Fangirl Freakouts: #Batwoman Rebirth ( @DCComics ) from @kleffnotes

This week DC Comics released Batwoman Rebirth to kick off the upcoming Batwoman solo series. I have been ridiculously excited about this moment for months and with each new issue of Detective Comics I was getting more and more freaked out. To celebrate I decided to focus this week’s Fangirl Freakouts on Batwoman and her Rebirth. Continue reading “Fangirl Freakouts: #Batwoman Rebirth ( @DCComics ) from @kleffnotes”

@NBCPowerless “Wayne Dream Team” Reactions from @kleffnotes

Wayne Security has a brand new project that Emily has guaranteed will be done by the end of the week, but her team has other ideas. It’s Superhero Fantasy League time and everyone else wants to get their teams figured out. In an attempt to get them more focused Emily makes an almost villainous decision. Highlighting Harley Quinn in @DCComics from @kleffnotes

My weekly pull list at my local comic book store, Alter Ego Comics, is full of DC Comics and there is one character who dominates the storylines. I hadn’t actually noticed that Harley Quinn appeared in so many of the comics I read every week until recently. When the Justice League and Suicide Squad crossover happened the amount of Harley in my pulls was remarkable. She was in almost every comic that I was taking home. Each of these Harley’s have their own personalities and I wanted to spend a little bit of time talking about each of them. Continue reading “Highlighting Harley Quinn in @DCComics from @kleffnotes”

@NBCPowerless “Wayne or Lose” Reactions from @kleffnotes

NBC debuted Powerless, the comic book inspired series where superheroes aren’t the main characters last week. Emily Locke, played by Vanessa Hudgens, has just gotten a new job in Charm City as the head of research and development at Wayne Security. After living in what is known as a fly over state, superheroes never landed there, she decided that she wanted to move to a place where she could find a way to more directly help those impacted by superheroes. On her first day Emily finds herself taking on way more responsibility than she ever planned when the Wayne in charge, Van, gets a promotion. The Justice League vs Suicide Squad DC Rebirth Crossover event came to an end this week and I wanted to share some of my reactions to this massive meeting of heroes and villains. Batwoman Updates from @DCComics from @kleffnotes

This week DC Comics released new information about the upcoming Batwoman solo comic series. Batwoman has emerged as one of my absolute favorite new DC characters ever since I read details about her in Sam Maggs’ The Fangirl’s Guide to the Galaxy. I have been devouring the comics that involve Batwoman ever since that moment. Though she currently doesn’t have a solo comic you can find Kate Kane within Detective Comics, working with Batman to train a team to help protect the city of Gotham. With this series on my pull list I have been keeping up to date with my favorite character and I have been eagerly awaiting any updates about her solo series. What’s On My Pull List from @kleffnotes

As the resident comic book reviewer on The Nerdy Girl Express I thought I would share what is on my pull list at my local comic book store so that people can see what I’m reading. I will say in advance that it is pretty DC heavy, what can I say I love Batman and the characters from his universe. I’ll link each title so that you can check out more about each series and get details on their release schedules. Also shout out to Alter Ego Comics in Lima, Ohio, whose logo I used for this article header and where I get all my pulls. Continue reading “What’s On My Pull List from @kleffnotes”

Why I Love Batwoman from @kleffnotes ( @DCComics )

I have loved Batman ever since I was a little kid. I have very clear memories of my face practically smashed against the tv set watching Batman: The Animated Series every afternoon on Cartoon Network. This love of Batman continued on as I got older and started watching Batman Beyond, all of the Batman movies, and began my journey into comic books. I would read random Batman comics, but it wasn’t until recently that I actually began really delving into the Batman comics universe. Wild @OriginalFunko Pop Speculation for @FunkoDCLegion Women of DC Box from @kleffnotes

We at The Nerdy Girl Express love Funko and we especially love their Pops. When Funko announced that the upcoming Legion of Collectors box, Women of DC, would have a never before made Pop character we went a little crazy. If this character has never been a Funko Pop before, who could she be? Continue reading “Wild @OriginalFunko Pop Speculation for @FunkoDCLegion Women of DC Box from @kleffnotes”
