Set in Erik Schubach’s Urban Fairytales universe, this new story Shadow of the Hook shows Robyn, known to history as Robin Hood, and her mate Amanda, a werewolf, in the world of Neverland. After being dropped there unexpectedly the two must quickly come to terms with what is going on around them, especially with a full moon high in the sky days before it would be there in their regular world. As with all of the stories in his series what you’ve been told about this magical world is anything, but the truth and Robyn and Amanda will learn the truth and find new allies as the final battle to stop the Elders looms ever closer. Strange Waters is currently being Kickstarted by Arledge Comics, which is a publisher that I have showcased on The Nerdy Girl Express a number of times. They provide diverse LGBTQ+ representation in their books, including one of my favorites Alex Priest. This new anthology was previously being made by Haunted Cosmos Press, but was purchased by Arledge Press because they saw a great deal of potential and wanted to help bring this book to life. Boybands create a culture of fandom that appears to be unrivaled in society. With roots that stem back to The Beatles, new bands have appeared and with the rise of social media the involvement fans have has been able to take on a new level of involvement. I Used To Be Normal focuses on four women who connected powerfully with specific boybands during their formative years and how this love has continued on, especially in the case of three women in the documentary.
