A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

At The Metro Court, Brando (Johnny Wactor) thanked Sonny (Maurice Bernard) for convincing him to attend the Nurses Ball. Sonny received a call from Turning Woods. The call was to tell Sonny that Mike (Max Gail) smiled when watching the 2018 Nurses Ball clip of Sonny’s impromptu song. Sam (Kelly Monaco) visited Jason (Steve Burton) in his GH’s hospital room. Jason received a call from the PCPD where the investigation of his car revealed the stabilizer was faulty. Sam believed Brando installed the faulty stabilizer on purpose. Jason assured he’d take care of Brando if that were true. Michael (Chad Duell) found the cloth Julian (William deVry) dropped. Upon catching a whiff, Monica (Leslie Charleson) identified the chemical as chloroform. Michael called the police and reported his son’s kidnapping. Jax (Ingo Rademacher) and Nina (Cynthia Watros) came to The Metro Court for a celebratory drink. To thank Nina for her testimony, Carly (Laura Wright) said her drinks were on the house. Then, Carly received a call from Michael who told her about Wiley’s kidnapping. She told Sonny before leaving for the Quartermaines. Since Jason was in the hospital, Brando offered to be Sonny’s backup if he needed it. At GH, Detective Chase (Josh Swickward) took Ned’s (Wally Kurth) and learned of Link’s former hold on Brook Lynn’s (Briana Henry) career. Chase wondered whether it was a crime of passion or desperation. Chase had to leave when he got the call about Wiley’s kidnapping. When Julian pulled a gun on her saying he’s ending it, Nelle reminded she had the letter telling of his involvement with Brad (Parry Shen) in keeping Wiley from Michael and Julian’s sabotage of Lucas'(Ryan Carnes) car. Nelle pleaded for her life. Before Julian could pull the trigger, he’s jumped by Taggert (Réal Andrews) . This gave Nelle the opportunity to escape. At the Quartermaine mansion, Chase assured Willow they’d get Wiley back. The fact Wiley’s favorite toy was missing was proof Nelle was the culprit. Nina felt guilty about Nelle kidnapping Wiley. Carly called Jason to tell him about the kidnapping. Jason then contacted Spinelli (Bradford Anderson). At Charlie’s, Julian received the Amber Alert on his phone about Wiley’s kidnapping. Sonny showed up and demanded to know where Nelle took his grandson. Julian said he didn’t know. Brando found a packed duffel bag. Julian said it was clothes he was donating. Sonny warned that when Nelle was found their stories better match. Jason left GH and later found Taggert on the pier. Ned felt guilty for throwing his daughter out of the house and family. Portia (Brook Kerr) had an update from Brook Lynn’s surgical team. Nelle’s car was found abandoned. Nelle told Wiley his mommy was smart to get another untraceable car from a car lot. She said she’d be the only mommy Wiley would ever know. “You’ll never have a grandmother which is exactly what Carly deserves.”

