A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

At GH, Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) told Felix working kept her from worrying about Jason (Steve Burton). When Franco (Roger Howarth) arrived, Liz told her husband she was working late to make sure Jason was okay for Jake’s (Hudson West) sake. Harmony arrived at the Quartermaine mansion to congratulate Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and Michael (Chad Duell) on their marriage. Ava (Maura West) and Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) arrived at The Metro Court. Nelle (Chloe Lanier) asked her new sister-in-law to join she and Julian (William deVry) at their table. Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) urged Nikolas to mind his own business when Cassadine approached him after hearing the tale end of Valentin’s takeover phone call. Jordan (Briana Henry) told Curtis (Donnell Turner) she met with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). Curtis was angry his wife hadn’t told him about the meeting because she knew he wouldn’t let her go. Jordan told Curtis she’s being compromised as police commissioner but has to do Renault’s bidding to keep her family safe. Cyrus drank a toast to the demise of worthy Jason Morgan. Lulu (Emme Rylan) and Ned (Wally Kurth) discussed the meeting with the GH Board regarding Cyrus Renault’s intention of becoming the hospital’s chief financial banker. Julian admitted to Ava that Nelle was blackmailing him. Nelle reminded Ava with a smirk they wouldn’t want anything to happen to Julian. When Nelle went to the bar, Ava told Julian all he had to do was say the word; she had the resources to have Nelle taken care of permanently. After overhearing Brando (Johnny Wactor) talking with Sonny (Maurice Benard) about working on Jason’s bike, Sam (Temporarily being played by Lindsey Hartley) accused Corbin of causing Jason’s accident on purpose. Elizabeth interrupted and pulled Sam away to take her to see Jason, who was out of surgery. When Sam was walked away, Sonny asked Brando to tell him everything that would help him understand how Jason’s accident happened. Cyrus approached Ned and Lulu and assured his less than pristine reputation would be improved through philanthropy. Meanwhile, Jordan revealed to Curtis how Cyrus wanted her to change his negative reputation. To that end, she called a press conference. Learning her parole officer was asking to see Jason, Sam called Valentin and told him to get to GH. Michael received calls from Carly (Laura Wright) and Diane (Carolyn Henessey) respectively to tell him about Jason’s accident and that the judge reached a verdict in the custody case. When he arrived at GH, Sam asked Valentin what the deal was again. Valentin told her it was to give him her children’s ELQ stock voting rights until their eighteenth birthdays. Sam said he had a deal. Ned, Lulu and Cyrus listened to Jordan’s press conference in which she insisted Renault was framed and not guilty. “That’s my girl,” Cyrus said with a smile.

Tuesday

Sam (Temporarily being played by Lindsey Hartley) sat by Jason’s (Steve Burton) bedside and told him about calls from Michael (Chad Duell). At the Quartermaine mansion, Brook Lynn (Temporarily being played by Briana Lane) wished Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) and Michael luck as they were on their way to the courthouse to hear the judge’s verdict in the custody case. Ned (Wally Kurth) and Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) entered. Ned announced there’s to be an emergency ELQ board meeting. Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) entered Jason’s hospital room and asked Sam whether they had a deal. Although reluctant, Sam signed the papers transferring Danny and Scout’s ELQ shares to Valentin. TJ (Taj Bellows) overheard his mother’s phone conversation with Laura (Genie Francis) and asked whether Jordan (Briana Henry) was in trouble with the mayor for having a press conference defending Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). TJ wondered why his mother felt she had to give a press conference. At The Metro Court, Curtis (Donnell Turner) watched from the sidelines while Lucy (Lynn Herring) met Cyrus and asked him to contribute to the Nurse’s Ball. Renault wrote her a generous check and said he looked forward to getting to know her. Nelle (Chloe Lanier) wanted Martin (Michael E. Knight) to tell the judge she wouldn’t be at court today. She suggested he’d say she was sick. But Grey reminded she didn’t want the court to see her as unable to care for her son. Martin thought it better if she agreed to joint custody with Michael and drop the lawsuit against GH, Bobbie and Monica. Anger by the suggestion, Nelle fired Martin and refused to pay his bill if she lost the custody case. Grey reminded it didn’t work that way he wasn’t some ambulance chaser. Plus as an attorney, he could make her life difficult down the line. Nelle vowed she’d get sole custody of her son then take him far away from Port Charles. After Curtis dug up information on him and told him they’d now play by his rules, Cyrus warned Jordan to tell her husband to back off. Jordan questioned Renault about what Curtis had on him. When her parole officer Dolores Maloney was replaced, new one Owen allowed her to spend as much time as she wanted with Jason saying family came first. Sam was surprised she trusted Valentin and he actually came through. Ned was shocked when Valentin arrived for the ELQ stockholders’ meeting and revealed that he owned Quartermaine family shares and had voting rights to Danny Morgan and Emily Scout Cain’s stocks. When the vote was taken for ELQ to help bail out the hospital, Brook Lynn (Briana Lane) was forced to admit although she would have voted ‘Yes’ she couldn’t because she sold her stock (which Valentin bought) in order to get our of her contract with Link. The vote was split 50/50 with the arriving Lucy (who inherited 1% share from Alan) needed to cast the tie breaker.

