This week KindaTV mentioned the creation of a new series on their sister channel and I immediately decided to check out the show. Now if you don’t already know I love the KindaTV YouTube channel and I check out everything they recommend. In their latest Kinda News video they mentioned the launch of their sister channel Slutty Book Club and since I love books I thought I needed to check this channel out as soon as possible.
The first three episodes of Slutty Book Club dropped this week and let me tell you they are hilarious. Now the episodes are a bit mature, I’d give it a PG-13 rating. I work at a video store, we have a commercial all about how ratings work so I think I’m a pretty good judge. At least I’ve seen the commercial about a million times and if the dude in the generic superhero suit gets a PG-13 then the ladies who say boobs should too.

Speaking of lovely ladies the show is hosted by two feminist comedians, Sara and Nikki. They are fabulous! Just listening to them talk about the books makes me laugh, and that’s not even all they do in the videos. Not only is there a discussion of the book, but a skit, an in bed summary, and the does this go in my box decision. Besides all of that Christian, who is the multilingual assistant to Nikki and Sara, frequently appears and he has some amazing lines.

My screenshots are a bit weird for the two intro scenes, I tried to fix them, but failed. I really just wanted to showcase how amazing the women on this show are. So far they’ve done Lord of the Flies, Selfish by Kim Kardashian, and 15 Minute Meals by Jamie Oliver. My favorite part of this series is the skits that focus on the books they review. My personal favorite was the female pig focused one they made for Lord of the Flies. It included very messy apple eating and a lactating sow. Sara and Nikki are being interviewed by Natasha Negovanlis on KindaTV today during the newest segment of Kinda Fridays, which should be wonderful. You should definitely check it out.

If you are looking for a good laugh you should watch everything Slutty Book Club has posted. I was literally laughing out loud while watching their content. They also briefly mentioned that they are reading Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein at some point, which I’m really looking forward to.
