“Poetry is the music of the soul, and above all, of great and feeling souls.”
Voltaire

Famous French philosopher Voltaire was correct when he made this observation. Poetry is indeed the music of the soul.

Music feeds the Muse and inspires a poet. As a poet, I often write while listening to Nicki Aycox’s Red Velvet Room, Brian Buckley Band’s Welcome to the Heart of the City and Mandy Rowden’s These Bad Habits.

Singer/Songwriter Destiny Whitaker, a future guest at WISHCon will use her musical talents to turn poet Sky Boivin’s poetry into music.  Boivin is a prolific poet, the author of Inspired Thoughts and An Assortment of Poetry.

Whitaker has the creative genius and emotional depth to pull off this feat. Her instincts are on the mark. In addition, she boasts an impressive musical range. In the past, Whitaker covered Kansas Band’s Carry on Wayward Son and Nicki Aycox’s My Secret.
