Week In Review 7/1-7/6/18 on #GeneralHospital via @stacyamiller85 @GeneralHospital #GH #GH55

A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

As Maxie’s (Kristen Storms) baby shower concluded, she thanked the ladies for attending and talked about how excited she was Baby James would be coming home the day after tomorrow. Nina (Michelle Stafford) reminded her aunt Liesl (Kathleen Gati) that if anyone discovered they were holding Peter (Wes Ramsey) in the cabin, Baby James would be visiting them in Pentonville. But Liesl assured that ever since she had taken Peter out in that laundry cart, she had dotted every ‘i’ and crossed every ‘t’ so there was no way they’d be discovered. Meanwhile, a boy scout name Wyatt Hoover (Patrick J. Gibbons) of the PC Pioneers Ranging Racoons was alerted to Peter’s screams and used the key hidden under the mat to open the door to the cabin. Peter asked for Wyatt’s help freeing him, enticing the boy with the chance of moving up to wolverine by earning merit badges for courage, bravery and life saving. Peter urged Wyatt to bring camp leader and every adult he could find back. But Wyatt left for the Fourth of July fireworks. However, the boy also left his bugle behind, which guaranteed his return and possibly Peter’s rescue. Michael (Chad Duell) gave Nelle (Chloe Lanier) an engagement ring but she was skeptical of wearing it, telling Michael that Zack died after she began wearing the engagement ring he gave her. Michael convinced Nelle that Zack’s death wasn’t due to her being happy so Nelle put on the ring. Michael planned to announce their engagement to his family. Jason (Steve Burton) told Sonny (Maurice Benard) about Nelle messing up with the invisible ink on the flyer. Carly (Laura Wright) used the morse code app on the burner phone to translate that patient next door’s message. She then asked Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) whether she should be concerned about the patient. Michael told Ned (Wally Kurth), Olivia (Lisa LoCicero), Bobbie (Jackie Zeman), Josslyn (Eden McCoy), Lulu (Emme Rylan), Sonny and Jason that he and Nelle were getting married.  While Bobbie vowed over her dead body, Sonny said he hoped Michael knew what he was doing.  Nelle asked Josslyn to be her maid of honor. Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Curtis (Donnell Turner) shared their theory that an enemy helped Peter escape. After Maxie left, Curtis showed Sam security footage of someone pushing a laundry cart out of the Metro Court. Chase (Josh Swickward) admitted to Jordan (Vinessa Antoine) his police career was diverted in Florida because he got involved romantically with Janelle Benson; he planned to use Nelle’s belief he was still infatuated with her to his advantage to prove she killed Zack and set up Carly Corinthos. Jordan offered the PCPD’s support. Kevin urged Carly to use her time in Ferncliff to work on her feelings over losing Morgan. Nina and Liesl returned to the cabin where Obrecht administered more antibiotics then left to get supplies from her car.  Once they were alone, Peter told Nina that their (his and Nina) time for redemption was running out; he was leaving the cabin either way alive or dead, and Nina would end up in prison. After Nina left and Liesl returned, Peter hinted that the sequel to The Severed Branch wouldn’t turn out the way Liesl thought as he eyed Wyatt’s left behind bugle. Nelle arrived at Ferncliff and told Carly she had news that would make her day.

Tuesday

Michael (Chad Duell) assured Jason (Steve Burton) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) he knew what he was doing when he proposed to Nelle (Chloe Lanier). Sonny decided to go to Ferncliff to give Carly (Laura Wright) the engagement news. Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) introduced Terry (Cassandra James) to Cameron, who left to watch the fireworks. After Cameron left and Franco (Roger Hogwarth) arrived, Liz made the introductions. Franco admitted he was relieved Terry is now a woman.  Terry told Elizabeth and Franco how she never felt like herself when she was a boy and decided to do something to reconcile the physical with the emotional. Terry was now able to be her true self. Unfortunately, neither Terry’s parents or her brother Sean were able to accept who she really was and Terry’s brother hasn’t spoken with her since she transitioned. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) apologized to Oscar (Garren Stitt) for how she acted the last time they were together. When Cameron arrived, it was obvious that Oscar was experiencing pangs of jealousy. Carly kept her cool while Nelle taunted her about the bond she and Josslyn share and when Nelle revealed she and Michael were engaged. Sonny’s arrival signaled Nelle’s departure. Even though he explained Michael’s real motive for proposing, it didn’t stop Carly from worrying about her son and what Nelle could do to him. Brad (Parry Shen), Lucas (Ryan Carnes) and Sam (Kelly Monaco) had a pre-adoption celebration at The Metro Court while Julian (Willian deVry) watched.  He lamented to Kim (Tamara Braun) how he regreted not raising his children. Julian assured Kim that he doesn’t judge her for the choices she made with Oscar; he knows she didn’t keep him from Drew on purpose. Michael was determined to make Nelle feel safe and secure so she’d make a mistake. Jason urged Michael not to let Nelle make him sell his soul. Elizabeth was happy Terry would be working at General Hospital and invited her friend to her wedding. Nelle returned to the Quartermaine mansion and admitted to Michael she went to give his mother the good news about their engagement. Sonny promised Carly they’d celebrate Independence Day next year. While Kim, Julian, Brad and Lucas watched the fireworks at The Metro Court, Sam and Danny joined Jason on the bridge and watched the fireworks display together as a family.

