What’s On My Pull List from @kleffnotes

As the resident comic book reviewer on The Nerdy Girl Express I thought I would share what is on my pull list at my local comic book store so that people can see what I’m reading. Slab #1 and #2 @DoubleTakeNYC Review from @kleffnotes

Slab is a comic book series from within the Double Take Universe, which is inspired by the world of the well known film Night of the Living Dead. I had previously reviewed the collected issues of Remote and was shocked to find I was actually in possession of Slab #1 and #2. I had gone to my comic book store for a promotional event and somehow managed to misplace the bag containing preview comics. I loved Remote and was delighted to be able to read more from Double Take. Salt @CaliberComics Review from @kleffnotes

Salt is the sequel to Daniel Boyd’s Carbon comic, which was focused on Heat Hatfield and his return to his coal mining hometown of Eden Hallow. At the end of that comic the town had been thrust into a terrifyingly dark and dangerous situation after Eden Energy led to the rise of dangerous beings from underground, while also triggering a massive fire and polluting all of the resources within the vicinity of the mines. With the heat rising the survivors were making their way to Charleston, where they learn the current Commander-in-Chief, a member of the newly created Liberty Party who has taken over command after the death of the president and a number of other high ranking officials, has set up his base of operations.
