A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.
At The Metro Court, Sonny (Maurice Benard) told Michael (Chad Duell) how every time he turns around Jax (Ingo Rademachner) is there and it’s getting on his nerves. Speaking of Jax, he enters The Metro Court dining room. Jax asked Alexis (Nancy Grahan) to be his lawyer but refused to accept payment. Ava (Maura West) brought flowers as she visited Kiki’s (Hayley Erin) grave. She wasn’t surprised to see Franco (Roger Howarth). They talked about she pleading not guilty by reason of temporary insanity and his visit to Ryan (Jon Lindstrom). Franco said although he wanted to see Chamberlain pay for killing Kiki, he didn’t want it to happen until Ryan helped Jordan (Briana Henry). He urged Ava to let go of her need for wanting to kill Ryan. But she said she couldn’t do that. Curtis (Donnell Turner) suggested they forge Ryan’s signature on the consent form. Finn (Michael Easton) added they may need to make sure Chamberlain didn’t make it off the table. Kevin (also Lindstrom) came to his brother’s hospital room. He told his brother he realized Ryan was too much of a narcissist to be saved and if there was any justice, Ryan would burn in Hell. Valerie visited Jordan. Elizabeth questioned the fairness of a good person like Jordan dying and Ryan getting to live. At Crimson before Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) left to meet Michael for their date, Nina (Michelle Stafford) told her how much she enjoyed working for Jax. Valentin (Jame Patrick Stuart) was at the door and overheard the conversation and later came downstairs to The Metro Court dining room and sat at the bar with Sonny to discuss Jasper Jax. Dr. Neil Byrnes commented how Jax and Alexis were the most civil divorced couple he ever met. At GH, Ava and Ryan officially “broke up”. Nina told Valentin she wanted to postpone their wedding until September as she was working to up Crimson’s circulation and would be busy with work. While he slept, someone came into Ryan’s room and with gloved hands injected something into his IV.
Carly (Laura Wright) commented how she’s worried about how daughter because this summer Josslyn (Eden McCoy) had nothing to look forward to. Joss entered with Oscar’s (Garren Stitt). In Tanzania, Drew (Billy Miller) came to pick up Kim (Tamara Braun) so they could make the journey to Mount Kilimanjaro to scatter Oscar’s ashes. Kim told Drew how she didn’t want to go asleep because when she did she dreamed of Oscar and it was like he was alive. But once she woke up, Kim knew it wasn’t true and it was hard. Josslyn told her mother and Sonny (Maurice Benard) she’d try to go on with her life the way Oscar wanted. When Carly feels the baby kick, Sonny said it was a reminder life goes on. TJ couldn’t believe Ryan Chamberlain held his mother’s life in his hands. TJ told Jordan (Briana Henry) he needed her to live to see him become a doctor and to hold her grandchildren. Someone injected something into Ryan’s (Jon Lindstrom) IV which made his heart beat rapidly, Finn (Michael Easton) and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) rushed into his hospital room. Cameron (William Lipton) saw Franco (Roger Howarth) disposing of latex gloves like those the person who injected Ryan’s IV was wearing. But Franco said he was wearing the gloves because he’d been working with a chemical needed to remove paint in the art therapy room. Carly and Sonny visited Morgan’s grave and told him about the baby. Josslyn talked about how she didn’t want to forget Oscar and felt his presence as she sang at the Nurses Ball. Stella (Vernee Watson) told Curtis (Donnell Turner) her intention of peaking with Ryan Chamberlain and getting him to consent to donating his kidney. Curtis didn’t want his auntie anywhere near Ryan, but she assured she wasn’t easily manipulated. Ms. Henry found TJ already in Chamberlain’s room pleading for Jordan to get the serial killer’s kidney. Ryan said it was major surgery and only dropping of all charges would get him to agree, adding he didn’t care if the Queen Mother or the Mother of Monsters asked! Stella entered the room. She told him she wouldn’t leave until she got his kidney. Stella talked of a higher power that helped Ryan defy the odds of death by fire and water and lead him to this moment. And if he refused to give Jordan his kidney, the tables would turn on him and he’d die and burn in Hell. Calling Stella the most obnoxious woman he ever met, Ryan consented to the surgery if she promised he’d never have to see her (Stella) face against. And Finn assured no one would mess with Ryan’s anesthesia while he was under. Stella even promised to speak on his behalf at the sentencing hearing. With that, Ryan signed the consent form to be Jordan’s kidney donor.
