Want to Raise a Little Hell with Me?

Every Friday night iZombie Nation hosts a movie rewatch, typically one on Netflix. The movies are normally voted on weekly, but this week was a bit of a catch-up week. Clive Barker’s Hellraiser had been a front runner for a couple of weeks and it finally took the coveted movie pick spot this week. I don’t always get to take part in the rewatches, don’t you hate it when life gets in the way of Netflixing, but this week I was super excited to be involved. An Interview with iZombie Obsessed for the iZombie Obsessed

I had the great pleasure of being able to interview the lovely face behind iZombie Obsessed, Kirsten about what it’s like running a fan account and website. She is not only active on Twitter, @iZombieObsessed, but she has been guesting on all sorts of podcasts and Periscopes recently. She even got followed by Rose McIver this week, yes Liv herself is iZombie Obsessed too. Click the jump to learn more about one of the head zombies of the iZombie fandom. Obscenely Googling Murderers Might Not Be the Best Idea

Obscene googling, a murder high five, magic healing powers, a masturbation reference, a deadly proposition, and that was all before the title sequence. Wednesday’s AHS: Hotel episode, Mommy, jumped right into some crazy murder business. Will Drake might be in danger, but you’ll just have to wait and see. Slaughter at a Sorority Sleepover

It’s time for another Scream Queens Halloween episode recap. Tuesday’s episode Seven Minutes in Hell started right where last week’s ended. We are dropped back into the election with the Kappas voting with a pebble system. The election ends not with a bang, but a bit of a whimper, with Zayday and Chanel tying. According to Three this means that the two must run the sorority together as co-presidents. It turns out that Chanel threw a fit about losing to disguise the fact that she instead rigged the election to ensure that she wouldn’t have a target placed on her back, she pretty much calls herself a mob boss. Her entire plan is called “The Chanel Dies Last Plan,” which is a pretty easy plan to remember. Chanel gives Zayday a storage room key and pretty much hands over the reigns of Kappa leadership to her, making sure she doesn’t look like she’s running Kappa House at all. They’re Made of Wood and They’re Coming to Get You

In keeping with a creepy sort of theme I thought I would write about something that creeps me out more than anything else, ventriloquist dummies. Not all ventriloquist dummies though, just the kind that fit that super stereotypical dummy profile. Here’s a pic of what I mean *shivers as she unleashes evil upon this post* Continue reading “They’re Made of Wood and They’re Coming to Get You”

Scary Things That Happen in the Dark

I’m not sure if this is actually a ghost story, but it is something that happened to me when I was really little and it scared the bejeezus out of me. When I was younger I used to get super excited about the first day of school and the night before I wouldn’t be able to get a wink of sleep. I would just lay in bed waiting for the morning to come thinking about how amazing school would be. When I got older I would just stay up reading until I fell asleep, but when I was super young I at least pretended to sleep when I was supposed to. Yes, I know I’m a huge nerd, but it’s okay I embrace my super nerdiness. Continue reading “Scary Things That Happen in the Dark”

Evil Unleashed in Suburban Town, Will Anyone Survive?

Monsters, ghosts, ghouls, and a ventriloquist dummy with a Napoleon complex, sounds like a lot of villains for one movie, but all of those exist in the Goosebumps movie that came out this weekend. If you read any of the R.L Stine books or watched any of the shows on tv this movie is a big ol’ ball of nostalgia. Reader beware you’re in for some laughs.

Tim Curry, What Are You Doing Here?

I don’t know about the rest of you, but when I was a kid I used to watch the cartoon Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? and some of the other Scooby-Doo tv shows all the time. There was 13 Ghosts and the multiple meets the episodes where Scooby-Doo and the gang would meet up with celebrities or other tv characters. As I got older I used to watch episodes randomly whenever I saw them airing late at night. Over the years they started making new shows and movies, including the live action ones, and to this day I still have few that I watch every October. My favorite is Scooby-Doo and The Witch’s Ghost, which has the ever wonderful Tim Curry in it. Continue reading “Tim Curry, What Are You Doing Here?”

I Ain’t Afraid of No Clowns

I admit I’m way behind in horror movies. I love them, but I used to only really watch vampire themed horror movies or sort of teen witch themed things. What that means for all of you is that I have loads of traditional horror movies to write about. This week I’ve been reading a creepy carnival short story book, it’s called Carniepunk and I love it so far, I’m definitely going to write about it at a later date so keep your eyes peeled, and thought why don’t I give that IT movie a watch. I’m capitalizing both letters just to make sure it actually looks like a title instead of just a typo of the word it. I know people who are terrified of the movie and of Pennywise so I decided this was definitely a lights on sort of watch. Continue reading “I Ain’t Afraid of No Clowns”
