I’ve been playing a little bit of television catch up now that my schedule is a little bit more flexible. Recently I finally watched Tales of the City, the recent limited series on Netflix, and the new CW show, In The Dark. While that second show isn’t focused on a queer character, her best friend identifies as a lesbian and I wanted to delve into her role. Day Two of QueerX is just as packed full of great experiences as the first day. During the Revry Summer Preview guests can experience the World Premiere of Laura Linney’s Sink Sank Sunk. This documentary style series that focuses on a young gay recluse who decides to complete his mother’s passion project, a documentary about her multi-generational synchronized swimming team. GLAAD Rising Star Grant recipient River Gallo will also be screening his feature PonyBoi, which was created and stars the first out intersex person in the history of cinema. The Bi Line: ImBIbing in Something New from @kleffnotes

With 2019 starting today I wanted to try and do something new for The Nerdy Girl Express. I have been debating about doing an article series that would focus on LGBTQ+ topics, but hadn’t really had the time to sit down and focus on how to start it. Today seemed like the perfect day. Now in case you didn’t know my name is Katherine and I am an out bi woman. I typically just say bi instead of bisexual, just my personal preference, and I sometimes think up terrible puns involving the word bi. Ages ago I started thinking about the word byline, which is the part of an article that names a writer. Well as someone who is bi it seemed that it could be perfectly altered to use for my own needs.
