Reviewing the Work of the#LASlasher

I honestly had never heard of the movie L.A. Slasher until I saw it at work, video stores can be very useful for finding random things you never knew you wanted to see. The movie revolves around social media, mostly Twitter, and on people obsessed with fame. My review has all the details, don’t worry I won’t spoil it for you. Victor Frankenstein – A Movie Preview

“It’s alive!” is the most famous line of one of the most famous tales of all time, Frankenstein. The original novel penned by Mary Shelley has been a classic since its 1818 publication. It is one of the first, if not actual first science fiction novels ever written and has inspired the horror genre for centuries. Continue reading “Victor Frankenstein – A Movie Preview”

They’re Here…Finally

This was just a week for movie watching at my house. It’s really easy to do when you work at a video store and have a hard time falling asleep before 4 am, which is only good when you are working night shifts. Not the best plan when you have to function like a normal human being for an opener shift. This week I rented a bunch of random movies, mostly horror, and tried to watch one a night. Our copy of the original Poltergeist finally came in and I jumped on it. I’d never seen the movie and boy was I in for a surprise. Continue reading “They’re Here…Finally”

Want to Raise a Little Hell with Me?

Every Friday night iZombie Nation hosts a movie rewatch, typically one on Netflix. The movies are normally voted on weekly, but this week was a bit of a catch-up week. Clive Barker’s Hellraiser had been a front runner for a couple of weeks and it finally took the coveted movie pick spot this week. I don’t always get to take part in the rewatches, don’t you hate it when life gets in the way of Netflixing, but this week I was super excited to be involved. 50 Scary Halloween Movies You Must See

I have always enjoyed Halloween. All the decorations, costumes, candy, haunted houses and corn mazes were and still are thrilling. Sometimes though I need a little help to get in that Halloween spirit, or maybe I just want a good scare and that’s where scary movies come in to this. I thought at first that I’d just share a few of my favorites, then I thought there were more great movies out there so perhaps a top ten or fifteen list. I compiled my movies, added in ones I had forgotten and now my ghoulish friends I can tell you that this list has reached FIFTY epic Halloween movies that range over fifty years of cinema making. None of these are remakes unless there was an original made before 1960 or from an television show and I also did not include any sequels. I have ordered them in four categories: Fun, Halloween themed, Classics, and Scary. I guarantee they’ll all make you enjoy All Hallows Eve a little bit more.
