#ClexaCon Articles to Come from @kleffnotes

This weekend, April 16th to the 18th, was virtual ClexaCon 2021. I admittedly had not initially planned to take part in the convention, primarily because I haven’t taken part in any virtual conventions and my weekend schedules have been pretty packed. I was super excited when by surprise I was offered a press pass to the convention for all three days and had planned to be very involved. That didn’t exactly happen, but I do have plans.

And Then We Screamed Gay Fred in Excitement from @kleffnotes

Krista has been introducing me to a number of legal shows and we recently got caught up on All Rise. Now we are stuck waiting for weekly episodes and this week a new episode dropped that did not disappoint. For those who don’t know, All Rise is a series focused primarily on Judge Lola Carmichael who has recently been made a judge in Los Angeles. In the second season they have had to adapt like most shows to Covid restrictions and the actor who plays Lola, Simone Missick is frequently shown through screens or away from the rest of the cast. This most recent episode is odd because she doesn’t appear at all. They don’t explain why, but since she is not present this allows for a focus on a different judge, Lisa Benner.

Sparo Rising: Blade of Wexbury Book Review from @kleffnotes

If you haven’t read any of my previous Techromancy Scrolls reviews I definitely urge you to go check those our before you delve into this one. That series just ended, but while the base story may be done Erik Schubach is now devoting some time to adding some more details to characters that were not as central to the original plot. The Sparo Rising series is a spinoff focused on a side character in a standalone story. You wouldn’t need to read the original series to understand this new series, but I highly recommend it.

Techromancy Scrolls: Colossus Book Review from @kleffnotes

The final book in the Techromancy Scrolls series is out and as someone who has loved this series, I am sad to see it end. I though know there is still hope, there is more to come after this series, but I will hold it in and save all my emotions for the detailed portion of the Techromancy Scrolls: Colossus review.

My Love: An LGBTQ+ Short Review from @kleffnotes

From the writer of the fantastic sci-fi series, Passage, Hillary Esquina recently debuted a Valentine’s Day short. My Love stars Mandahla Rose (BIFL, All About E) and Sarah Durham (Marry Christmas) as Kay and Rose. Directed by Christie Conochalla (Forever Not Maybe) and Jessica Harcourt this short falls in under the five minute mark, but even though it may be short it is full of romance.
