@ClexaCon Countdown: @tellofilms Highlight from @kleffnotes

Last week I focused on the sponsors of ClexaCon, but I intentionally did not discuss Tello Films so that I could focus a bit more on this specific sponsor. While LGBT+ representation has been slowly growing in television and in movies, there is still so much work to be done to improve and increase the amount of characters we see who identify as part of the community. Tello Films has been working hard since their creation in 2007 with a focus on lesbian and queer characters and they refuse to allow any programming to end with the death of a lesbian character. I wanted to highlight some of their series for those of you who may not be as familiar with their programming as we get closer to convention time. With ClexaCon getting closer and closer I wanted to highlight some of the groups that are making the convention possible. For 2018 they have a number of partners who are working with them to bring some great LGBT+ content to fans. I will explain each of the partners and will share some brief elements for those I interacted with at previous conventions. @ClexaCon Countdown: Hello #Hollstein! from @kleffnotes

Are you ready for Hollstein?! This year Natasha Negovanlis and Elise Bauman are returning for a Hollstein panel, moderated by Dana Piccoli, and my hopes are super high. Last year’s panel involved both actors presenting female/female scenes that Dana had picked and they were just so amazing. They were so willing to fully embrace the scenes and I am very sure that there will be more fun moments this year. Continue reading “@ClexaCon Countdown: Hello #Hollstein! from @kleffnotes”

@ClexaCon Countdown: Lost Girl and #Doccubus Excitement from @kleffnotes

The unaligned succubus is coming! ClexaCon is again holding a Lost Girl panel and the big news for me this year connected to this specific panel was that Anna Silk will be attending this year. I loved last year’s panel with Zoie Palmer, Rachel Skarsten, and Emily Andras and I am just over the moon that Anna Silk will be joining them. There is so much about Bo that I want to know and to be able to see all of these women together on stage, with Dana Piccoli as a moderator, is something I cannot wait to see. @ClexaCon Countdown: #Wayhaught Wonderment from @kleffnotes

Waverly Earp and Nicole Haught are two of my absolute favorite queer characters on tv right now. When I began watching Wynonna Earp during season one I will admit I was a bit late to the party. I did not start watching the show until the midway point of the season and wound up sitting and watching all of the episodes on my dvr in the span of two days. I was hooked on the show and I knew that I needed to keep watching. There was something so wonderful about the stories being presented and the plethora of female characters that I could relate to in this demon filled world. @ClexaCon Countdown: @OneDayAtATime and Connecting to Elena from @kleffnotes

Just 9 weeks to go until ClexaCon! For the new 2018 lineup they announced that there would be a panel devoted to One Day At A Time including Isabella Gomez, the actress who plays Elena, and executive producers/co-showrunners Gloria Calderon Kellett and Mike Royce. I was delighted to hear that this show would be represented at the convention because of how this show impacted my own life. @ClexaCon Countdown: Prepping and Packing from @kleffnotes

It is 10 weeks until ClexaCon and with April 5th getting closer and closer I wanted to share some of my personal traveling and con trips, which I found very useful when I attended ClexaCon last year. Some people I am sure have already shared some of these tips, but if this is your first time at ClexaCon or if you are returning hearing things a couple times can be useful.
