Carly (Laura Wright) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) were shocked when Lulu (Emme Rylan) told them Dante was gone.  She explained how Dante told her something was broken in him after his undercover assignment and he needed to get it fixed. When Rocco appeared and asked his mom about his dad leaving, Sonny took his grandson aside and told Rocco he had to be the man of the house and take care of his mom. Lulu expressed her fear to Carly that Dante wouldn’t be back. Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) was lead into court for his arraignment. When he saw Franco (Roger Howarth) and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) outside the courtroom, Kevin apologized for what Ryan did to Baldwin. But Franco reminded Kevin he should start by what he (Kevin) did to him. Franco reminded he trusted Dr. Collins but Kevin used him to help his psycho brother. Franco added he was through with him and with therapy. Lucy (Lynn Herring) overheard Franco’s remarks and assured Kevin although his intentions (to help Ryan) were good, his actions weren’t. Kevin told Lucy that he had to hire an attorney from out of town as no one in Port Charles would touch is case. Enter Llanview lawyer Nora Buchanan (Hillary Bailey Smith). Kevin told Nora he wanted to plead guilty. Nora discouraged against it.  Heeding his attorney’s advise, Kevin pleaded not guilty. D.A. Margaux Dawson (Elizabeth Hendrickson) wanted bail denied. Lucy spoke as a character witness and Kevin was granted bail in the amount of $100,000 and had to surrender his passport. Maxie (Kristen Storms) told Nina (Michelle Stafford), Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) she (Maxie) ran a DNA test on Sasha; results proved she was Nina’s daughter. Peter (Wes Ramsey) admitted his suspicions were aroused Liesl (Kathleen Gati) had something on Valentin. Valentin lied to Nina that Liesl knew about Nina stabbing Cassandra Pierce with the syringe. Valentin encouraged Nina not to confront her aunt about the blackmail. When his bail was paid, Kevin thought Lucy posted it but she said she hadn’t. Viewers saw it was Laura who paid Kevin’s bail. Alexis requested Liz and Laura at GH as part of Gail’s final will request.

Residents of Port Charles have gathered at General Hospital at Alexis’ (Nancy Grahan) invite per Gail Baldwin’s (The late Susan Brown) will. Alexis handed each in attendance an envelope containing a piece of the original blueprint of the hospital from fifty-six years. They were to go to the location from the blueprint where they’d find another envelope. Laura (Genie Francis) greeted her mother Dr. Leslie Webber (Denise Alexander), who later traded barbs with Monica (Leslie Charleson) as they looked for their envelopes. Bobbie (Jackie Zeman) and Felicia (Kristina Wagner) ended up at a the photo memorial and found their envelopes by Dr. Tony Jones’ photo. Felicia expressed her gratitude for the gift Tony and Bobbie gave Maxie (Kristen Storms): BJ’s heart. Scott (Kin Shriner) talked with Franco (Roger Howarth) about fathers and sons taking time to spend together. Lucy (Lynn Herring) came across her old wardrobe from The Nurse’s Ball. She decided to donate the items and money raised for the sale to the ball itself. She found an old handkerchief belonging to Alan and remembered the time Alan opened the ball with a song from Cinderella that made all the ladies there feel like princesses. She added that Monica was Alan’s queen and apologized for being young, greedy and stupid by taking Alan from Monica. In the hospital chapel, Laura and Sonny (Maurice Benard) reminiscence about the first time they met “I think you are a good guy in a bad guy’s clothes,” Laura said. Sonny smiled as he walked by the plague for The Stone Cates Memorial Wing. Bobbie helped Elizabeth find her envelope. Nurse Spencer said she was proud of the kind of nurse Elizabeth became as she knew Audrey was. Next, Bobbie ran into Carly, whose envelope was in the pediatric wing where the donation was made on Michael’s (Chad Duell) behalf. Carly told Bobbie she (Carly) was pregnant. Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) told Lucy there wasn’t a chance for them to get back together because he still loved Laura. Elizabeth thanked both Bobbie and Epiphany (Sonya Eddy) for helping to make her a good nurse. Once everyone have found their envelopes, they all gathered at the nurse’s station where Alexis instructed them to open their envelopes. Surprisingly, they contained confetti which Franco tossed in the air. Alexis read a letter from Gail, who apologized for having them participate in a scavenger hunt for confetti. The letter explained how Gail wanted everyone to come together to remember how important General Hospital was to them. Scott walked to Gail’s photo in the portrait gallery and removed the black cover. Then viewers got a retrospective of scenes from General Hospital’s past 56 years featuring some of the characters who appeared on the anniversary episode like Monica, Leslie, Laura, Scott, Mac, Felicia, Lucy, Kevin, Sonny and Carly. Happy Anniversary General Hospital…here’s to the next 56 years!

