Week In Review 8/6-8/10/18 on #GeneralHospital via @stacyamiller85 @GeneralHospital #GH #GH55

A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

Sam (Kelly Monaco) met with Jason (Steve Burton) on the pier and he told her he had another favor to ask. Monica (Leslie Charleston) questioned Drew (Billy Miller) about an anonymous donation made to the hospital in the name of Michael’s son Jonah. Julian (William deVry) met with Ava (Maura West) at Kelly’s and commented on how she clutched her purse for dear life. Nelle (Chloe Lanier) told Jordan (Vinessa Antoine) that if she had enough to convict her she wouldn’t be at the PCPD answering questions. Sonny (Maurice Benard) took a call from Max and learned about Josslyn’s (Eden McCoy) fight with Nelle. Carly (Laura Wright) told Sonny she couldn’t be away from her family for three months or longer in Canada as Josslyn and Michael needed her. Drew admitted to making the donation to the hospital. Ava showed Julian the baby blanket and asked him to go to the Quartermaines and sneak it into the nursery without no one noticing. Although Julian didn’t want to risk arrest, he agreed and managed to put the blanket back in a drawer in the baby’s room. Brad (Parry Shen) looked on uncomfortably as Michael (Chad Duell) held Wiley, unaware he was actually holding his own son. Sam urged Jason to find another way to help Carly because she and Danny needed him.  Jordan told Nelle to do the right thing for once in her life and tell the truth, but Nelle asked what was in it for her. The commissioner played the recording in which Nelle admitted to her crimes. Nelle reminded that she was coerced and would have said anything because she thought she was going to die. But how would she have known the car was going to crash unless she arranged for it to happen? Jordan said, adding they would use Nelle’s own words to convict her. Jason showed Carly the ECT authorization form she suppose to have signed.  He told Carly and Sonny he had a plan and if it worked they wouldn’t have to go to Canada. Margaux (Elizabeth Hendrickson) told Drew to get over himself when he let her know he wasn’t looking for a relationship. She told him he wasn’t the only one not interested and if she were she wouldn’t need his friend Curtis (Donnell Turner) to play matchmaker. Ava and Julian met the baby they thought was Wiley when Brad and Lucas arrived at Kelly’s. In the baby’s nursery, Monica assured Michael that although it would take a long time, he’d survive the death of his son. After Sam arrived and as they packed up the nursery, Michael found the baby blanket in the drawer where Julian put it.  Jason met with Margaux on the pier. Sonny came to the PCPD to ask Jordan what he could expect if Carly turned herself in. Sonny threatened to go to the press unless he could give a statement about the horrendous conditions at Ferncliff and how they had forged his wife signature on a consent form fro treatment against her will. To Nelle’s surprise, Carly entered the interrogation room at the PCPD. “Hello Nelle, long time no see,” Carly said with a smirk.

Tuesday

Alexis (Nancy Grahan) and Kiki (Hayley Erin) talked about the obscene phone calls they’ve been receiving. Jason (Steve Buron) met with Margaux (Elizabeth Hendrickson) on the docks and told her “I have something you need to see.” Michael (Chad Duell) found the baby blanket in the drawer. He and Sam (Kelly Monaco) realized someone brought the blanket back and that person was probably working with Nelle (Chloe Lanier). Sam urged Michael to take the blanket to the police station. Chase (Josh Swickward) apologized to Sonny (Maurice Benard) for his plan costing the life of his (Sonny) grand child. Carly (Laura Wright) strolled into the interrogation room of the PCPD and taunted Nelle by saying “I win.” Continuing, Carly reminded Nelle that because of all the people in her life who love her, she was able to escape Nelle’s set up; she had Sonny, Bobbie, Michael, Josslyn and Jason whereas Nelle had no one because she’s unworthy of love. Jason showed Margaux the forged consent form and urged her to do the right thing. She reminded that them meeting and talking was the same as him turning himself in. Jason said he was okay with that. Griffin finally said the three words Ava (Maura West) had been longing to hear: I love you. Griffin told Ava he had something to tell her, but she asked him to wait until after the trial and then she could concentrate on them. When Scott (Kin Shriner) suggested Dr. Bensch (James DePaiva) consider settling, Bensch reminded that the odds were in his favor and questioned why Baldwin was so eager to settle. Scott assured he would do the best of his ability to win the case. Carly said that messing with Josslyn was a cruel thing for Nelle to do as it was difficult enough being a teenager. Nelle hinted that there was something Carly didn’t know. But Carly told Nelle she didn’t care because after today, Nelle was nothing to her. Jason and Margaux arrived at the PCPD where the D.A. learned that Diane was able to convince Judge Horwitz to vacate Carly’s sentence. Chase urged Margaux to admit she was wrong, cut her losses and clean up her mess. Margaux announced that she’d go to the judge and recommend Carly’s release. Then, Michael entered with the baby blanket, which caused Nelle to freak out when she saw it. Before she was taken away, Michael told Nelle that for the sake of their child’s memory, he would put in a good word to help make sure she didn’t receive the maximum sentence. When Carly and Jason were taken into custody, she joked that maybe they’d get to share adjoining cells.