Tuesday

Portia (Brook Kerr) told Ned (Wally Kurth) and Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) that although Brook Lynn (Briana Lane) survived the surgery there were complications. Dr. Robinson explained Brook Lynn developed tiny blood clots during the procedure so the doctor had to stop the surgery deeming it too risky. She added it was too early to tell whether she’d be okay. Olivia assured Ned he’d be able to tell his daughter he loved her. Cyrus (Jeff Kober) approached and offered Ned and Olivia “his hospital’s” support with their daughter’s attack. After the Quartermaines left, Renault questioned Portia about Brook Lynn’s condition. Dr. Robinson reminded him of HIPPA. Cyrus said he didn’t like her tone, reminding he was now her boss. He commented he hoped they didn’t have a problem. Portia said as long as he allowed her to do her job as a doctor, they didn’t have a problem. At The Metro Court, Franco (Roger Howath) and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) disagreed on who Ava (Maura West) or Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) were using them as pawns. When Nikolas entered, Elizabeth said why didn’t she just ask him. Franco said Nikolas wasn’t a good guy. Plus, he and Ava were friends so she’d never try to break them (Franco and Elizabeth) up. Ava came to Charlie’s, telling Julian (William deVry) she heard about Wiley’s kidnapping and was afraid Nelle (Chloe Lanier) roped him into her scheme. Julian said she just missed Sonny (Maurice Benard) who accused him of the same thing. Julian told Ava about chloroforming Monica (Leslie Charleson) to knock her out then taking Wiley from his nursery. He wanted to share with the police about the tracking device Nelle hid in Wiley’s favorite toy. While driving away to their new life, Nelle (Chloe Lanier) told Wiley that even though Carly (Laura Wright) was his blood grandmother he’d never know her. At the Quartermaines, Sonny told Chase (Josh Swickward), Carly, Michael (Chad Duell) and Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) his belief Julian helped Nelle. Willow decided to stay behind as everyone left for the PCPD. Then, Nina (Cynthia Watros) showed up to offer support. Nikolas spoke with Spencer on the phone and told his son although their plan didn’t work, he had another sure fire way to get rid of Ava. Later, Elizabeth spoke with Nikolas seeking his advice on the growing closeness between Ava and Franco. Meanwhile, Ava told Franco he was her best friend. Ned sat by his daughter’s bedside and told Brook Lynn he loved her. Olivia called Sonny and told him about Brook Lynn’s attack. Remembering how Brook Lynn called him, Michael realized she must have overheard Nelle’s plan and it was Nelle who attacked her. When Willow learned Nelle attacked Brook Lynn, she worried for Wiley’s safety. Julian was brought into the PCPD and Chase questioned him about where Nelle was headed with Wiley. Then, Detective Chase remembered how he wrote down Nelle and Wiley’s new alias when the police confiscated the fake passports (which disappeared from the station). He learned of an auto purchase under the alias Barbara Langdon. The Amber Alert was updated with these new names as well as the make and model of the car Nelle obtained under her new name. Nelle took a wrong turn and had to stop and consult her map. A woman aided her. Right after Nelle drove off, the Amber Alert popped up on the woman’s phone.

Wednesday

Epiphany (Sonya Eddy) was annoyed Jason (Steve Burton) summoned her to a safe house. “One of your patients needs your help” Jason told Epiphany showing her a wounded Taggert (Réal Andrews) in the bed. Epiphany treated Taggert’s gunshot wound. But reminded Jason how much she helped him over the years with no questions asked. So what she knew or didn’t regarding Taggert being alive was her business. Jax (Ingo Radmacher) showed up at the Quartermaine mansion to be there for Nina (Cynthia Watros) and to find out whether there was any news about Wiley. Brook Lynn (Briana Lane) woke up. Ned (Wally Kurth) told her to try not to talk. He apologized for the things he said and told his daughter he loved her. Brook Lynn flashed to her confrontation with Nelle (Chloe Lanier). Nelle took a wrong turn and had to stop and consult her map. A woman aided her. Right after Nelle drove off, the Amber Alert popped up on the woman’s phone. The woman realized she just saw the kidnapper. Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) came to the PCPD asking for news about Wiley. Michael (Chad Duell) told Sasha that Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) was at home. Then, Sasha came to the Quartermaine mansion saying she didn’t want Willow to be alone. Sonny entered Brook Lynn’s hospital room and knowing she couldn’t talk, asked her to nod her head if Nelle was the one who attacked her. Brook Lynn confirmed it but was unable to write down more when she was given a pen and paper. Jason called Sonny and told him he was at one of their safe house and there was a situation. But he was handling it. Michael let Willow know Nelle was the one who attacked Brook Lynn. Willow told Jax, Nina and Sasha. Chase (Josh Swickward) left the PCPD and met with the woman who seen Nelle. She told the police detective how the little boy was asleep in the back seat of the car and that she’d given the lost woman directions to the highway. Nelle arrived at a furnished cabin in the woods, telling Wiley no one would ever find them. Michael visited his cousin who told him about the QPS tracker hidden in Wiley’s toy. Michael cracked Nelle’s cellphone password when he remembered her telling him March 21, 2011 the day she had her kidney surgery was when she considered being born again. Sonny entered the safe house and was shocked to see Taggert alive. Taggert told Jason and Sonny about the woman who was about to be shot on the pier. Nelle found the stuffed kangaroo in Wiley’s bag and realized her every move was being tracked. Ignoring a call from Carly (Laura Wright), Michael was using the tracker as he drove to Nelle’s location.

