On February 2, the world welcomed a rare talent with the birth of Eden Espinosa. She has the voice of an angel. Whether seeing her on stage or on television, Eden offers a magical experience. Espinosa has a special spark that shines through every performance.
She bewitched audiences as Elphaba in Wicked and continued to dazzle throughout her career. Her stage presence is mesmerizing.
But theater isn’t the only place Eden Espinosa has shined. She’s a recording artist with a few albums Look Around and Revelation. I’d suggest listening to these for musical food for the ears.
In 2017, Espinosa captivated a whole new audience when she used her vocal talents for the character of Cassandra in Tangled: Before Ever After, Tangled: The Series and Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure developed by Chris Sonnenburg and Shane Prigmore. The television movie and series were produced by Disney Television Animation and continued the story of Rapunzel from the 2010 feature film Tangled.
Eden Espinosa sang Waiting In The Wings in the Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure episode Rapunzel and The Great Tree. With music and lyrics by the award winning team of Alan Menken and Glenn Slater, Waiting In The Wings was nominated and won a 2020 Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Original Song in a Children’s, Young Adult or Animated Program.
In June 2020, Espinosa co-founder along with Karen Olivo AFECT, an organization for the benefit of artists, consumers of art, and stakeholders of the live theatre industry.
So on this your birthday Eden, I offer my sincere thanks for sharing your gift. Hope you enjoy celebrating your special day!
