Thoughts on Netflix’s Gypsy from @kleffnotes

If you haven’t noticed based on some of my previous articles, December is a bit of a catch up month for me. Since I typically have a bit more down time between Thanksgiving and Christmas I try and watch as many shows as I can that have been sitting on my list. I had heard a number of things about Gypsy and I finally found myself with the time to watch it. Some of my thoughts here might not be entirely popular, but I thought since the show will only ever have this one season that I would share them. Why I Love Killing Eve from @kleffnotes

I know I am very late to this particular show, but in my defense I managed to miss the first couple of Killing Eve episodes and just could not get my dvr to cooperate. I really did try, it just took a very long time. While I had a bit of a break I found out that the first season was available on Hulu and I jumped right in. Instead of recapping the series I thought I would focus on what personally sucked me into Killing Eve and the connection between Villanelle and Eve. The character of Angel (played by David Boreanaz) first appeared in the Pilot episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. But it wasn’t until Episode 7 titled “Angel” when Buffy (and viewers) learned he was a vampire when the character emerged as a tortured hero. He had a past to atone for based on centuries of killings he committed as a blood thirsty vampire.

Angel was a fantasy television series that aired on The WB 1999-2004 focusing on a vampire cursed by gypsies who restored his soul as punishment for killing a gypsy girl. Seeking redemption for the centuries of murder and mayhem he committed as Angelus, Angel moved to Los Angeles and sought to save people from vampires, demons and other supernatural evil.
