Even If You Don’t Have a Sister, Go See Sisters

Amy Poehler and Tina Fey’s newest comedy Sisters released this past weekend to Star Wars fan filled theaters. While most people are awakening the force I went to the movies to tickle my funny bone. Continue reading “Even If You Don’t Have a Sister, Go See Sisters”

So Many Feels in Sense8

Yes, the title is a bit of a pun, but don’t let that dissuade you. The Netflix original series Sense8 has been on Netflix for a while, but I just got a chance to watch it. I hadn’t expected to finish it this week, but the series sucked me in and I sacrificed sleep because I needed to know what would happen next. She Gets Revenge on AHS: Hotel

The latest episode of American Horror Story Hotel, She Gets Revenge, aired last night. This is one of the few shows not on hiatus that I watch so I was exceptionally excited to be able to watch it this week. This season of AHS has been crazy with murders, psychotic episodes, crazy baby vampires, and the ghosts of the Hotel Cortez’s past. This episode was no exception. Do You Want a Gremlin?

It’s the holiday season and the perfect time to pull out the holiday classic Gremlins. I know a lot of people watch it around Halloween, we even had it on the Halloween rack at the video store, but this movie is definitely for Christmas time watching. The entire movie uses Christmas as the focus, without Christmas Gizmo never would have been gifted in the first place. With that in mind see why I think this movie is perfect for any holiday movie night. Continue reading “Do You Want a Gremlin?”

Why Santa Claus Conquers the Martians Should Be Added to Your Christmas List

If you haven’t heard of the movie Santa Claus Conquers the Martians then you are seriously missing out. This movie made in 1964 is the goofiest holiday movie I have ever seen and I oddly love it. I mean it’s Santa in space, what isn’t great about that. Continue reading “Why Santa Claus Conquers the Martians Should Be Added to Your Christmas List”

It’s Wedding Time at The Cortez

It was the wedding of The Countess on last night’s AHS: Hotel and while most women would prepare for their wedding with partying and revelry, we instead see The Countess alone in a room tearing through memories of her old life. She insists that Will must be only her’s tonight and that there will be no guest from outside the Hotel. With that let’s move on to the rest of the recap. Continue reading “It’s Wedding Time at The Cortez”

It’s Alive, Alive!

A wizard and a mutant walk into a bar and meet a criminal mastermind, okay that’s not actually the plot of Victor Frankenstein, but come on I couldn’t resist the references. The movie Victor Frankenstein stars a pretty impressive cast, three of my favorite actors appear in some pretty major roles, and I was just able to go see it. If you’ve been thinking about seeing this movie or have already seen it, check out my review to see what I thought of this supernatural action drama. Continue reading “It’s Alive, Alive!”
