A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) found Nina (Cynthia Watros) outside Kelly’s obviously upset. Valerie questioned Carly (Laura Wright) about what happened when she found Nelle (Chloe Lanier). Sonny (Maurice Benard) visited Mike (Max Gail) and told him Brook Lynn (Briana Lane) would be okay. Michael (Chad Duell) told Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) he was able to find Wiley because of Brook Lynn. He explained how Nelle put a GPS tracker on Wiley’s favorite toy. He told his dad Michael was a good father so he (Sonny) wanted to see his father. Neil (Joe Flanigan) told Alexis (Nancy Grahan) he missed her and hoped she missed her too. Alexis admitted she did and told him she didn’t want them to take their relationship slowly. Emotionally, Sonny said he was happy about the time they’ve spent together even though it’s coming to an end. Jason (Steve Burton) spoke with Sam (Kelly Monaco) on the phone and told her he’d be home soon. Then, Sam confronted Valentin about tricking her into signing over her children’s ELQ shares and leaving GH open to a drug trafficker. Valentin said he kept his part of their deal and helped her with her parole officer. And if it made Sam feel any better, she wasn’t the only one he got ELQ stock from. Sam accused Valentin of going after ELQ as payback against Michael. Valerie asked Carly whether when she fought with Nelle and left any identifiable wounds or scars like a black eye. Carly said Nelle could have scratches but she didn’t know whether she had a black eye. Valerie said Carly, Willow or Michael shouldn’t have to look over their shoulders and vowed she won’t rest until Nelle is found and brought to justice. When Michael told her how Nelle hit him over the head with a vase, Willow said she didn’t know what she’d do if something happened to him. Nina told Valentin how Jax (Ingo Radmacher) was helping her find her child by using the jeweler who cut the heart necklace in two. Danny was happy when Jason returned home. Valerie came to the Quartermaine mansion to give Willow and Michael an update on Nelle. Sonny told Carly how he let his dad know it was okay for Mike to let go when he’s ready. Neil and Alexis made love and decided their new life started tomorrow. But later, Alexis discovered his feet were cold and then checked for a pulse.

Tuesday

Carly (Laura Wright) had a nightmare in which Nelle (Chloe Lanier) came to her and said death couldn’t stop her. When Jax (Ingo Radmacher) came over, Carly said because she didn’t see Nelle’s body there was still a chance she could still be alive. The jeweler told Nina (Cynthia Watros) they may be able to trace her heart shaped necklace back to its original craftsman. Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) gave Brook Lynn (Briana Henry) a tablet to help her communicate. Brook Lynn typed that Ned (Wally Kurth) disowned her. And even if he didn’t mean it, it was too late. While attempting to give him a foot rub, Alexis (Nancy Grahan) realized Neil’s (Joe Flanigan) feet were ice cold. When she heard the front door, Alexis screamed for Sam’s (Kelly Monaco) help. Then, she called 911 and said Neil wasn’t breathing and asked them to hurry. The paramedics wheeled Neil’s body away. Valerie took Alexis’ statement, questioning her about the nature of her relationship with Dr. Byrne. Alexis said their relationship was over…whatever they were or couldn’t have been, now she’ll never know. Detective Spencer said it looked like Dr. Byrne died of a heart attack but they’ll know more after the autopsy. Brook Lynn typed Ned couldn’t take back what he said. Olivia said they would both feel better once they forgive each other. Brook Lynn typed ‘What Home?’ when Ned said she’ll feel better when he brought her home. Carly told Jax how she was so used to looking over her shoulder for Nelle it will be strange she’s no longer there. Sonny (Maurice Benard) gave his dad a shave to get him ready for their trip to the track. Michael (Chad Duell) told Jason (Steve Burton) how he found Wiley and then about kissing Willow (Katelyn MacMullen). After Jason left, Michael overheard Willow on the baby monitor talking with Wiley about the unexpected kiss with his daddy. Brook Lynn typed it was her choice not to return home then asked him to leave. Alexis cried to Sam she finally found a man who understood her and never lied to him and now he’s dead. Nina told Jax how the jeweler was able to identify that the clasp was a signature piece which will help her track it. Ned commented how Brook Lynn was him, his mother and her mother all rolled it to one. With strong personalities including Tracy and Lois, no wonder she was being stubborn. He was surprised when Olivia said she was still going to see Dante. She reminded how never make any progress with Brook Lynn if he keeps trying to control the situation. Olivia said she was not going to keep her son waiting. Willow and Michael came to visit Brook Lynn and thanked her for her courage and sacrifice for making it all possible for Wiley to come home. Mike, Carly and Sonny left for the track.

