If you follow me on Twitter you might have noticed a slew of tweets happening from 2-3 pm on Sunday. On Friday I wound up involved in the planning of a live tweet binge watch of the first eight episodes of The Leslie Series and it was a wonderful experience.

Friday has been a day full of brand new webseries episodes, but this past week two shows had already ended their first season and The Leslie had announced it would be changing its release schedule. While I was scrolling through Twitter I happened to see a tweet by @LezbrosNfrnz that commented on the lack of new episodes. The two of us started commiserating together and wound up deciding to live tweet/binge watch the first eight episodes of The Leslie.

We were really excited about it already, when the Twitter account for The Leslie noticed what we were talking about and actually wound up promoting it. They mentioned it on Friday and then over the course of the weekend also tweeted out some reminders to see if others would be interested in joining. We hadn’t anticipated them being as excited about the live tweet as we were. Then to make everything even more exciting, Watch More Webseries, @AllTheWebseries, also promoted our live tweet.

On Sunday we started live tweeting at 2 pm and it was a lot of fun. I’ve done a few webseries live tweets before, but this one had the most interactions from the show and other people than any of the others. We even wound up taking selfies in snapbacks and beanies just because it seemed like a fun addition. After we got done we discussed doing another live tweet soon. Both of us watch Carmilla and we really wanted to rewatch the first act again so Sunday, 9/27, at 3 pm we are going to live tweet it together. Everyone is invited and we’ll tweet out some details soon. If you are interested you can let me know beforehand or just drop in that day.
