Catching Up With Author Traci Sanders via @tdmiller820917 #amwriting @tmsanders2014

One of the features that makes a novel so engaging is when the author crafts rich characters. As a reader, it is intriguing peeling back the layers and uncovering the different facets. The same holds true for an interview: Interviewees who have many layers to explore excite both the interviewer and those reading the interview. Traci Sanders certainly fulfills this requirement. Sanders is not only an award-winning novelist, but her name is also synonymous with a wealth of child development books. If that isn’t enough to provide creative inspiration, Sanders has penned several books offering tips on writing, publishing and marketing. In addition, she is the founder of Readers Review Room, an invaluable resource for readers seeking a variety of books to savor and review as well as for authors who desire honest reviews of their work. I recently had the pleasure of interviewing Traci Sanders. Read what she had to say below.

1984 in the 21st Century An Anthology of Essays Book Review ( @riverdaleavenue ) from @kleffnotes

When I was a junior in high school I read George Orwell’s 1984 for the very first time and fell in love. The book has remained one of my favorite reads and I have reread it a number of times since then once even for a very interestingly named grad school course called History of the Future. 1984 in the 21st Century An Anthology of Essays contains writings by those who share my love of this dystopian novel and who see connections between the fictional work and more modern day events. While the text does discuss the current presidency there are also mentions of the Obama Administration as well as various events throughout history. Flatline By: Meagan Spears Book Review from @erinwise82

Let me say from the very beginning, this is not my type of book. I am more of the sci-fi/fantasy type of reader. After many hardships and losses of my own, those things are the last things I want to read about. However, when a writer reaches out and shows you what they’ve accomplished, you get out of your comfort zone and check it out.

Book Review- A Drakenfall Christmas by @GeralynCorcillo via @tdmiller820917

It’s the holiday season and love is in the air at Drakenfall, but so is the lingering aroma of secrets and suspicion. In this wonderful sequel to Upstairs, Downstairs…and The Lift in Between, A Novella (Drakenfall Book 1), acclaimed and best selling author Geralyn Corcillo weaves a tale around several of the characters we first met in Drakenfall Book 1. Of course, Mark and Maisy are back. Yet, what Corcillo does with A Drakenfall Christmas is to expand on the beloved staff members at Drakenfall in a way that is both intriguing and refreshing.

Hollywood Lesbians: From Garbo to Foster by Boze Hadleigh Review from @kleffnotes

Boze Hadleigh’s Hollywood Lesbians: From Garbo to Foster, the no holds barred companion to his classic Hollywood Gays, is an interesting examination of the history of Hollywood, with a specific focus on women connected to the LGBTQ+ community. His work opens the closet door and examines just what has been hidden inside the often secretive world of celebrity that surrounds the entertainment industry. Hollywood Lesbians blends interviews with narrative discussions of women who were seen as outside of the heterosexual norm they were expected to uphold in order to preserve their careers. Interview With The Black Ledger author @TheDGAllen via @tdmiller820917

D.G. Allen’s debut novel The Black Ledger is a powerful book that crosses multiple genres. On the surface, the book appears to be a crime thriller. Allen masterfully handles the crime elements through descriptive writing, realistic dialogue, foreshadowing and suspense hooks. Yet, he also goes a step further with themes of racism, adversity and love interwoven throughout the narrative. I recently had the pleasure of interviewing D.G. Allen. He talked about his incredible writing journey in interpreting his real life experiences and turning them into The Black Ledger.  Read what he had to say below.