Wednesday

Encore Episode from January 17, 2018 where Ava (Maura West) had her facial surgery and saw Morgan (Bryan Craig), Connie and a grown up version of her daughter Avery.

Thursday

Milo (Drew Cheetwood) came to Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) house to deliver the information Corinthos needed abut the Croton issue. Milo shared with Sonny the struggles he faced when his mother had Alzheimer’s and urged Sonny to seek out help if he needed it. Sonny thanked Milo for sharing his story as it helps Sonny as he goes through his own battle with Mike. Ava (Maura West) and Julian (William deVry) talked about Kiki (Hayley Erin). Scott (Kin Shriner) showed Franco (Roger Hogwarth) the photo Dr. Bensch (James DePaiva) had of Griffin (Matt Cohen) and Kiki hugging. Franco and Scott shared a father son moment where Franco told him of the sexual abuse he endured at the hands of Jim Harvey. Griffin assured Stella (Venee Watson) he’d never use his position as a doctor as power over someone. Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Drew (Billy Miller) talked about their divorce being final and her giving up her share in Aurora. Drew refused to accept Sam’s wedding rings and urged her to give them to Scout someday. Alexis (Nancy Grahan) told Kiki that Bensch would try to portray her as a slut and urged her to disclose anything about her sexual history that Dr. Bensch could use against them in court. Later, Kiki came to Griffin at the hospital and told him they needed to go somewhere and talk alone. Oscar (Garren Stitt) was angry that Drew talked with Kim about Oscar wanting his parents back together. Scott overheard Kiki and Griffin talking in the park about sleeping together. Kim and Ava decided on a double date with Griffin and Julian. While Julian talked with Kim about expanding the back room of Charlie’s Pub, Sonny realized that Mike moved the body he dug up in Croton to Port Charles and Charlie (the original owner of Charlie’s Pub) helped him and that it is buried in the pub.

Friday

Sonny (Maurice Benard) told Jason (Steve Burton) about Nelle (Chloe Lanier) visiting Carly (Laura Wright) at Ferncliff to give her the wedding news. He also told Jason about learning from Mike that the Croton body was buried in Charlie’s Pub. Michael (Chad Duell) received a text from Chase (Josh Swickward) asking him to come to Jordan’s (Vinessa Antoine) office. Kiki (Hayley Erin) insisted to Griffin (Matt Cohen) to keep the secret of them sleeping together, but Dr. Monroe refused to lie under oath. In the end, Kiki decided to spare her mother the truth. At Charlie’s Pub, Nelle showed Ava her engagement ring. Ava (Maura West) reminded Nelle she had the baby blanket and would be holding onto it. Jordan was skeptical about Chase’s plan to trap Nelle as it involved Michael pretending to die. While she waited for Baby James to come home, Maxie (Kristen Storms) invited Lulu (Emme Rylan) over to join she and her friend Colonel Harlan Sanders (George Hamilton) of KFC fame for lunch. Colonel Sanders told the story about how a syndicate tried to steal his secret recipe. Maxie agreed to hide the chicken recipe for Colonel Sanders. PC Pioneers Ranging Racoon scout Wyatt (Patrick J. Gibbons) returned to the cabin for his bugle. Peter (Wes Ramsey) asked whether the boy had told anyone he (Peter) was there. Wyatt hadn’t as he thought no one would believe him. However, Peter was able to convince Wyatt to untie him. Jason checked Charlie’s Pub for structural damage in the basement due to the earth quake that could unearth the body. The foundation was in tact.  However, Julian (William deVry) later revealed to Jason and Sonny that he was planning to expand the pub.
