General Hospital aired Encore 56th Anniversary episode from Tuesday, April 2, 2019.

Tuesday

Scott (Kin Shirner) came to the PCPD and told Ava (Maura West) he wasn’t going to let her walk into her arraignment for shooting Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) alone. Ava said she didn’t need him help; she only wanted confirmation Ryan was dead. Scott told Ava that when she went into court he wanted her to plead not guilty. Drew (Billy Miller) told Monica (Leslie Charleson) he and Kim (Tamara Braun) were going to Mount Kilimanjaro to spread Oscar’s (Garren Stitt) ashes and he wanted her permission as Quartermaines are usually laid to rest in the family crypt. Leslie thought Mount Kilmanjaro was appropriate. Sam (Kelly Monaco) told Jason (Steve Burton) the con on Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) was the hardest she ever ran. After Jason left to talk with Monica, Sam came into Shiloh’s room. Archer still believed she was in his corner until Sam admitted she’d been lying and said game over. Julian (William deVry) told Kim about his arrest for assaulting Kevin. Scott called Julian and told him to get to the PCPD. Kim gave Josslyn (Eden McCoy) Oscar’s guitar. Learning Kim and Drew would be spreading Oscar’s ashes on Mount Kilmanjaro, Josslyn said thay’s what Oscar would want instead of being inside some crypt. Jason told Monica he needed a rush on Sam’s toxicology blood work for evidence Shiloh drugged her. Test result in hand, Jason came to Shiloh’s hospital room and he and Sam told Archer proof he drugged and attempted to rape her would find its way into the police’s hands unless he gave them Kristina’s pledge. Shiloh reluctantly accepted their terms. He told them the pledges were moved to the place where Jason attacked him. Kristina admitted to her mother that her pledge was about Alexis (Nancy Grahan). Julian convinced Ava to plead not guilty otherwise while she rotted in Pentonville, Ryan would be in Ferncliff or some other institution for the criminally insane. Curtis (Donnell Turner) told Jordan (Briana Henry) she had a heart attack because dialysis comprised her heart so getting a kidney transplant was urgent. He explained as they were identical twins, Ryan Chamberlain was a match like his brother and could be her donor. Unfortunately, he was in surgery as Ava Jerome stabbed him after he was apprehended. Curtis vowed that he’d do anything he had to ensure she was okay. Sam and Jason found the pledges in the lighthouse. The first one they read was Margaux’s (Elizabeth Hendrickson). Kristina’s pledge in hand, Sam said it was over.

Wednesday

Sonny (Maurice Benard) wanted Carly (Laura Wright) to admit the lunch he made for her was better than frozen pizza. Carly assured the lunch was delicious but added nothing was better than frozen pizza. Jax (Ingo Rademacher) entered the Corinthos house. He wanted them to talk before Josslyn (Eden McCoy) came home. Michael (Chad Duell) came to see Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) in her classroom. She expressed her fear that it was only a matter of time before Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) learned the truth about Wiley. Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Jason (Steve Burton) returned to Shiloh’s hospital room and told him they found the pledges where he said they were. But Sam warned Archer it wasn’t over for him; it was just beginning. Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth) told Alexis (Nancy Grahan) the pledge she gave Shiloh was about her mother and said she was so sorry. Jax told Carly and Sonny that Josslyn had to figure out how to live life without Oscar. Carly was glad Joss returned to school but added she (Josslyn) refused to see a grief counselor. As Joss’ parents and stepfather, Jax said they had to find a few to get along for the sake of Josslyn which was easier when he was on the other side of the world. But now he has best interests in the US, he’ll be in Port Charles. Lulu (Emme Rylan) told Maxie (Kristen Storms) about her latest writing assignment which is posing as a single woman on a bunch of dating apps. At The Metro Court when Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) told Nina (Michelle Stafford) she didn’t know how long she’d remain in Port Charles as the right job opportunity may take her out of town, Ms. Reeves reminded if Sasha left she wouldn’t be near Michael. Willow feared Shiloh would go after custody of Wiley if he found out he (Wiley) was his son. Sam told Shiloh how it felt seeing the place where he drugged her and almost raped her because she was too helpless to fight her off. Her only comfort was that Jason threw him (Shiloh) down the stairs like the sack of garbage he was. Alexis said Kristina had nothing to apologize for as she trusted someone (Shiloh) she thought was honest. Ms. Davis encouraged her daughter to tell her what the pledge was if it would make her feel better. Sam entered and announced to Alexis it was over. Then, Sam revealed to Kristina that she was never a part of DOD and only pretended in order to get evidence against Shiloh and stayed to get Kristina’s pledge. Sam wanted her sister to understand that she did it for her. Nina warned Sasha that Michael was a sucker for a helpless woman and that’s what Willow Tait was. Later, Nina confronted Willow after Michael left the teacher’s classroom when she saw them (Willow and Michael) hugging. Sasha and Michael are friends with benefits. But Michael said he likes to get to know his friends better. Jason told Sonny he had Margaux’s (Elizabeth Hendrickson) pledge, which stated she knew her mother plotted to have her father killed but the D.A. was covering the information up to protect her mother. Carly told Jax she was glad he was back in town. Sonny was determined to buy Kate’s old house in order to keep Jax from being his neighbor. Jason said this was the leverage they needed to keep her in line. Margaux came to see Shiloh in this hospital room and questioned him about what Sonny told her about him. She said she wanted to trust him. Sonny came to Alexis’ and she told him that Kristina’s pledge had been about her (Alexis).