Trina asked Josslyn (Eden McCoy) why she and Oscar (Garren Stitt) were at the county clerk’s office. Julian (William deVry) told Oscar anything he ordered at Charlie’s was on the house. Although he didn’t think Cameron would listen to anything a guy with his history said, Franco promised Elizabeth he wouldn’t disappoint her. Elizabeth encouraged Franco to be himself. Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth) gave Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLauhlin) her trust recording. He told her in order for her soul to be ready for enlightenment in Dawn of Day Kristina would have to pay a ten thousand dollar fee. But as she’d done so well in outreach, she could pay in installments with a twenty-five hundred down payment. Since she couldn’t get her hands on her trust fund money until she turned thirty, Kristina wondered how she’d get the cash she needed. Jason (Steve Burton) and Sam (Kelly Monaco) met in the bridge. Jason told Sam how angry he was she left Danny (T.J. Weaver) with Shiloh at Kelly’s and warned that should never happen again even if it meant blowing her cover to infiltrate Dawn of Day. Jason wanted to pull Kristina out now, but Sam urged to wait. She received a call from Shiloh who asked her to come to the house. Michael (Chad Duell) told Sonny (Maurice Benard) he felt that he could get through Kristina by showing her he wasn’t judging her. Kristina told Julian about needing money to invest in her future. Jerome offered his help, but was surprised that she wouldn’t come to her family first. Elizabeth asked Bobbie’s Jackie Zeman) advice on raising sons. Franco called Cameron and asked the teen to meet him in the lounge near the General Hospital locker room. When Cameron arrived, Franco had a candid talk about sex with him. After Cameron left for his community service, Franco congratulating himself feeling he’d reach the teen. He later told Elizabeth the talk went well. Jason and Sonny talked about Shiloh and Dawn of Day. Sam arrived at the Dawn of Day house where Shiloh wanted to test her trust by blindfolding her. But independent woman Ms. McCall put the blindfold on herself and passed Archer’s trust test. As she left the Dawn of Day house, Sam ran into Margaux who’d arrived for her own session. Oscar and Josslyn came to the bridge and talked about how that he gone to the courthouse to get a marriage license even though they were underage and would have needed parental  Oscar gave Josslyn a gift to remember him by: The lock to his locker. Josslyn took out red nail polish and painted “J+O Forever” then locked the lock to the bridge to symbolize that their love would last forever. They wondered years from now what people would think and make up about their love story when they saw the lock on the bridge.