Margaux (Elizabeth Hendrickson) didn’t appreciate being summoned to the Corinthos house. Sonny (Maurice Benard) told her after what he had to say, it would change her opinion of Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLaughlin). Harmony (Inga Candranel) came to visit Shiloh, who demanded she tell him she didn’t have anything to do with keeping his child from him. Harmony insisted she’d do anything for her so she asked him to find and bring him is child. He said if she didn’t there would be no place for her at DOD, The Trust and in his life. Lucas (Ryan Carnes) came to see Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) in her classroom to talk about Wiley. She explained to him about Shiloh and The Trust. Lucas vowed he had no intention of letting Shiloh get his hands on Wiley. And Wiley added she could never see Wiley again as it would raise Shiloh’s suspicions. Julian (William deVry) gave Sam (Kelly Monaco) the fake ID and passport that identified her as Willow. Then “Ms. Tait” entered the County Clerk office to amend the adoption papers. And Julian provided back up and a distraction with a fake fire alarm. At The Metro Court, Lulu (Emme Rylan), Maxie (Kristen Storms) and Peter (Wes Ramsey) discussed Lulu’s article where she posed as a single woman on a dating app to lure a man preying on single women in order to rob them. Peter reminded Lulu it wasn’t her responsibility to bring the man to justice. At Charlie’s Chase (Josh Swickard) admitted to Michael (Chad Duell) he figured out Michael’s godson was Wiley. Sonny played the recording for Margaux proving Shiloh attempted to rape Sam. That along with the toxicology report Archer drugged Sam was enough for the D.A. to issue an arrest warrant. And to motivate her, Sonny revealed he had her pledge. If it got out Margaux knew her mother ordered her father’s murder, she’d lose her job. Margaux said she traded one blackmailer for another. The D.A. called to request the arrest warrant for Shiloh. Sonny gave her back the only copy of her pledge as he didn’t want to blackmail her. Chase came to Willow’s classroom. She talked about how Lucas was the one of the two parents that stood out for her on Brad and Lucas’ adoption application. Chase received a call about the arrest warrant for Shiloh. Willow was relieved but didn’t want to jinx it while Chase happily went off to arrest Shiloh. After Lulu left, Peter continued to caution Maxie against looking for Dante (Dominic Zamprogna). Sam, Julian and Jason all came back to Charlie’s Pub. Sam told Jason that “it was done,” while Jason shared with her that he was certain Margaux Dawson would be issuing a warrant for Shiloh’s arrest. Hoping to get back into Shiloh’s good graces, Harmony came to Willow’s classroom and questioned her daughter about her son. Willow continued to insist to her mother that her baby was dead. Warrant in hand, Detective Harrison Chase entered Shiloh’s hospital and placed David Henry “Shiloh” Archer under arrest for charges including extortion and attempted raped. Then, Chase handcuffed a seething Shiloh to his hospital bed.
