain of events that would be far reaching with many people in Port Charles involved. Pregnant with Shiloh’s baby, Kali ran away from DOD and changed her name to Willow Tait and gave her child up for adoption. That baby was adopted by Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) and his husband Dr. Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes). Then, she began dating Detective Harrison Chase (Josh Swickward). But Willow doesn’t know that her baby died and Brad and Lucas were raising Michael Corinthos and Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) son Jonah.
Kali/Willow was the only young woman Shiloh preyed on. Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Lexi Ainsworth) fell under his spell and almost succumbed to being initiated. Luckily, she was rescued by Jason. And intervention with her parents Sonny and Alexis and Dr. Neil Brynes followed. But it was Willow’s testimonial that convinced Krissy on the truth and she broke free of DOD. And Jason saved Sam (who had gone undercover in DOD) from being initiated and raped by Shiloh.
Shiloh learned Willow was pregnant with his child when she fled DOD and now believes he’s Wiley’s birth father. He wants custody of his son and hopes it will include a reunion with the baby’s mother. However, Archer’s past is quickly catching up to him. We learned he drugged and killed Willow’s father Douglas Miller to stop him from keeping Kali from joining The Trust. Will Shiloh finally have to answer for his crimes? Is his day of reckoning nearing?
General Hospital airs weekday afternoon on ABC.