Carly (Laura Wright) came to General Hospital for her doctor’s appointment. Even though Carly was familiar what she needed to do, Epiphany (Sonya Eddy) reminded its been fifteen years since Mrs. Corinthos was pregnant with Josslyn (Eden McCoy); Nurse Johnson told Carly the baby was important to Epiphany too. Jordan (Briana Henry) told Lulu (Emme Rylan) that Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) was getting treatment at a secure location. Commissioner Ashford added that although the FBI and The Royal Canadian Mounted Police called off the search for Ryan ruling him dead, Jordan vowed she would stop looking for the serial killer until she’d seen his body herself. Meanwhile, Ava (Maura West) had a nightmare where a man (probably Ryan) had his hand around her throat. She arranged to up her security. Kim (Tamara Braun) told Julian (William deVry) that he couldn’t spend the night at her place anymore as she had to talk with Oscar (Garren Stitt) about moving into the Quartermaine mansion and the end of his life. Oscar gave Josslyn a digital watch and told her to think of him as he would her when it hit 11:11. As they danced to their song, Oscar suddenly passed out from another seizure. Josslyn called 911. At the gym, Drew (Billy Miller) and Curtis (Donnell Turner) worked out. Drew talked about preparing his son for the end. Julian arrived at Ava’s where he saw her security upgrade. She told him her plan to be ready for when Ryan came to her and how she’d shoot him in a way in which he’d die slowly and painfully. Julian said he was moving in with Ava. Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) arrived at Laura’s (Genie Francis) and asked her why she paid his bail. Laura explained she felt he wasn’t a danger to society. Plus as he’d been locked at Ferncliff for months she didn’t feel it was fair for him to be in lockup. When Lulu arrived, she immediately though Kevin was Ryan. After Kevin left, Lulu told her mother about Dante going away for treatment because of what he went through in Turkey.  Lulu said it was difficult going into the office thinking about Ryan’s attack. Laura urged Lulu to leave Port Charles for awhile. Stella (Vernee Watson) revealed to Curtis and Jordan General Hospital was an out-of-network hospital care facility for Jordan’s dialysis. Epiphany told Kevin the board voted: He no longer had a job at GH. Kim and Drew arrived at General Hospital for Oscar’s appointment on final care. Kim received a call from Josslyn who told her about Oscar’s seizure. Oscar’s parents rushed to the third floor to be with their son. Josslyn called her mother and told Carly what happened. Dr. Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) told Kim and Drew if Oscar woke up from his coma to be prepared that he may not be the same. Carly comforted her daughter. Joss cried how Oscar’s seizure was worst than last time and how she just wanted him to wake up one more time to say she loved him.

Finn (Michael Easton) came to the gym where Chase (Josh Swickward) was working out. At The Floating Rib, Anna (Finola Hughes) and Maxie (Kristen Storms) talked about what Lulu (Emme Rylan) was going through now that Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) has left town again. Maxie wanted to offer Lulu her support. When Peter (Wes Ramsey) arrived, Anna questioned Maxie about her relationship with her (Anna) son. Peter talked with Amy’s brother Chad Driscoll. Chad asked Peter whether he (Chad) had a chance with Maxie.  Peter was surprised as Chad hadn’t displayed any interest in Maxie. But both agreed it may be too soon after Nathan. Maxie assured Anna that Peter didn’t think about her that way. Jordan (Briana Henry) told Ava (Maura West) and Julian (William deVry) that the Royal Mounted Canadian Police found a hand in the water they believed to be Ryan’s (Jon Lindstrom) so they’ve closed their investigation. Ava reasoned the left-handed Ryan cut off his own hand to make the authorities believe he were dead. Jordan agreed with Ava and told Ms. Jerome that DNA tests were being done to verify if the hand was Ryan’s. After Jordan left, Ava again vowed to Julian she’d kill Ryan if he were alive.  Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) was locked out of his bank and email accounts. Lucy (Lynn Herring) entered Charlie’s Pub. Kevin told her his difficulty in reclaiming his life back from Ryan. Lucy suggested him considering moving into a condo she felt was perfect for him. Laura encouraged Lulu to leave Port Charles for awhile; she could stay at Laura’s flat in Paris. Laura promised to help with Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) even though it might having contact with Valentin (James Patrick Stuart). Nina (Michelle Stafford) and Valentin called a meeting with Principal Schultz to discuss Willow’s (Katelyn MacMullen) treatment of Scarlett. They accused the teacher of being bias towards the little girl and demanded Ms. Tait be fired. But the union rep there to ensure Willow’s rights were being honored insisted Willow’s record spoke for itself and was exemplary. Valentin demanded Willow be monitored closely from now on and if her behavior towards Charlotte didn’t change, Cassadine warned they’d be hearing from his lawyers. Finn showed Chase the engagement ring he brought for Anna and told his brother of his plan to propose to Ms. Devane, adding if Roxie the bearded dragon was unavailable Chase could be his best man. Lulu told Nina and Valentin she was leaving town for awhile and that Laura would be helping to keep an eye on Charlotte as she wasn’t taking the little girl with her.  Jordan told Laura about the right hand found by the Canadian police that they believed belonged to Ryan Chamberlain and how they were closing the case. After talking with both Maxie and her son, Anna realized each thought the other wasn’t interested in a relationship. Maxie told Peter that Chad asked her out but she turned him down because she was interested in someone else (Peter).