Wednesday

Robert (Tristan Rogers) spoke with Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) on the phone and told him he wanted Maxie (Kristen Storms) to know the truth about her baby’s father (Peter) before the kid popped out. Ned (Wally Kurth) asked Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) what about Brook Lynn (Briana Lane) if Liv went to see Dante. Lulu (Emme Rylan) and Dustin (Mark Lawson) visited Brook Lynn at GH’s ICU. Carly (Laura Wright) admitted Sonny (Maurice Benard) made the right decision bringing Mike (Max Gail) to the track. Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) and Michael (Chad Duell) took Wiley to the park. Michael told Willow he wanted her to adopt Wiley. Meanwhile, Chase (Josh Swickward) and Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) were at The Bistro. Convinced because of the severity of her crimes Nelle (Chloe Lanier) would never have access to Wiley again, he wanted to come clean to Willow about their (his and Sasha’s) “affair.” Sasha told Chase he couldn’t do that to Willow now that she thought of herself as Wiley’s mother. Lulu told Brook Lynn she remembered the trauma of being stabbed and left for dead so if she needed someone to talk with she was there. Anna discussed the dinner party she was planning for Peter and Maxie to celebrate their baby news. Robert asked whether something was wrong when he noticed the look on her face after they left. Mike responded to touching the horse and thanked Sonny. Anna reminded Robert that Peter was going to be a father so he should give Peter a chance. Olivia said Ned was asking her to chose between their children when this could be her last chance to talk to her son. Sasha came to see Brook Lynn and brought her Deception’s new moisturizer. She told Ms. Quartermaine that Chase wasn’t a dirt bag. Chase watched from the bushes while Willow and Michael talked about Wiley and their relationship. Sasha told Brook Lynn she made the first move so she shouldn’t blame Chase. Ned urged Olivia to honor Dante’s wishes by leaving him alone. Angry, Olivia said Ned threw his daughter out of the family home like a common criminal. But she would never abandon her children. Robert arrived to take Olivia to the airport. She said she’d call him when she got there. Lulu and Dustin met Maxie and Peter for coffee at The Bistro. Maxie said she felt sorry for what happened to Brook Lynn. At GH, Chase sadly told Sasha she was right…they can’t go back and tell Willow and Michael the truth. Anna received a mysterious phone call.

Thursday

Anna (Finola Hughes) received a call from Alex (also Hughes) who congratulated her twin on Anna becoming a grandmother. Alex asked Anna to meet her in Berlin. But when she told Finn (Michael Easton) about the call and Alex’s invitation, Finn warned her not to take the bait. Peter (Wes Ramsey) apologized for being late for Maxie’s (Kristen Storms) doctor appointment. He assured it was the last time he’d let work interfere with her and the baby. Peter and Maxie were excited to see their baby on the ultrasound. Robert (Tristan Rogers) and Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) boarded the flight for Liv to see Dante. A PCPD officer came to Brando’s (Johnny Wactor) garage to question him about the stabilizer he installed on Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) bike. Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) updated Jason on his plan to find out whether Brando was working for Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) and sabotaged Jason’s bike on purpose. Sam (Kelly Monaco) arrived home with Alexis (Nancy Grahan) and told Jason her mother would be staying with them for a while. Alexis told Jason and Spinelli how Dr. Neil Byrnes (Joe Flanigan) died in his sleep from an apparent heart attack. After Jason and Spinelli left, Sam talked about Brando and Jason’s accident and also what she had to do to get Valentin’s (James Patrick Stuart) help with her parole officer troubles. Alexis reminded her daughter life was too short for regrets. She suggested Sam go meet up with Jason and Spinelli. When Sonny (Maurice Benard) found Cyrus at Turning Woods working on a puzzle with a patient, he accused Renault of breaking their truce. Renault insisted he was just taking an interest in patient care as he planned on doing at GH. Brick (Stephen A. Smith) appeared introducing himself as Sonny’s private security consultant. After Cyrus left, Brick asked Sonny how Mike (Max Gail) was doing.Renault’s associate checked on Brando to see whether he needed any help with his legal troubles with the PCPD. Later, Spinelli distracted Brando requesting a jump for his van’s battery so Jason could install a hidden camera in Corbin’s garage. Sonny came to GH to see Monica (Leslie Charleson) but learned both she and Bobbie (Jackie Zeman) were fired by Cyrus Renault. Alexis came to GH to get the results of Neil’s autopsy and told Finn about Dr. Byrnes’ death. Peter and Maxie showed Anna the ultrasound photo and commented their baby will have two strong and adventurous grandmothers. It was revealed one of Renault’s henchmen tampered with Jason’s bike. Sam met up with Jason and Spinelli at the park. They watched on video two Renault henchmen beating up Brando. Jason didn’t know what that was about but knew it didn’t look good so he left to help Corbin. Sam and Spinelli followed.