Wednesday

In the courtroom, Alexis (Nancy Grahan) rehearsed her opening statement when Julian (William deVry) entered. Kiki came to her mother’s apartment and Ava (Maura West) helped her choose the right outfit for the trial and encouraged her to take the power back from Bensch. Scott (Kin Shriner) warned Franco (Roger Hogwarth) that some ugly surprises may come out during Kiki’s trial. At The Metro Court, Maxie (Kristen Storms) and Nina (Michelle Stafford) talked about Crimson when Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) appeared. Valentin told Nina he had the stables repaired with any trace of what happened there erased. Later, Valentin took a call about visiting a mysterious prisoner. An annoyed Peter (Wes Ramsey) told Robert (Tristan Rogers) how his colleagues at the WSB were in his hospital room questioning him all night and left less than satisfied. Robert said that if Peter gives him the information he wanted, he’d consider granting him his freedom. Peter told Robert about the other patients but didn’t know what the end game was. Although Robert accused Peter of stalling, he’d decided not to send him off to super max. Instead he offered him a deal: Peter was to make himself available if or when the WSB needed him for an assignment and give his full cooperation. As charges could be refiled at any time, Robert warned August he’d better not give Anna or Robin any grief in the future. Robert also told Peter that as the WSB had frozen Faison’s assets, August was penniless. Even though Robert dropped the charges, gaining his freedom wasn’t guaranteed when Margaux (Elizabeth Hendrickson) entered to discuss the state’s charges. D.A. Dawson told Peter that she although she wouldn’t pursue the fraud charges and couldn’t get him on attempted murder without Anna Devane’s testimony, she intended to get him on identity theft for his part in Drew’s (Billy Miller) stolen memories.  Finn (Michael Easton) demanded proof from her captor that Anna (Finola Hughes) was still alive. We finally saw Anna. First, Finn was shown a picture of her and then she was brought to him with the warning that if their patient died so did she. Scott told Franco about Kiki and Griffin (Matt Cohen) sleeping together and suggested Franco warn Alexis so she can do damage control if testimony came out about Kiki and Griffin. Anna learned about Robert’s rescue plan and feared Scorpio would mess things up. Since Drew decided not to press charges, Peter was free to go. He ran into Maxie and Nina and asked to see baby James. Nina asked Peter whether he would be leaving town. Peter decided since Port Charles was the closest place he ever had to a home, he’s would stay. Anna removed the tracker from Finn’s hand so Robert lost the signal. At the courthouse, Franco told Alexis he had to talk with her.

