The GH nurses gave the best of their love in the opening number of the 2019 Nurses Ball. Scott (Kin Shriner) was surprised to find Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) in the hotel room without Lucy (Lynn Herring). Kevin said as the Nurses Ball had begun, Lucy was already out on stage. Ava (Maura West) realized Scott set it up so Kevin would be caught red-handed with Lucy. Sam (Kelly Monaco) took a selfie of she and Shiloh(Coby Ryan McLaughlin) and texted it to Jason (Steve Burton) so he and Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) would know the DOD house was empty. While watching the red carpet event on television with Josslyn, Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth) saw a photo of Sam and Shiloh at the Nurses Ball and then called Jason. When Finn spotted his ring as Yvonne (Janet Huber) showed it off to Carly (Laura Wright) and Sonny (Maurice Benard), he approached Corinthos and told Sonny the ring was his and it was special and he needed to get it back. So, Sonny came to his dad and told Mike (Maurice Benard) the ring he was sold was a fake. Mike didn’t want to take the ring back from Yvonne. Finn presented Robert’s (Tristan Rogers) ring for Corbin to give to Yvonne instead. And when Yvonne got the ring, she said it was better than the other one. Before they left, Mike told Sonny the song they did together at last year’s Nurses Ball was special. Chase (Josh Swickward) again brought down the house with his song and dance routine. But this time, he brought Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) on stage. Shiloh was put on the spot when Peter (Wes Ramsey) mentioned Molly’s (Haley Pullos) pitch to do a story about a new group in town called Dawn of Day and as its leader. August suggested Shiloh could provide insight. Maxie (Kristen Storms) said the name ‘Shiloh’ was perfect for the leader of a cult. Cameron (Will Lipton) told Josslyn (Eden McCoy) he had something from Oscar. Finn told Robert he gave his ring away to a good cause. As Anna was giving a speech about Robin, Scorpio knock the ring out of Finn’s hand and it ended up by Anna’s feet.
Robert (Tristan Rogers) urged Finn (Michael Easton) to pick up his ring. Finn walked out on stage, bent on one knee to pick up the ring and asked Anna (Finola Hughes) to marry him to the smile of Chase (Josh Swickward) and mouth opened look of Peter (Wes Ramsey). Anna accepted to the standing ovations of the guests. After congratulating the happy couple, Peter suggested they be given some time alone to celebrate. Finn and Anna left the ball for privacy in a room where Finn told her the story of hoe he purchased the ring and wanted the proposal to be at the right time. Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth) arrived at the Nurses Ball demanding to know what Sam (Kelly Monaco) was doing with Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLaughlin). When he overheard Archer telling Krissy there was always a place for her at DOD, Sonny (Maurice Benard) warned Shiloh to stay away from his daughter. Cameron (Will Lipton) came to see Josslyn (Eden McCoy) to deliver a tape with a message from Oscar (Garren Stitt). She played it after he left. When Oscar’s face appeared on her computer screen, Joss eyes welled with tears as he said how much he was glad he met and fell in love with her but wished their time hadn’t been so short. He encouraged her to go on with her life starting with performing their song at the Nurses Ball. So, Josslyn put on her gown and left for the ball. For the first time at the Nurses Ball, Liesl is scheduled for an act without having to hijack the ball. And her singing partner is Franco (Roger Howarth). The two perform the appropriately titled song “Guilty.” Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) called Laura (Genie Francis) put was only able to leave voice mail messages for her. Meanwhile, Curtis (Donnell) and Laura were unconsciousness from the explosion at April’s house in Canada. Cameron sang at original composition he wrote himself called “North Star” at the Nurses Ball. He later told Josslyn how he had a lot of feelings to deal with and writing music helped. Josslyn congratulated Oscar on his number and thanked him for delivering Oscar’s message. Willow (Katelyn MacMullen)accidentally spilled her drink on Nina (Michelle Stafford) and told her one of the perks of losing her job was not dealing with Ms. Reeves anymore. Later, Nina overheard Willow saying she had a baby. Curtis and Laura were found and treated for their injuries. Realizing Ryan (also Lindstrom) was on his way back to Port Charles, Laura requested a helicopter while Ashford called Detective Chase to warn him. Lucy (Lynn Herring) was angry and upset when she found out Kevin was having two dozen long stemmed roses delivered for Ava (Maura West) in which they had to be signed for by him. Kevin explained to Lucy that Ava was performing and he wanted to make it special for her. But while Ava was singing her steamy torch song, we saw Kevin lying unconscious on the floor.
