As a fan of Supernatural since its premiere on the now-defunct The WB network (it currently airs on The CW) on September 13, 2005, I’ve looked forward to seeing the story of Winchester brothers Sam and Dean unfold for twelve years. These two brothers have given up their lives for “the family business,” pursuing supernatural evil that threaten the safety and lives of innocents. They’ve battled demons, ghosts, witches and more. Not to mention gods. The later were often egotistical and not above taking human sacrifices (Remember Leshi in the Season 5 episode “Fallen Idols”?)
After an amazing run of newsprint comics in May and June, Alterna Comics starts their July run with the second issue of Croak. This delightfully horrifying comic was something I reviewed a little while back and for your ease of reading I’m linking back to my original review, as well as to my review of the first issue of the comic. The digital version was a wonderful read, but being able to read it in newsprint will add a wonderful element to this story. We have cherished memories of Independence Day celebrations. Some of our favorite CW characters have memories of Independence Day where the fireworks were more explosive and changed their lives forever. Let’s take a look at a few of these.

In my opinion, author John Jakes is the best writer of historical fiction to grace this century.
Supernatural fans were first introduced to actress Shoshannah Stern in the Season 11 episode “Into The Mystic.” Stern portrayed Eileen Leahy, a young deaf woman whose parents were killed by a banshee. This tragedy set Eileen on the course of becoming a hunter. When heroic hunting brothers Sam and Dean Winchester (Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles) found themselves hunting the banshee, they joined forces with Eileen. A kinship was formed between the trio, a bond further cemented by the revelation that like the Winchesters, Eileen was a legacy of the Men of Letters.