Thursday

Carly (Laura Wright) was so happy to be back home.  It didn’t even bother her when she had to spend the night in lockup. As hers and Jason’s (Steve Burton) cells were near each other, Carly told Sonny (Steve Burton) that they talked all night. When Mike (Max Gail) entered from the patio, Carly and Sonny first thought he didn’t recognize her. But soon he told a caregiver that the man was off the clock because he (Mike) wanted to spend time with his daughter-in-law. Mike then asked Carly where she was keeping herself, his Alzheimer’s causing him to forget about her stint in Ferncliff. Curtis (Donnell Turner) asked Jordan (Vinessa Antoine) to meet him at The Metro Court. Despite her busy case load, Jordan took the time to spend the evening in bed with Curtis. Franco (Roger Hogwarth) tried to warn Alexis (Nancy Grahan) about Kiki (Hayley Erin) and Griffin (Matt Cohen) sleeping together but doesn’t have a chance before the trial begins. In her opening statement, Alexis talked about Dr. Bensch’s (James DePaiva) being a respected physician but also a sexual predator while all Scott (Kin Shriner) said was that his client was innocent. Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) testified about the shadow program and when Kiki was upset about getting a bad performance review and admitting Dr. Bensch was harassing her, Epiphany (Sonya Eddy) testified about scheduling Kiki’s rotation with Dr. Bensch, Francesca (Celesta DeAstis) testified about sleeping with Dr.Bensch because she was scared of losing her career, and Ava (Maura West) talked about when Bensch came to her art gallery and warned her that Kiki was risking her career because of burn out. Carly and Sonny took Mike to General Hospital when he fell town. Later, Mike told Stella (Vernee Watson) that he wasn’t the same Mike. Jordan confronted Stella when she (Jordan) saw a missed call from Chandra on Curtis’ cell phone. Franco pulled Griffin (Matt Cohen) aside and hinted that he knew Dr. Munro’s secret. Kiki testified about the photo of she and Griffin hugging when Scott questioned her about it. When Alexis called Griffin to the stand to elaborate on the nature of the photo, Scott frantically texted Franco to tell her to stop the questioning. Unfortunately, Ava had texted Franco at the same time to ask What’s going on? so Franco replied back with the text meant for Alexis to Ava with the message Kiki and Griffin Had Sex!

Friday

Chase (Josh Swickward) came to the interrogation room and offered Jason (Steve Burton) a cup of coffee. He assured he had no intention of playing good cop to get Jason to crack because some of the senior officers warned that was impossible. Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) talked with an orderly about lowering the medication dosage of the “special patient” and said he would be back later for a long overdue talk with the patient. Chase told Jason that the D.A. decided not to pursue Peter August (Wes Ramsey) for fraud and questioned Morgan about how he doesn’t want justice for August taking five years of his life. Then, Chase reminded that breaking Carly (Laura Wright) out of Ferncliff and threatening staff with a gun were major felonies and that he (Chase) didn’t know how Jason could get on with his life with the heavy charges facing him. Carly thought Sonny (Maurice Benard) needed to consider long term care for Mike (Max Gail). She commented how worn out Sonny seemed. He reminded that with everything he’s been dealing with, if he looked tired it was because he was. Margaux (Elizabeth Hendrickson) met Oscar (Garren Stitt) while she was with Drew (Billy Miller) at The Metro Court. After she left, Oscar told his dad that he (Oscar) wanted to spend time with Josslyn (Eden McCoy) as she was going through a lot after being deceived by Nelle (Chloe Lanier) and losing her nephew. At Kelly’s, Josslyn noticed the expensive earbuds Cameron had and accused him of stealing. Cameron asked whether Josslyn called it stealing when she does it. The judge confronted Franco about his texting and then had the baliff remove him from the courtroom. Griffin (Matt Cohen) testified that he and Kiki were just friends. Franco pulled the fire alarm to clear the courtroom. But the security camera caught him doing it. Chase arrived at Kelly’s and showed Cameron the security footage of him at the store. Then Chase asked to check Joss’ bag but didn’t find any stolen merchandise. When Kevin arrived at the Corinthos house to ask Carly to return to therapy, Carly mentioned how the drugs she was given made her hallucinate that she was seeing him (Kevin) at Ferncliff after he left to go to France to visit Laura. When Kevin returned to Ferncliff and went to talk with the mysterious patient, we saw it was his supposedly dead serial killer brother Ryan Chamberlain. Margaux questioned Jason about the crimes he’s committed since 1996 under Sonny’s orders and made a comment about how different he and his twin brother Drew Cain were. Then, she dropped the charges against him as there was no security camera footage of him breaking Carly out of Ferncliff and the staff’s statements would be called into question due to what was going on at the facility. Jason found Drew at The Metro Court and warned his brother that D.A. Dawson had an agenda. Ava sat over the defendant’s side and pushed Scott to ask the one question that needed too be answered. Baldwin realized she knew about her daughter and Dr. Munro and then asked Griffin whether he ever had sex with Kiki Jerome.
