A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

Sonny told Brando (Johnny Wactor) that he and Dev (Ashton Arbab) could stay with The Corinthos. “The kid can stay…I’m not,” Brando said. Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) appreciated Michael (Chad Duell) for saying he wanted her to be a part of Wiley’s life but felt it better if she let him go. She explained knowing her son died just hours after his birth and that Brad (Parry Shen) and Nelle (Chloe Lanier) used him as a prop in their scheme was all she could think about. At GH, Franco (Roger Howarth) and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) waited for Cameron (William Lipton ) to arrive. Once there, the teen rushed into his relieved mother’s arms. Trina (Sydney Mikayla) was worried about her dad. Epiphany (Sonya Eddy) told Trina that Taggert (Réal Andrews) was stable but they’d be taking him into surgery soon. Jordan (Briana Henry) confronted Curtis (Donnell Turner) about not coming to her as the police commissioner when Taggert called him. Curtis reminded that if he did, Jordan would have tried to save them both (Trina and Taggert); Taggert was probably worried Trina would pay the price. Jason (Steve Burton) arrived and pulled Curtis aside asking what Ashford was doing at the warehouse and whether what happened had anything to do with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). Curtis’ answer was he was helping out a friend. Jordan was angry the names of the original task force were leaked. Laura (Genie Francis) appeared. She’d already been briefed but asked whether what happened had anything to do with Cyrus Renault. She reminded Renault wasn’t playing by conventional rules so they had to plan their attack. Brando wanted to return back to his life in Chicago. But Sonny reminded Corbin was a target because of his actions at Corinthos Coffee during the shooting. He offered to set Brando up in his own garage, saying they were family even though they’ve only met five minutes ago. Jason called Sonny and told him about Cyrus’ recent attack and how Taggert was injured. Taggert woke up. Jordan berated her former partner for keeping her in the dark and said from now on they had to work together. Trina came in and was happy to see her dad awake. She asked whether he’d be staying in Port Charles and coming to her school events. Taggert sent Trina about the room to get him something from the vending machine. Later when Sonny came to visit him, they talked about Trina and Josslyn’s (Eden McCoy) friendship. Taggert asked Sonny to watch out for her (Trina, Josslyn…possibly both). And Laura told Sonny she didn’t want him retaliating against Cyrus…as mayor, Renault was now her problem. Both Michael and Willow questioned the kind of parents they were; Willow didn’t know her baby was dead while Michael spent a year with Wiley and didn’t know he was his son. Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) came downstairs because she was unable to get Wiley asleep so Michael went to check on his son. Once alone, Sasha urged Willow to continue being a part of Wiley’s life because she was more of a mother to him than anyone else. Cameron told his mom how Jason saved his life. Elizabeth later thanked Jason. Carly (Laura Wright) reminded Brando he wouldn’t be beholden to Sonny by staying in Port Charles and accepting Sonny’s help. After Carly added she didn’t want to see anything happen to him, Brando agreed to stay. Carly told Brando he learned an important lesson there today: It was pointless to argue with her because she always got what she wanted. Lucas (Ryan Carnes) rushed to Taggert when the monitors went off. He later delivered the sad news Taggert died from a blood clot that traveled to his brain. Elizabeth comforted Trina, who blamed Curtis for leaving her dad unprotected allowing him to get shot. Jordan told Curtis the only way to protect TJ (Taj Bellows) from Cyrus’ retaliation was to disappear…she was resigning. Determine to stop Cyrus from giving orders from the inside, Mayor Collins came to Pentonville. She met Renault and told him a friend of hers recently died. And as it was easy for him to smuggle orders through anyone he came in contact with, she made sure he’d remain in solitary.