Friday

At GH, Alexis ( Nancy Grahan) told Finn (Michael Easton) how she discovered Neil (Joe Flanigan) in dead when she came to bring him coffee. Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) interrupted Anna (Finola Hughes), Maxie (Kristen Storms) and Peter (Wes Ramsey) talk of the baby being a girl by commenting how terrible sisters can be, meaning Anna’s twin Alex (also Hughes). After Peter and Maxie left, Anna asked Valentin to come to Berlin with her when she went to meet Alex. Valentin gave Anna advice so Alex won’t sense her weakness. Wearing a chef’s hat, Curtis (Donnell Turner) surprised Jordan (Briana Henry) in her office with the romantic gesture of dinner. While one of Renault’s (Jeff Kober) held his arms behind his back, the other beat up Brando (Johnny Wactor). After the men left, Jason (Steve Burton) entered with his gun drawn. After verifying the coast was clear, he let Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Spinelli (Bradford) in. Jason checked Brando’s pulse. “Is he alive?” Sam asked. “For now,” Jason answered. He told Sam they should take Brando to GH themselves and not call 911. When TJ (Taj Bellows) told her he and Brando planned to hang out at the batting cage, Molly suggested he go easy on Brando due to Corbin’s former baseball injury. But in truth, Molly (Haley Pullos) didn’t want TJ and Brando spending time together. TJ told Molly how GH’s new benefactor Cyrus Renault fired both Bobbie (Jackie Zeman) and Monica (Leslie Charleson). Cyrus overheard their conversation and approached. He admitted he knew who TJ was and insisted he fired both doctors for cause. TJ said both Bobbie and Monica had a huge impact on him pursuing a medical career. Spinelli tried to remove the camera Jason put in Brando’s garage. Peter and Maxie entered looking for Brando to do work on Peter’s car. After Maxie left to meet with Lucy (Lynn Herring) about Deception, Spinelli told Peter how Nelle (Chloe Lanier) said August and Shiloh’s connection went back to years ago overseas. Curtis urged TJ not to antagonize Cyrus Renault. Portia (Brook Kerr) updated Sam and Jason on Brando’s condition. Afterwards, Jason told Sam he believed Cyrus distracted Brando while a henchman sabotaged his (Jason) bike. Jason told Brando how he and Sam found him and brought him to the hospital. Corbin commented that was fortunate timing. Jason added that he doesn’t believe he had anything to do with his (Jason) bike accident, it was all Renault. Alexis was surprised when Jordan revealed Neil’s cause of death was a drug overdose. Anna told Finn she may have to find another way to get to Alex. Spinelli taunted Peter that once Nelle turned up she’d confirm August’s connection to Shiloh. While still at Brando’s garage, Peter called Valentin and said “Nelle Benson Jerome. You’ve had dealings with her.” “Why do you ask?” Valentin wondered. “Because she’s running her mouth and it could blow up my life” Peter replied. “Gotcha” Spinelli said smiling after watching the conversation video on his computer.
