With lyrics by Glenn Slater and sung by Eden Espinosa, “Waiting In The Wings” is one of the 24 songs included on Tangled: The Series and Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure soundtracks. In addition to Espinosa, the soundtracks feature songs performed by Mandy Moore, Zachary Levi, Jeremy Jordan and James Iglehart and should be on every Disney fan’s playlist.

Dollhouse: The Eradication of Female Subjectivity From American Popular Culture releases in the U.S. this August after already having been launched for international sales after the 2020 online Cannes Festival. While the idea of stylized puppets may not lead you to think this is a piece that will be educational, it uses the humorous presentation to present viewers with the truth of fame and society’s views of women. Taskmaster is a British comedy panel game show originally created by British comedian Alex Horne during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2010, and adapted for television in 2015. New episodes premiered on Dave from 2015 until 2019, when the series was acquired by Channel 4. The TV series stars comedian and actor Greg Davies in the title role of the Taskmaster, issuing simple comedic and bizarre tasks to five regular contestants – usually comedians – with Alex Horne acting as Davies’s assistant and as umpire during the challenges (Wikipedia).

Two top chefs are pitted against one another with a challenge to create extraordinary meals using only the ingredients taken from the fridges of ordinary families. Host Emma Hunter visits a family’s home and conducts a surprise fridge raid. Then everything is taken back to the studio where the family’s fridge is re-created for both chefs. Once the clock starts, the chefs have 45 minutes to get dinner on the table — cooking with ingredients they’ve never seen for people they’ve never met. When the time’s up, the family members take their place at the dining room table and taste each meal, scoring them on look, taste and originality — without knowing who cooked what. Those results are put aside and the same process is done for another family, but with an added challenge that forces both chefs to adapt to a totally unique culinary crisis. With both families’ scores tabulated, the final scene reveals the winner of the “Fridge Wars” battle (Wikipedia).

Through short stories and one novella he is able to examine failed relationships and the fallout that comes out of them. One of the most common themes is the ideal of masculinity causing issues due to a toxic or misguided person.
