Day Two of QueerX is just as packed full of great experiences as the first day. During the Revry Summer Preview guests can experience the World Premiere of Laura Linney’s Sink Sank Sunk. This documentary style series that focuses on a young gay recluse who decides to complete his mother’s passion project, a documentary about her multi-generational synchronized swimming team. GLAAD Rising Star Grant recipient River Gallo will also be screening his feature PonyBoi, which was created and stars the first out intersex person in the history of cinema. American Yakuza Book Review ( @SapphireBooks ) from @kleffnotes

American Yakuza is the first novel in a series focused on Luce Potter, who happens to be not just a high powered corporate woman, but also the new leader of the Yakuza. Though her grandfather is still alive he has chosen to pass on his title of Oyabun. In this role she must make life and death decisions that impact an entire organization, while also maintaining her image has a legal business owner. Brooke Erickson was an investigative journalist who now works at a financial magazine, but when her editor decides she is the best fit for an article about Luce that she finds herself drawn into a web she thought she had escaped from when she returned to the states. QueerX Day One Feature ( @REVRYTV )from @kleffnotes

The 4th annual QueerX  kicked off last night at Whisky A Go Go with the headliner, Brooke Candy and her RuPau’s Drag Race alumni backup dancers, Laganja Estranja and Gia Gunn, with Jordy and Davy Boi, as well as some other surprise guests. The queer music, film, and industry festival continues today and tomorrow at The London Hotel West Hollywood with competition screenings, panels, and the Revry Summer Preview. For those attending as well as those who wish they were I will be highlighting some of the projects that will be screening each day of the two day event. Fur and Fangs Book Review ( @RaeDMagdon @DesertPalmPress ) from @kleffnotes

Riley is a people watcher and that desire to see lots of interesting passersby was one of the reasons she felt drawn to New York City. The hustle and bustle is not just your average collection of locals and tourists, but is rather a hodgepodge of humans and supernatural creatures, one of whom is Riley. That’s right Riley is a werewolf and one morning on her way to work she catches sight of a vampire that takes her breath away, Izzy. After hemming and hawing for a couple days she finally works up the courage to approach this vibrant vampire and sparks start to fly from the start in Fur and Fangs.
