The Meaning of Blood Book Review from @kleffnotes

The Meaning of Blood and Other Tales of Perversity by Chuck Caruso is a horror anthology from Cloud Lodge Books. This collection has a strong Southern feel too it, with some of the stories expressly using characters who speak in very specific drawls or who happen to have nicknames that fit within the paradigm of a Southern setting. Each of the stories draws on elements of the horror genre and creates vignettes of mayhem and destruction for the reader. I will note that the image being used as the header for this article is not the book cover. At the time of review no book cover was available for use. The Sky Woman Book Review from @kleffnotes

Car-En has been sent to Earth for the first time in order to observe and report back on how a small population is surviving. Now you might think that she is some sort of alien upon first reading the description of The Sky Woman, but she is just as much an Earthling as the people she is watching. Car-En is an anthropologist from the sky, who has been raised in a ringstation. These satellite living systems are full of people who left Earth following a number of depopulations, in which the Earth slowly became less and less populated. While it had been thought that no one lived on the Earth small groups have been found and Car-En has been tasked with watching a Viking-like village. What happens when she breaks protocol will reveal some new and interesting things about the world she knew and the world she is investigating. Dark & Fetish Art Book Review from @kleffnotes

I want to begin this review by saying that this particular book is for mature readers only. If I had to rate this book the way that we rate movies I would have to give it a very solid R. Now that is not to say that Dark & Fetish Art is not an artfully done book, it is full of beautifully created and composed images, but it is very definitely something that only those 18 and over should read and you should not bring this book along to work unless you happen to work in a very relaxed environment. Dark & Fetish Art is a book that brings together darker artistic elements for those who are comfortable delving into the more macabre and sensual.