Carly (Laura Wright) had a nightmare in which Ryan (Jon Lindstrom) took her baby. She explained to Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he was holding the baby, but when she turned around it was Ryan and he was holding blankets. Sonny got a call that Ava (Maura West) was at the gate. He told Carly she could go upstairs but she said she never ran from Ava Jerome before and wouldn’t start now. Ava told Carly and Sonny how she lured Ryan to her cabin and tricked him into believing she still loved him. She added she would have shot and killed him had it not been for Curtis’ plea to keep him alive as a kidney donor for Jordan. But she ended up stabbing him when Ryan taunted her as he was being led out that he knew she wouldn’t go through with it. Ms. Jerome wanted to celebrate Kiki’s (Hayley Erin) birthday (which was yesterday) with Avery, but Josslyn (Eden McCoy) had taken the little girl to the zoo. Ava promised to call ahead next time. TJ gave his mother information about the kidney transplant procedure. Jordan (Briana Henry) said she couldn’t wait to his her son in his white doctor’s coat. Franco (Roger Howarth) expressed his concern to Finn (Michael Easton) and Laura (Genie Francis) that Jordan’s body could reject the kidney. Harmony (Inga Candranel) questioned Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) about her grandson. She told her daughter that Willow’s response convinced her that her (Harmony) grandson was still alive. Margaux (Elizabeth Hendrickson) arrived in Shiloh’s (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) hospital room and praised Detective Chase (Josh Swickard) for arresting Mr. Archer. After Chase left the room, Margaux revealed to Shiloh that she had her pledge and that she was resigning as D.A. but would prepare her case thoroughly to ensure he’d be sent away for his crimes. Before she was taken into surgery, Jordan asked to see Stella (Vernee Watson). Jordan told Curtis’ (Donnell Turner) aunt that she (Jordan) had a DNR on file and if something went wrong she wanted Ms. Henry to be her advocate and enforce it as she knew neither TJ nor Curtis would. Although he should be awake by now, it seemed Ryan had slipped into a coma. It would be easy for Kevin to kill his brother but Franco reminded Dr. Collins he couldn’t do that while Ryan was unconscious and helpless. Margaux questioned Harmony about whether she knew Shiloh was drugging and blackmailing women. Then the D.A. told Mayor Webber she was resigning. Harmony came back to Shiloh’s hospital room and told Archer he was right…his child was alive. But Harmony lied she didn’t know if the baby was a boy or girl. Shiloh was determined to find his child and he was already thinking how he’d get from under the charges against him. He told Harmony she could help with that.
Carly (Laura Wright) demanded an explanation when Jax (Ingo Rademacher) entered the Corinthos house with a surfboard for Josslyn (Eden McCoy). She added she loved the water as she grew up in Florida but didn’t know how she felt about Josslyn surfing. Carly told Jax she was glad he was staying in Port Charles as their daughter needed her father. Jax told Carly about being the new owner of Crimson. Nina (Michelle Stafford) and Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) brainstormed ideas for the September issue of Crimson. Maxie (Kristen Storms) suggested Ava Jerome (Maura West), certain the issue would sell a lot of magazines. Sasha left the office to meet with Michael (Chad Duell) at Charlie’s Pub after she received a text from him. Once Sasha was gone, Nina reminded Maxie of all the pain Ava caused her (Nina) including having an affair with Ms. Reeves then husband the late Silas Clay (Michael Easton). Nina didn’t want to feature Ava on the Crimson cover knowing Ms. Jerome would play the grieving mother. But Maxie thought they could spin the story in their favor, sell a lot of magazine and finally give Ava the comeuppance she deserved. Curtis noticed the DNR in Elizabeth’s (Rebecca Herbst) hands. Stella (Vernee Watson) told her nephew about the conversation she had with his wife in which Jordan (Briana Henry) requested her wishes be honored should anything go wrong with the surgery. Fortunately, Jordan came out of the operation okay. But Ryan (Jon Lindstrom) was still in a coma. Kevin (also Lindstrom) commented how hard his brother was to kill. He talked with Laura (Genie Francis) about his feelings of waiting his brother dead and for the part he played in Ryan’s return from the dead murder spree. Laura reminded that he was a good man trying to help someone who was lost, but Ryan couldn’t be saved so Kevin had to stop punishing himself for not seeing it. She also said that by deciding to donate his kidney at least Ryan would be doing one good thing with his life. Michael asked Sasha how she felt about going to Martha’s Vineyards with him. Ms. Gilmore was particularly interested in the nude beach she read about. Convinced by Maxie that Ava being the cover of the September issue of Crimson, Nina left the office and found Ms. Jerome at Charlie’s Pub. Curtis visited as wife (who was now awake) in her hospital room. Jordan was relieved that she survived the kidney transplant surgery. Meanwhile, the police wheeled a comatose Ryan on a hospital gurney down the halls of General Hospital where he was being transferred to Pentonville. Kevin and Laura were among those who watched. No one spoke a word as the Ryan Chamberlain murder spree nightmare came to a close.