Wednesday

Mike (Max Gail) called Sonny (Maurice Benard) to his bedside and told him he was ready to go home. He wanted to go back to Turning Woods, which he considered home. Ned (Wally Kurth) asked Lucy (Lynn Herring) whether she was voting with the family to save the hospital she loved. Ms. Coe glanced at Valentin (James Patrick Stuart). She wanted to speak with Valentin in private. But Cassadine said he was all about transparency. Realizing she had not choice since Valentin was a financial banker for Deception, Lucy voted with Valentin. She also posed Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) as a potential GH backer. Next, Valentin wanted to vote on a new CEO for ELQ and he secured the position for himself. Sam (Temporarily being played by Lindsey Hartley) was relieved when Jason (Steve Burton) regained consciousness. She told him about the accident, surgery and about having a new parole officer because of Valentin’s help. She explained the deal she made with Valentin to give him Danny and Scout’s voting rights until their eighteenth birthday. Jason reminded Valentin couldn’t be trusted and added ELQ should remain in the family for Michael’s sake. At Crimson, Nina (Cynthia Watros) found a post-it note from Nelle (Chloe Lanier) and shared her guilt about being the latest person to let Nelle down. Jax urged Nina not to let Nelle cause Nina to doubt herself. At the courthouse, Carly (Laura Wright) smirked when she told Nelle she’d need new husband Julian (William deVry) by her side when the judge made his ruling. Nelle announced she petitioned the court so only she (Nelle), Michael and their spouses could be present when the judge rendered his decision. Reluctantly, Carly left the courtroom. Willow also decided to wait outside as she was afraid of losing it. The judge acknowledged both Nelle and Michael spent time in prison for their crimes. But whereas it was easy to see Willow and Michael as a couple committed to family, Nelle Benson Jerome arrived in court wearing her wedding dress which was an obvious stunt. That coupled with her other lies and manipulations cause the judge to award sole custody to Michael as well as revoke Nelle’s visitation. Michael goes outside to give Willow and his mother the good news while Nelle tried to plead with the judge to allow her to be with her son. He told her she could file an appeal. Speaking with Nelle alone, Carly commented how Nelle never learned how to be a mother and should be happy Wiley will grow up in a loving home. Jax used his jewelry expert to how track the manufacturer of Nina’s half heart pendant. Ned threw Brook Lynn out of the Quartermaine mansion saying his daughter was no longer welcomed. At The Metro Court, Valentin announced to Jax and Nina he was ELQ’s new CEO. Carly, Willow and Michael gave Mike the good news about Michael being awarded sole custody. Meanwhile, Nelle confirmed her location tracker was still working and vowed she be with her son soon.

