Week In Review 4/29-5/3/19 on #GeneralHospital via @stacyamiller85 @GeneralHospital #GH #GH56

A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Jason (Steve Burton) found Sonny (Maurice Benard) in the Corinthos kitchen making lasagna. Sam (Kelly Monaco) arrived. Sonny told them he was getting them some help. Milo (Drew Cheetwood) arrived at the Dawn of Day house. Undercover as Mark Turner to give Sam an opportunity to search the DOD house for Kristina’s (Lexi Ainsworth) pledge, Milo explained he knew of the work DOD does for the community so he brought the book after hearing Shiloh speak (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) and read it cover to cover. He needed Shiloh’s help to love himself. His girlfriend left him, calling him clingy. “Mark” said he lost his job but because his parents were killed in a car accident due to faulty manufacturing and as he was an only child, he got a large settlement and wanted to register for several seminars. When Sam entered, Shiloh introduced her to “Mark.” Shiloh then accompanied “Mark” to a seminar, giving Sam the chance to look for Kristina’s pledge. Upstairs, Sam found the file Shiloh kept on her in the locked drawer. Dr. Neil Burns arrived at the Corinthos kitchen and told Jason and Sonny about Kristina and Alexis (Nancy Grahan) cell phone incident. Learning Kristina called a person she recently got out of her life, Jason and Sonny realized she called Detective Valerie Spencer (Paulina Bugembe). Meanwhile, Chase (Josh Swickward) and Valerie approached Jordan (Briana Henry) and Margaux (Elizabeth Hendrickson) with their believe Kristina could be in trouble. But as Alexis heard from her daughter, Margaux didn’t authorize the investigation. At the memorial service for Ryan (Jon Lindstrom), Lulu (Emme Rylan) recorded the event to appear on The Invader’s digital version. Kevin (also Lindstrom) and Ava (Maura West) began their plan to be a couple. Later at The Metro Court, Lucy (Lynn Herring) didn’t like the couple’s closeness. Not wanting to give away the plan, Ryan assured Lucy he knew what he was doing and told her to trust him. After the seminar, Milo tried to stall Shiloh who was wondering where Sam had gone. Unsuccessful, Milo texted Sam that Shiloh was looking for her and told her to get out of there.

Sam (Kelly Monaco) found her Dawn of Day file but had to rush out of the room when she received a text from Milo (Drew Cheetwood) telling her Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) was looking for her. Running into Shiloh in the hall, Sam lied she realized they were running low of flyers and wanted to use the office upstairs to scan more. Shiloh told her the office was off limits. Sam asked why…what was in the room? Shiloh unlocked the room and showed it was a normal office but admitted members of The Trust have access to the room as they are offered certain privileges. Sam vowed to do whatever was necessary to prove she was worthy of being a member. Milo appeared and “Mark” offered to take Sam to lunch to thank her for helping him choose DOD classes. At Sonny’s safe house, Sonny (Maurice Benard) told Alexis (Nancy Grahan) that Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth) called Valerie Spencer. Chase (Josh Swickard) and Valerie (Paulina Bugembe) decided to investigate Kristina’s disappearance outside the PCPD. Valerie pretended she was receiving stalking phone calls from an ex-boyfriend and needed a number traced. At General Hospital, Jordan (Briana Henry) passed out and Stella (Vernee Watson) found her. Finn (Michael Easton) asked Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) whether she’d heard from Hayden (Rebecca Budig) as he had something to tell her. Stella’s screams for help alerted Dr. Finn and Nurse Webber. Finn requested a gurney. Later, he revealed Jordan’s remaining kidney had been compromised due to an injection, which they could treat with antibiotics. Curtis (Donnell Turner) offered a man paid to break into a pharmacy in Canada one hundred dollars to reveal the name of the woman he paid him. He called his wife to tell her. But after urging from Elizabeth to be honest with Curtis, Jordan said she had something to tell him and it wasn’t good. Franco (Roger Howarth) came to see Drew (Billy Miller) at the Quartermaine mansion and they talked about Kiki (Hayley Erin) and Oscar (Garren Stitt). Having traced the call to Ms. Davis’ phone, Chase and Valerie arrived at Sonny’s safe house and questioned Alexis about the call to Detective Spencer coming from her phone. Neil hid. Alexis lied that she and Kristina mistakenly mixed up their phones.  She added that unless the PCPD had a legal matter regarding questioning Kristina, Alexis wouldn’t betray her daughter’s privacy by telling where she was. Ava (Maura West) received a call Mac (John J. York) thought was from Ryan. Later, Lulu (Emme Rylan) recorded part one of her interview with Ms. Jerome where Ava talked about falling for Ryan when she thought he was Kevin. Since her car would now be followed in order to locate Kristina, Alexis realized that didn’t necessarily mean the police would be following her. While Sam, Milo and Sonny met to talk about Shiloh and Kristina’s pledge, Shiloh opened the locked office room and looked at Sam’s file, courtesy about what secrets he’d learn from Ms. McCall.