Ryan (Jon Lindstrom) stood over his unconscious twin and taunted Kevin (also Lindstrom) the story of his (Ryan) demise was premature but Kevin’s won’t be. Ned (Wally Kurth) and Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) perform. Nina (Michelle Stafford) returned to her table and expressed her annoyance over Willow (Katelyn MacMullen). After overhearing she and Nina talking about her having a baby, Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) confronted her about being pregnant with their child when she left DOD. Willow admitted she was pregnant but lied she had a miscarriage. Shiloh saw through her lie and demanded answers about where his child was. Michael (Chad Duell) pulled Shiloh off Willow and prepared for a fight by removing his tuxedo jacket. Shiloh left before the altercation got physical, but warned Willow it wasn’t over. Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) played the piano and sang “Nothing Without You” directly to a smiling Nina (Michelle Stafford). Josslyn (Eden McCoy) sat alone outside the ballroom. Sonny (Maurice Benard) came to her and like a good stepfather told her that although he knew she was sad and missed Oscar (Garren Stitt), performing the song they wrote might help her feel closer to him. Sonny assured his step daughter that Oscar would always be with her. Chase (Josh Swickward) updated Ava (Maura West), Mac (John J. York) and Felicia (Kristen Storms) about Curtis’ (Donnell Turner) call and how Ryan had killed the woman he’d gotten to help him and attempted to kill Ashford and Laura (Genie Francis) with an explosion. Detective Chase said Chamberlain had a head start and they didn’t know where he was going. But Ava knew exactly where Ryan was headed….to her. Scott (Kin Shriner) ran into Ryan but thought it was Kevin until he pulled off Chamberlain’s fake hand. Ryan clobbered Baldwin over the head and then watched Ava as she left. Epiphany (Sonya Eddy) found Scott as he regained consciousness but thought he was drunk. Josslyn sang her and Oscar’s song “A List of Things to Do.” It was a beautiful tribute to the late teen. When Shiloh returned to his table and told Sam (Kelly Monaco) that he just found out a woman he knew had his child but lied the baby died. Seeing Willow’s face when Michael brought her back into the room and remembering how opposed she was to Shiloh and DOD, Lucas (Ryan Carnes) made the connection that Shiloh and Willow were Wiley’s birth parents. Sam comforted Shiloh saying she knew how it felt to lose a child. Shiloh thanked her for being there for him and told her he wanted her to join The Trust because something was coming and he wanted her by his side. Ava waited for Ryan and he appeared at her door. As Lucy was instructing the crew to take down the sets, an unconscious Kevin wearing a straitjacket dropped down from the rigging.
