As the resident comic book reviewer on The Nerdy Girl Express it probably comes as no surprise that one of my favorite things is comic books. This love of comics led me to check out Comic Book Men on AMC one day while doing one of my almost daily scrolls through Netflix. @PreacherAMC Recap: El Valero from @kleffnotes

When this episode opened I thought it was a cold day in Hell, but nope it was just a Quincannon family vacation in Vail. Odin skipped out and his family fell to their deaths, but these deaths drove him into madness. His family was shipped to him and he ripped open the boxes and compared their insides to the insides of a cow. When he saw no difference he called the preacher, Jesse’s father, and told him that there was no soul within either one and insisted that he go into his church and denounce God right away. This week’s episode of Preacher opened with a return to Ratwater, you know that place in 1881 with all the dead bodies and the lone cowboy. He’s made the long journey for some sort of medication, but while he wants to leave as soon as possible, the pharmacist insists he needs to wait until morning. @PreacherAMC Recap: Monster Swamp from @kleffnotes

The opening of last night’s Preacher was something straight out of a horror movie. An empty bus roving the streets, a man passed out on the sidewalk, a mascot wandering around, streetlights popping, and a girl fleeing for her life. Oh yeah and it’s not just one girl, we see there are even more trying to escape from armed men. But, hey not everything is as it appears.
