Get ready for the upcoming release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker with this vital prequel story, Resistance Reborn. While I am using the full title in the header of this article I will be referring to the book solely by the shorter, and more manageable title for the entire review. Set in the wake of the harrowing escape from Crait the Resistance has been reduced to a handful of wounded heroes. While the names Finn, Poe, Rey, Rose, Chewbacca, and Leia Organa are known throughout the worlds, those who are oppressed can only do so much with merely names. With Leia Organa’s final call for aid going unanswered work must be done to rebuild the Resistance with the presence of the First Order ever looming.