At the Dawn of Day house, Shiloh was pleased Sam (Kelly Monaco) was joining The Trust tonight. Meanwhile, Sonny (Maurice Benard) hopped into the surveillance car and along with Jason (Steve Burton) listened to Sam and Shiloh’s conversation. Curtis (Donnell Turner) and Laura (Genie Francis) were back from Canada and helped get Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) down from the rigging. Once Kevin regained consciousness, he told his wife Ryan (also Lindstrom) was back in town. But Laura said she knew. Kevin worried about Ava (Maura West) as he knew his psycho twin was headed for her. When she turned around and saw Ryan, Ava pretended she thought it was Kevin and was relieved he was okay. But Ryan pulled out a knife and revealed who he was. He asked Ava about her relationship with his brother. Ava said she was only with Kevin because he was a poor substitute for the man she really loved: him. Testing to see whether she was telling the truth, Ryan asked Ava how she felt about him killing Kiki (Hayley Erin) the person she loved must in the world. Ava answered that although she’ll always grieve for Kiki in the end all she felt for her daughter was pain and resentment. Ava told Ryan that he not Kiki was the thing she loved most in the world. Laura blamed Margaux (Elizabeth Hendrickson) for April’s death because the D.A. called off the search for Ryan. Lucy (Lynn Herring) learned Ava and Kevin were pretending to be a couple to lure Ryan back to Port Charles. Margaux pulled Chase aside and authorized him to use whatever means necessary if needed to protect another innocent person from being murdered. Jordan went into cardiac arrest when Curtis told her Ryan was alive and back in Port Charles. Monica (Leslie Charleson) was able to get Jordan stabilized, but told Curtis that Jordan could no longer get dialysis and needed a transplant right away. Lucas confronted Willow about Shiloh being Wiley’s father and his worried he and Brad (Parry Shen) would lose him because they adopted him without Shiloh’s consent. Meanwhile, Shiloh insisted Sam drink the tea to calm her when he tattooed her. Seeing no way out of it, Sam drank the tea. Overhearing, Jason told Sonny it was time to move. They took out the guards and Jason made it upstairs but found Sam and Shiloh gone. He told Sonny he knew where they went. Later, Sonny called Margaux to the DOD house and told her about Archer. Brad continued to defend Shiloh, who brought a semiconscious Sam to the lighthouse. Curtis realized as they were twins, Ryan could be Jordan’s kidney donor. Ava told Ryan she wanted to have that life they planned and leave Port Charles for good. She said she could leave Avery behind because like Kiki one day the little girl would grow up and turn on her. Ryan said no one will ever love Ava like him. Ava said they were alike as they were both willing to watch the other die. Then, she pulled her gun out and pointed it at the serial killer.
Sonny (Maurice Benard) asked Margaux (Elizabeth Hendrickson) as one of Shiloh’s (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) followers where the cult leader would go to escape. Shiloh brought a semiconscious Sam to the lighthouse. He took off his shirt and began kissing her. Jason appeared and grabbed Shiloh and pulled him off Sam before he was able to rape her. Jason punched Shiloh and threw him down the stairs. Then, he carried Sam and took her out of the lighthouse. Lulu (Emme Rylan) came to the PCPD and questioned Chase (Josh Swickward) about the search for Ryan. Meanwhile, Ava (Maura West) told Ryan (Jon Lindstrom) how Kevin (also Lindstrom) was smarter than him because Kevin knew his jealousy over them (Ava and Kevin) being together would bring Ryan back to Port Charles. She told Ryan she wanted him to die slowly and experience the same fear Kiki (Hayley Erin) did when she knew her life was ending. Then she asked him to tell her about her daughter’s final moments. Ryan said that when Kiki knew she was going to die she tried running away. Then she called out for her mother and her final words were asking for Ava’s forgiveness and telling her she loved her. At General Hospital, Curtis (Donnell Turner) told Laura (Genie Francis) about Jordan’s heart attack and how Ryan was the only person who could save his wife’s life as he had the kidney she desperately needed. Lucy appeared and was able to give them the address to a remote mountain cabin she sold Ava that was two miles away. Curtis asked Laura to give him a head start before alerting the police as he needed Ryan taken in alive…Chamberlain was Jordan’s only hope. Sonny questioned Margaux about how a smart woman like her could fall for Shiloh’s DOD cult. Margaux said it was because of Sonny and discovering her father’s mob ties and mother’s lies. When Sam awoke up in the hospital, Jason told her what happened with Shiloh. Brad (Parry Shen) came to see Julian (William deVry). He told him about Willow thinking Shiloh was Wiley’s father. Brad wanted to come clean and explain to Shiloh that he wasn’t Wiley’s father. But Julian urged him not to say anything; he’d taken care of it. Julian vowed Brad and Lucas (Ryan Carnes) wouldn’t lose their son. Sonny came to Shiloh hospital room and told him that a push down the stairs would be a picnic compared to what will happen to him give he doesn’t give him (Sonny) back Kristina’s pledge. Curtis burst into the mountain house and tried to talk Ava out of killing Ryan. Then, the police and Chase arrived and Ryan was arrested. As he was lead out, Ryan taunted Ava she couldn’t kill him because she still loved him. Suddenly, Ava picked up Ryan’s knife and to the shocked look on Chase’s face sobbed Chamberlain in the back.