Thursday

Curtis (Donnell Turner) came to Jordan’s (Briana Henry) office wanting to talk about Taggert (Réal Andrews). Curtis questioned his actions the night Taggert died wondering if he’d made one different decision Taggert might still be alive. Sonny (Maurice Benard) asked Marcus how he was alive to which Taggert replied to keep his family safe. Brook Lynn (Briana Lane) had a nightmare about Nelle’s (Chloe Lanier) attack. Michael (Chad Duell) spoke with his mother on the phone and told Carly (Laura Wright) to alert the police. Meanwhile, Nelle was angry as she looked at the tracker but assured Wiley mommy would fix it. Portia (Brook Kerr) reminded Brook Lynn not to try to talk as she needs to heal her vocal cords. But said her prognosis was good. Taggert told Jason (Steve Burton) and Sonny how Jordan helped him fake his death to help protect Trini (Sydney Mikayla) so he couldn’t murder Renault (Jeff Kober) and do that to her. At Kelly’s, Josslyn (Eden McCoy) asked Trini whether she thought Cameron (William Lipton) liked her (Josslyn). When Michael entered the cabin, Nelle clobbered him over the head with a vase. Michael wasn’t injured though and grabbed Nelle demanding to know where Wiley was. He promised if she told him he’d do everything in his power to ensure she’d have a place in Wiley’s life. Nelle found that hard to believe saying Carly wouldn’t let him. She said Carly pulled Michael’s strings and never allowed them to be happy. And the worst part of it was Michael never stood up for him even when he claimed to love her. Michael told Nelle if she didn’t cooperate with him he’d let his father handle things. And since she attacked Brook Lynn and kidnapped Wiley, Nelle would end up in Pentonville again and she’d be done when his father got to her. Trini told Josslyn how being the warehouse kidnapping brought she and Cameron closer together, admitting they kissed. The teens pinky swore they’d never let a boy come between them. Portia entered Kelly’s with Curtis and told Ashford how good it was seeing Trina smiling again. Meanwhile, a disguised Taggert watched from outside. Jax (Ingo Radmacher) and Carly arrived at the cabin. While Jax went outside to notify the police Wiley was found, Carly went after Nelle. Jax called Jordan and gave her the good news about Wiley. Jason stormed into Jordan’s office to question her about arranging Taggert to fake his death. Confronting Nelle, Carly urged her to do the right thing by turning herself into the police. But Nelle and ran away. “Carly you have to help me…I can’t hold on much longer!” Nelle (Chloe Lanier) pleaded. Carly (Laura Wright) looked down and saw Nelle hanging over a cliff. She grabbed Nelle’s hand but she slipped and fell.

Friday

“Carly you have to help me…I can’t hold on much longer!” Nelle (Chloe Lanier) pleaded. Carly (Laura Wright) looked down and saw Nelle hanging over a cliff. She grabbed Nelle’s hand but she slipped and fell. Jordan met Jason (Steve Burton) on the pier and asked what was so important that he barged into her office and risked her reputation. He gave her a shell casing and told her he found it there on the pier. “The same place I found Taggert.” Jason explained he was chasing down a lead on Nelle when he found Taggert shot on the pier. He commented he noticed she wasn’t shocked that Taggert was alive. Jordan admitted she had his death faked. Jason said he could have just called 911 and Taggert would have been taken to the ER. Sam (Kelly Monaco) came to Alexis’ (Nancy Grahan) house. She said she was angry with Jason for checking out of GH without the authorization. Then they talked about the Nurses Ball. Alexis wanted to know whether Neil (Joe Flanigan) was one of the volunteers. Sam left when Neil arrived to ask Alexis whether she was serious when she said they were no longer friends. At Kelly’s, Portia (Brook Kerr) and Curtis (Donnell Turner) talked about their former relationship and how when he ended it when he discovered she was married. Portia commented she wanted Trina (Sydney Mikayla) to be like Taggert. Jax found Carly sitting by the cliff’s edge. She told Jax what happened. He urged her not to tell the police Nelle was dead because they wouldn’t believe it an accident and Carly would go to prison. Carly reminded cover-ups never work because the truth always comes out. Detective Valerie Spencer arrived at the cabin to take Michael’s (Chad Duell) statement. She called Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) to tell her Wiley was found safe. Jordan told Jason that Curtis doesn’t know Taggert is alive because she didn’t want him implicated. She said he may never forgive her if he finds out. Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) doctor told him he could either sit there and rot. Or do the treatment to get back to his life. Dante wondered how much of his family was still waiting for him. Meanwhile, Lulu (Emme Rylan) answered a text from Dustin (Mark Lawson) asking when she’d be home. When Jax and Carly returned to the cabin, Valerie said she had questions for Carly about what happened with Nelle. Willow fell asleep on the couch and woke up to the sound of Michael’s voice on the baby monitor. She rushed upstairs and hugged Michael, relieved Wiley was safely home and in his own bed.