Thursday

Sam (Kelly Monaco) left her mother’s house and told Alexis (Nancy Grahan) that Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth) would be okay because it was over. When she returned home to the penthouse, Sam found her father there to see her. Julian (William deVry) told her that her brother needed her help. Lucas met with Alexis and told her that the DOD leader Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) was Wiley’s birth father and asked her whether they could get the adoption records sealed so Shiloh wouldn’t learn the truth. Jax (Ingo Rademacher) told Nina (Michelle Stafford) that his umbrella company brought the print division of Aurora Media which included Crimson. He explained he returned to Port Charles because of his daughter and is looking to increase Crimson’s circulation.To that end, he wanted her to focus on promotion. Jax also showed Ms. Reeves how to head a financial spreadsheet. From her hospital bed and with Elizabeth standing next to her husband, Jordan (Briana Henry) presented Franco (Roger Howarth) with a PCPD award for his role in helping to capture Ryan (Jon Lindstrom). Meanwhile, Ryan awoke from surgery. Lulu (Emme Rylan) and Elizabeth came to Willow’s (Katelyn MacMullen) with a signed petition from the parents stating they wanted her to teacher at Port Charles Elementary in the Fall. Alexis welcomed Jax home and cautioned him about Valentin (James Patrick Stuart). Franco came to see Ryan in his hospital room and taunted Chamberlain over is predictability in returning to Port Charles. Franco told him today would have been Kiki’s (Hayley Erin) birthday. Ryan had no remorse in killing a dull girl like Kiki who’s nothing like her mother (Ava). He added that Franco envied him (Ryan) and that was why it was so easy for him to pretend to be a serial killer. Franco said Ryan would spend the rest of his life in a cage which was what he deserved. Later, Curtis (Donnell Turner) visited Ryan and told Chamberlain he owed him and had to save Jordan’s life.

Friday

Sam assured Julian she was willing to do anything to keep Wiley safe from Shiloh even if it meant working with him (Julian). Jason (Steve Burton) brought Danny home. Danny thanked his grandfather for his birthday gift. After Julian left the penthouse and Danny the room, Sam told Jason about Shiloh being Wiley’s father. She then asked Jason when he was coming home. Scott (Kin Shriner) was glad Julian talked Ava (Maura West) into pleading not guilty. He wondered if he should pursue a temporary insanity defense or self defense, which would be hard with three cops as witnesses. Jordan (Briana Henry) told Kevin (also Lindstrom) and Laura (Genie Francis) she can’t believe Ryan Chamberlain could be her only hope to live, adding it creeped her out she could have a piece of Ryan in her body. Laura reminded it was only tissue, but Jordan needed it to survive. At first he told Curtis (Donnell Turner) he’d see Jordan, the woman who wanted him behind bars, in Hell before giving her his kidney, but then Ryan said he’d entertain offers. Curtis couldn’t believe what Ryan wanted. Lulu (Emme Rylan) told Kevin that as her mother loved him, he’d always be a part of her (Laura) life as well as Rocco and Charlotte’s. But every time she looked at him, all she saw was his sociopath brother who tried to kill her. Kevin explained that time helps victims live with a trauma. Anna (Finola Hughes) told Robert (Tristan Rogers) that Robin invited Peter (Wes Ramsey) to Berkeley to get to know his niece and nephew. But Robert still believed Alex (also Hughes) was Peter’s mother and thought Robin should know. Maxie (Kristen Storms) asked Peter to help her convince Dante to come home as she didn’t want Lulu’s family to suffer from Falconieri being gone. Ava pled not guilty. Margaux (Elizabeth Hendrickson) had no problem with bail as Ms. Jerome wasn’t a danger to society or flight risk. It was set at $100,000. Ava was haunted by the thought her daughter called out for her and she wasn’t there. Curtis told Laura and Jordan that Ryan agreed to donate his kidney if all charges were dropped against him. Jordan refused to let Ryan get away with murder no matter what it cost. Danny called it the best birthday present when he learned Jason was moving back in and they’d be a family again. Anna told Finn she had a flight to Zurich to see Alex and learn the truth about Peter once and for all. Julian urged Ava to put Ryan out of her head. But his sister couldn’t do that. Curtis had a plan to get Ryan’s kidney and told Dr. Finn he needed his help. Ryan had a visitor: Kevin. “Hello brother. Sorry to leave you hanging” Chamberlain smirked.
