After taking the mystical mollusk, though that isn’t the official name for the strange hallucinogenic octopus that Hans and his crew on the Runaway Horse managed to steal in Scrimshaw #1, they are being hunted by Danny Yuda. In this second issue we learn how the crew survives on the open sea and just some of the work they do to survive. We also get a glimpse at the dark past of the dangerous Yuda. In the unforgiving isolation of Wolf Country there is a settlement full of zealous followers of an ancient religion. Every full moon the settlers fight against a vicious onslaught of wolves to maintain their control over what they consider sacred land. These settlers though are not as they may first appear, they are vampires who believe that by protecting this land from the hated wolves they are fulfilling the contract made between them and their god. Slab #1 and #2 @DoubleTakeNYC Review from @kleffnotes

Slab is a comic book series from within the Double Take Universe, which is inspired by the world of the well known film Night of the Living Dead. I had previously reviewed the collected issues of Remote and was shocked to find I was actually in possession of Slab #1 and #2. I had gone to my comic book store for a promotional event and somehow managed to misplace the bag containing preview comics. I loved Remote and was delighted to be able to read more from Double Take.