Tuesday

Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) fantasized about winning music awards then sang in the bathroom. Michael (Chad Duell) told Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) he hoped Brook Lynn’s singing didn’t wake Wiley because he’d been fussy last night and had trouble sleeping. Link was on the pier when Julian (William deVry) appeared. Jerome told Link they knew people in common like Brook Lynn Quartermaine. Julian threatened to push Link into the harbor or use the people he knew with more knowledge of the music industry to ruin Link’s business unless Link tore up Brook Lynn’s contract. On the terrace of The Metro Court, Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) told Alexis (Nancy Grahan) he planned on keeping the Cassadine name and commented even though they weren’t blood related, they were a lot alike. Finn (Michael Easton) was in the park with Violet, who spotted Anna (Finola Hughes). The girl said she missed Anna. At The Metro Court, Peter (Wes Ramsey) told Maxie (Kirsten Storms) he’s the reason Finn moved out of Anna’s. And the awkwardness between Maxie and Spinelli (Bradford Anderson). Maxie reminded the only way their relationship will work is if they tell each everything. Liesl (Kathleen Gati) interrupted; she was back from her soul searching trip in Switzerland. She had an epiphany that the mistakes she made were due to self hating. When Maxie left the table to return a call from Nina (Cynthia Watros), Liesl told Peter that like him she did things she’s ashamed of because of Cesar Faison. Obretch added that if he ever wanted to talk she was there for him. Ned (Wally Kurth) reminded his daughter he still wanted Brook Lynn to work at ELQ to experience what it really meant to be a grownup by having a real job. Valentin’s arrival interrupted Link and Julian Michael told Ned he was taking a temporary leave of absence as CEO of ELQ to focus on Wiley. But once they were only, Ned told an not surprised Olivia his intention to make his temporary CEO position permanent. Michael called Diane (Carolyn Hennesey) over to the Quartermaine house to ask her advice about Wiley’s name change. Michael planned to keep his son’s first name as Wiley because that was what the toddler was used to. However, Wiley was never a Cooper or Jones. But should his new last name be Quartermaine or Corinthos? Diane said they were powerful last names in their own right so she proposed using both: Wiley Quartermaine Corinthos. Finn told Anna he couldn’t trust Peter so he and Violet couldn’t move back in with her. Julian told Brook Lynn he and Link were interrupted by Valentin Cassadine before he saw Link tear up her contract. After speaking with Valentin about the financial advantages of continuing to work with him to get Ms. Quartermaine’s shares, Link came to Brook Lynn and told her he’d tear up her contract in exchange for her signing over her ELQ shares.

Wednesday

At the courthouse, Carly (Laura Wright) assured Nelle (Chloe Lanier) would be returning back to Pentonville soon. Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) said she liked seeing Michael (Chad Duell) happy. At the park, Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) came to the aid of a little boy who dropped his hot chocolate. When Chase (Josh Swickward) arrived, she told him about Michael’s offer stay in Wiley’s life. Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) was suspicious why Link would want shares in a company he knew nothing about. Olivia (Lisa Locierco) threatened to throw Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) out of The Metro Court. Carly urged Nelle to admit guilt for all she’s done so at least when he’s older and reads about her crimes on the internet, he’ll know she’s sorry. Mac (John J. York) entered Jordan’s (Briana Henry) office carrying a bottle of alcohol. After they drink a toast to fallen cop Taggert, Mac told Jordan he needed to take Curtis’ (Donnell Turner) statement. Then he exited her office (leaving the bottle behind). On the pier, Jason (Steve Burton) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) met with Curtis. Sonny suggested they put their differences aside and work together to get Cyrus (Jeff Kober). “Good talk,” Curtis said and walked away. Chase told Sasha he didn’t think Michael encouraging Willow to spend time with Wiley was a good idea. Shiloh’s (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) former lawyer Zahra Amir was representing Nelle. Valentin entered the courtroom and sat on Nelle’d side in the back. While the prosecutor wanted bail denied because Ms. Benson had fake passports made, Zahra requested the dismissal of all charges. During the hearing continued, Zahra was able to prove there was no forced entry when Willow was allegedly attacked in her apartment. And the assault Zahra’s client was accused of that caused Ms. Tait’s concussion was just hearsay because the statement was from Detective Chase, Willow Tait’s boyfriend. The charges were dismissed against Nelle. But Zahra reminded the prosecution could reissue them later if they have evidence. Robert (Tristan Rogers) told Carly that his office didn’t know whether they be able to make a kidnapping case against Nelle. When he called her cell, Ms. Benson thanked Valentin for his help. She suggested they go out for a drink sometime if he were lonely without Nina. Valentin wasn’t interested. “Whatever,” Nelle said annoyed after she hung up the phone. Curtis convinced his wife not to turn herself in (for setting up Cyrus to ensure a conviction) or resign as police commissioner. He said he had an idea. Nelle confronted Carly, Willow and Michael outside the courtroom and announced she was suing for sole custody of Wiley. Curtis took Jordan to see Jason and Sonny and suggested they work together for the common goal of bringing down Cyrus Renault.

