The Daryl Episode – A TWD Review & Recap

We have all been denied having Daryl on our screens for most of this season and this past week’s episode finally gave us what we craved. While still slower paced than the break neck speed episodes that made up the start of this current season, this episode was much better than last week’s filler. Welcome to the Badlands

Last week we saw the premiere of a new series by AMC called, Into the Badlands. They had been highly publicizing this show for months now and I have to admit I was intrigued. It is a drama/action show centered on martial arts. I’m always a sucker for both things, so I knew I had to give this show a shot. First though let’s take a look at the beginning and who makes up this show and then we’ll see how it all came together and my thoughts on it. Continue reading “Welcome to the Badlands”

I haven’t written about the show How to Get Away with Murder much, I wrote a post about my reactions to episodes from season one over on my blog, but that was a while ago. My sister and I binged the first season together about the time that season two started and we’ve been watching the second season about a week behind the air dates. My sister has to watch on the ABC website and episodes don’t get unlocked until a week after they air on telelvision, but this week we cheated and watched the last two episodes on our dvr. If you haven’t watched the finale episode before the winter break DO NOT READ THE REST OF THIS UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE SPOILERED!! Continue reading “WTF HTGAWM!?!?”

Let’s Share a Ghost Story with the Girls of Kappa House

Last night’s episode of Scream Queens was titled Ghost Stories. It should come as no surprise that ghosts and scary stories were the focus of this episode. Maybe don’t read this if you want to use the bathroom without being freaked out ever again. Though, who doesn’t like being scared, go ahead, keep reading, but definitely keep the lights on for this recap. Continue reading “Let’s Share a Ghost Story with the Girls of Kappa House”

Have You Heard About Night Vale?

One of my favorite things to listen to is the podcast, Welcome to Night Vale. If you haven’t heard of it you are definitely missing out on something great. Not only is it a podcast, but they do live shows and have just recently published a book. With the weather getting colder now seems like a great time to bundle up and listen to this great series. Victor Frankenstein – A Movie Preview

“It’s alive!” is the most famous line of one of the most famous tales of all time, Frankenstein. The original novel penned by Mary Shelley has been a classic since its 1818 publication. It is one of the first, if not actual first science fiction novels ever written and has inspired the horror genre for centuries. Continue reading “Victor Frankenstein – A Movie Preview”

Have You Met The Man From Uncle?

Tuesday, November 17th, Guy Ritchie’s The Man from U.N.C.L.E. will be out on dvd and blu-ray. This reboot of the original television series of the same name shows us Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer teamed up as part of a CIA/KGB operation to stop a nuclear bomb from being created. These men are also expected to bring back the plans for their respective agencies. Now that sort of plot sounds like something you’d expect in a Soviet Era spy movie, but there is so much more going on that makes this exciting and new.

A Belated Trip to Camp Crystal Lake

Yesterday was Friday the 13th and I had planned to watch and write about the original Friday the 13th movie, but things got a bit crazy and I wound up not being able to rewatch the movie until after midnight. Even though I missed out on watching the movie on the right date I still really wanted to write about it. Want to know what I think is the most dangerous part of Camp Crystal Lake?