Ned (Wally Kurth) and Monica (Leslie Charleson) visited the Quartermaine family crypt. Carly (Laura Wright) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) talked about being strong like Josslyn (Eden McCoy) Drew (Billy Miller) and Kim (Tamara Braun) talked about what Oscar (Garren Stitt) was going through as the end of his life neared. Josslyn drifted off to sleep while reading to a sleeping Oscar. He woke briefly a saw a woman standing over his bed (his great grandmother Lila). Oscar asked whether he knew her because she seemed familiar. Terry (Cassandra James) talked with Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) there’s usually a five year survival rate for most children diagnosed with cancer and any time after that is a blessing. Suddenly, Oscar awakens. He told Josslyn that he felt better like he had the rest of his life ahead of him. Josslyn called for Kim and Drew. Oscar was taken to General Hospital where Terry told Kim, Drew, Josslyn, Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) that Oscar’s tumor had shrunk and his symptoms were gone…he was in full remission. A happy Josslyn shared the news with Carly and Sonny and they were thrilled. Oscar talked about when he first met the Corinthos and apologized to Sonny for pushing Josslyn away when he found out he was dying. Sonny reminded that it’s unrealistic to think we never hurt the ones we love. At his celebration at Charlie’s, Oscar kept seeing his great grandparents. He came to a revelation that even though his loved ones would miss him, life goes on and there will be things to look forward to for each of them. He saw his mother become engaged to Julian, Carly and Sonny with their new baby and Josslyn and Cameron graduating from high school. He told Josslyn he had to go home when he saw his great grandparents at the door of the pub. Back in reality, Elizabeth told Terry she did everything she could for Oscar. Terry appreciated her friend’s words but declined going on for a drink with her.  Cameron (Will Lipton) was at Charlie’s Pub typing something on his computer. When he walked to the bar, Trini read what he had written. Cameron talked about his dying friend and how he hoped to be the type of friend he was. Cameron ordered Oscar’s favorite drink: A chocolate hurricane. At the Quartermaine crypt, Monica commented to Ned how when her time came (which she hoped wasn’t for awhile) there was going to be some reunion. Then she looked at the memorial plagues for A.J., Alan, Edward and Lila. Olivia looked at the family photo album at a photo of Lila and Edward. Sitting on the stairs at the Quartermaine mansion, Kim suddenly felt cold. Oscar died and his spirit left his body. He kissed a sleeping Josslyn on the cheek and assured her that she would be okay. Then, he met his great grandparents at the doorway of his room and left for his next journey with them. Josslyn woke up and touched her cheek.