Thursday

Cameron (William Lipton) had a nightmare about what happened in the warehouse. He told his mother if Jason hadn’t shown up, it would have been he and Trina who were killed. “Instead of my dad,” Trina (Sydney Mikayla) said. Liesl (Kathleen Gati) caught Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) watching Peter (Wes Ramsey) and Anna (Finola Hughes) as they talked in the park. “You dropped your bomb you can go,” Carly (Laura Wright) ordered Nelle (Chloe Lanier). Nelle refused to be dismissed and said they couldn’t stop her from suing for sole custody of her son. She reminded Michael (Chad Duell) he was no better than she was because he was a convicted felon too. Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) offered to testify for Michael if he needed it. Jordan (Briana Henry) told Curtis (Donnell Turner) she wouldn’t work with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Cameron comforted Trina (Sydney Mikayla). Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) opened the door for who she thought was Trina’s mother. But it was Ava (Maura West) and Nikolas (Marcus Coloma). Ava offered her condolences to the teen commenting Trina’s father must have been a brave man. She asked to speak with the girl alone and assured that her grief will get manageable with time. Spinelli admitted to Liesl he was watching Peter (Wes Ramsey) and suggested they work together to get something on August. Spinelli told Liesl about Brad, Nelle and the baby switch unaware Dr. Obretch already knew the truth. Anna found the payoff to gunman Brice came from a company in which Liesl was involved; the information was obviously planted by Peter. At The Metro Court, Molly (Haley Pullos) told Sam (Kelly Monaco) what happened when TJ (Taj Bellows) proposed. Trina’s mother Dr. Robinson (Brook Kerr) came to take her daughter home. She thanked Franco (Roger Howath) and Elizabeth for looking after Trina. Dr. Robinson told Ava she was aware of Ms. Jerome’s history and connections and reminded she, not Ava was Trina’s mother. An upset Ava left the Baldwin house. Franco followed when it was obvious Nikolas had no intention of comforting his wife. Franco found Ava drinking at The Metro Court. Ava told him how Trina’s heart reminded her of Kiki. Jason and Sonny decided they had to get something on the police commissioner for insurance if she decided to work with them. Molly came to Jordan’s office and told her TJ didn’t come home last night. Carly told Michael not to hold back in the fight for keeping Nelle from getting custody of Wiley. Liesl came to the courthouse and warned Nelle to keep secret Obrecht’s knowledge of Wiley’s baby switch. After Nelle left, Anna entered and told Liesl she was wrong when she thought she got away with it.

Friday

Alexis (Nancy Grahan) discovered Neil (Joe Flanigan) sitting her box at the opera. Since it was an unplanned accident, Alexis told him to stay. Cameron (William Lipton) told Trina (Sydney Mikayla) not to blame herself for her father getting shot. Meanwhile, Dr. Robinson (Brook Kerr) told Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) how she and Marcus divorced because he was a cop who loved his job and she couldn’t deal with the danger posed to her and Trina. Molly (Haley Pullos) told Jordan (Briana Henry) that TJ (Taj Bellows) didn’t come home last night or showed to work this morning. Molly believed it was because she broke his heart. She told Jordan how TJ proposed and she turned him down, adding she never wanted to get married. Jordan confirmed she received text messages from TJ after he left the restaurant. After Molly left the office, Jordan left her son a voicemail urging him to contact Molly and not punish her because she was worried about him. At Crimson, Nina (Cynthia Watros) ignored Maxie (Kirsten Storms) work suggestions focusing more on Jax (Ingo Radmachner) when he entered the office. After Maxie left, Jax told Nina he received a letter from HR and they’ve been documented to pursue a personal relationship. At The Metro Court, Finn (Michael Easton) and Violet were having a tea party with Otto the Owl (Violet’s stuffed toy) “ice tea flavored tea (which was probably just ice tea) when Peter (Wes Ramsey) came to the table. Violet invited him to join their tea party but he declined (to Finn’s relief). Jordan came over to the Baldwin house and met Trina’s mother. She was surprised Dr. Robinson knew Taggert (Réal Andrews) returned to Port Charles because of the Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) case and Renault was responsible for taking Trina and Cameron. Jax received a text from Josslyn (Eden McCoy) about her friend’s father dying from gunshot wounds sustained in a shooting. Then, he told Nina about Brad (Parry Shen) and Nelle’s deception about Wiley. Although they didn’t much like each other, Nina sympathized with the pain Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) felt as a mother. When she was alone, Ms. Reeves looked at the half heart pendant. After the opera, Neil suggested he and Alexis go out for coffee first before he walked her back to her hotel room. Anna (Finola Hughes) confronted Liesl about being responsible for hiring the gunman that came after Andre and Franco. Liesl insisted she would never hurt her Franco (Roger Howath) her only friend. But Anna called in WSB agents who arrested Dr. Obretch. Maxie (Kirsten Storms) was upset when she heard of Liesl’s arrest, wondering how James would make it not seeing his grandmother again with Liesl probably going to prison for the rest of her life. She hugged Peter and told him he was the only one she could trust. Robert (Tristan Rogers) joined Finn and Violet at their table. Finn asked Violet to go over to their waitress to get more tea. Once alone, he talked with Scorpio about leaving Anna’s house. Then, Violet brought Anna back to their table. With Violet out of earshot, Anna announced Liesl was arrested for hiring the hitman that attempted to kill Andre (Anthony Montgomery) and Franco. The skeptical looks on Finn and Robert’s face showed they didn’t believe Liesl was the guilty party. Robert left the table to make a call. Anna asked Finn now that she proved Liesl set Peter up when was he coming home?