Thursday

Carly (Laura Wright) came to see Jason (Steve Burton) bearing gifts: A motorcycle helmet. She made him promise to wear it every time he gets on his bike. Carly said she’d continue being his power of attorney if he never puts his life in danger again by taking stupid risks. At GH, Sam (Temporarily being played by Lindsey Hartley) wanted to talk with Sonny (Maurice Benard) about Brando (Johnny Wactor) asking how well he knew Brando. Sonny told Sam he’d talk with Jason to find out how the motorcycle accident happened. Ava (Maura West) reminded Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) he needed to get ready for the unveiling of her portraits. Nikolas refused to be paraded around like a circle pony so she can play lady of the manor. Lulu (Emme Rylan) arrived at Wyndemere to ask for Nikolas financial help to bail out GH. Lulu told Ava she and Dustin (Mark Lawson) would be at the unveiling if they got back in time. Nikolas told Ava about his call with Spencer in which he told his son he’d have to stay married to her in order to keep the Cassadine legacy intact. But Spencer said he and Ava deserved each other. Lulu came to GH to tell a board member Nikolas agreed to help the hospital. But the board member told her they already accepted Cyrus Renault’s proposal to be GH’s main benefactor. Franco (Roger Howarth) and Elizabeth discussed him using his less than stellar past reputation to sell his art. Brook Lynn (Briana Henry) interrupted Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) and Chase (Josh Swickward) at The Floating Rib to vent about being tossed out of the Q mansion for selling her stock to Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart). Sasha was offered another hit out drugs in case she needed a pick-me up. Carly told Jason that Willow and Michael won sole custody of Wiley and Nelle lost her visitation rights. When she commented how Nelle grew up with Frank Benson for a father, Jason reminded Carly not to feel sorry for Nelle. Willow and Michael decided they would always be honest with each other about their feelings so they’d not end up like Sasha and Chase. Ned and Olivia argued about him throwing Brook Lynn out of the house. Then, Olivia received a text from Sasha about Brook Lynn being at The Floating Rib. Lulu told Sonny that Cyrus Renault was now GH’s financial benefactor. Olivia came to The Floating Rib and gave Brook Lynn a key to a suite she booked for her at The Metro Court. Olivia told her step daughter that despite their past differences they were family. Carly tracked Sasha and Chase down at The Floating Rib and told them Willow and Michael were awarded sole custody of Wiley. She thanked them for their sacrifice that helped make it happen. Ned told Willow and Michael how Valentin gain control of ELQ stock and was able to block the company’s bailout of the hospital and become CEO of ELQ. Cyrus told Lulu he’s now Chairman of the Board of GH. While Ava and Franco talked about their night with the portrait unveiling, Nikolas called Spencer. We learned father and son were working together to get Ava to divorce Nikolas out of guilt. Jason told Sam how Valentin was able to use Scout and Danny’s shares to swing the ELQ vote in his favor.

Friday

Ava (Maura West) was ready for the unveiling of her portrait. Scott (Kin Shriner) congratulated Franco (Roger Howarth) on his big night. Lucy (Lynn Herring), Maxie (Kristen Storms), Peter (Wes Ramsey), Lulu (Emme Rylan) and Dustin (Mark Lawson) arrived at Wyndemere. Jax (Ingo Radmacher) asked Nina (Cynthia Watros) whether she was okay being back at Wyndemere. Lulu pulled Maxie aside and asked when she would share the pregnancy news with Peter. At The Floating Rib, Anna (Finola Hughes) and Finn (Michael Easton) worked on their wedding guest list. Anna asked whether Finn was inviting his father. Finn said he only talked to his dad through Chase (Josh Swickward). Anna asked whether Finn felt Violet deserved to know his grandfather. At GH, Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) told Terry (Cassandra James) she couldn’t support a celebration of Franco’s notorious past. But Terry convinced her friend to be there for her husband. Franco jumped to Ava’s defense when Nikolas made an uncalled for comment about Kiki. Nikolas was happy to see Elizabeth at the unveiling. He took her to find Franco. Ava told Franco how she’d get 90% of the Cassadine fortune should Nikolas divorce her. But Ava wondered whether it would be better for the sake of Spencer and Nikolas’ relationship. Franco reminded Nikolas is the one responsible for the rift between he and his son. Maxie and Peter learned Lucy voted with Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) because of Deception. In order to regain her trust, Nikolas told Lulu he and Spencer were working together against Ava. Lulu accused Nikolas of being the same as when he first returned to Port Charles bent on revenge. Nina told Ava that payback isn’t always worth it. Noticing how sick she’s been lately, Peter asked Maxie whether she was okay. Ava called Franco to her side for the portrait unveiling. When the covering was removed, Ava and Franco stared at the painting in shock.