Sam (Kelly Monaco) told Jason (Steve Burton) about finding the file Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) kept on her and how creepy it was. Shiloh came to Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) classroom and talked about Harmony (Inga Candranel) being needed back in Beecher’s Corners. He also threatened to reveal her trust secret if she didn’t return to the DOD family. Chase (Josh Swickward) met with Michael (Chad Duell) at Kelly’s Diner and told him that whatever he and his family’s plan are for Kristina it could backfire. Later, Chase came to Willow’s classroom and told her that if she knew anything about what Kristina’s family had done with her she could be a party to a kidnapping. But Willow said if her family did take her away from Shiloh they did what was best for Kristina to protect her. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) woke up and realized Oscar (Garren Stitt) was gone when she went to her boyfriend’s bed. “I’ll love you forever,”she told him. Kim (Tamara Braun) and Drew (Billy Miller). Kim immediately sprang into doctor mode and checked her son’s vitals. She cried when she knew he was dead. Josslyn left Oscar’s parents alone in his room. Ned (Wally Kurth) found her sitting on the stairs and comforted her, asking Joss whether she wanted him to call her mother. Josslyn said she’d do it in a minute. Ned told Joss he helped Oscar with their (Joss and Oscar) song by playing the chords on the guitar when Nero no longer could.  Olivia came out and expressed her condolences to Josslyn. Monica (Leslie Charleson) entered her grandson’s room and found his parents sitting on the bed cradling their son’s body. Drew put his arms around his mother. Monica asked Alan to take care of their grandson.  Josslyn called her mother and told Carly (Laura Wright) she needed her. Before she got on the elevator, Carly ran into Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) and told her Oscar was gone. Liz said she’d tell Cameron (Will Lipton). News of Oscar’s passing quickly spread around Port Charles. Jason left Sam’s to go to the Quartermaines. Michael also arrived at the Quartermaines to offer the family has support.  Shiloh came over to Sam’s. She told him about Oscar’s death. But Oscar said the dead didn’t need her focus; it was about her future. Then, Shiloh asked her to join The Trust. Drew learned Jason was the executor of Oscar’s will and that his son had requested a portion of his inheritance be spend to set up a scholarship for kids interested in mountain climbing. Elizabeth told her son that Oscar passed away. But Cameron (Will Lipton) pretended that he wasn’t upset by saying Oscar was more of Josslyn’s friend than his and they knew it would happen sooner or later. But when he was alone, he sat on the floor of GH and cried. When Josslyn texted him to tell him that Oscar was gone, Cameron found it difficult finding the right words in which to reply.

Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Jason (Steve Burton) decided not to tell Danny (TJ Weaver) about Oscar’s (Garren Stitt) death. Kim (Tamara Braun) had her bags packed to move out of the Quartermaine mansion. Both Kim and Drew (Billy Miller) admitted they hadn’t gotten any sleep. Although she appreciated everything the Quartermaines had done for her and Oscar, Kim reminded Drew she wasn’t a Quartermaine and had to get back to her life no matter how hard it was she had to go back to her empty apartment. Julian (William deVry) came to the school and told Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) he was there to register his son Leo in pre-K. Willow was surprised to learn that Jerome had such a young son. Then, she questioned him about Brad’s (Parry Shen) interest in Dawn of Day. Julian said that DOD was helping to calm Brad’s nerves over being a new father. But Willow warned that Dawn of Day and its leader Shiloh was what they calmed to be. Michael (Chad Duell) ran into Shiloh, who expressed sympathy about Oscar. Michael had to hold back when Archer talked about how Kristina found a real home with DOD. Realizing that Detective Spencer was watching her from her car, Alexis (Nancy Grahan) had Diane (Carolyn Hennesey) pose as her and Valerie followed Ms. Miller. Kristina played a board game with Milo (Drew Chetwood). Later, she admitted to her parents that when she overheard Alexis say how much she couldn’t recognize her daughter when she looked at her, Kristina said she didn’t want them to feel like she chose DOD over them. Sam told Jason how Shiloh wanted her to join The Trust and she was going to give him what he wanted with her pledge. Shiloh came to see Drew. Cain had to control himself when Archer kept talking about Oscar (Garren Stitt) not being really dead as Drew didn’t want to hear any of DOD’s yarn. Valerie followed  “Alexis” inside Kelly’s where Diane revealed herself and threatened to bring a harassment suit against Detective Spencer. Kim returned back to her apartment and saw the heartwarming display of photos, balloons and stuffed animals for Oscar. When Julian arrived, she tearfully told him how she didn’t know how she’ll be able to be there without her son. Julian provided comfort to Kim. Sam and Jason decided that Sam’s trust pledge would involved a made up murder victim Jason supposedly killed. Spinelli would provide the tech support needed to create the fake victim. Jason reasoned Shiloh wouldn’t turn him into D.A. Dawson because he had something on Sam with the pledge. Kristina told her parents that although she didn’t know what would happen with Shiloh and DOD, she hoped her parents would trust her to make the right decision. Michael entered with Willow, who said she was there to tell Kristina the truth about what Shiloh does to young girls like them.
