A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

Anna (Finola Hughes) updated Finn (Michael Easton) about what happened to Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and also told him about Falconieri’s WSB file being redacted and Dr. Kirk’s death. After learning Liesl (Kathleen Gati) was one of Dr. Kirk’s patients, Anna wondered if Obretch had something to do with Kirk’s death. Ms. Devane speculated whether Liesl’s been in contact with her daughter. When Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) told her mother how Peter (Wes Ramsey) threatened her, Liesl vowed to make August pay. Britt smiled when Scott entered the apartment wondering if her mother’s relationship with Baldwin was more personal than him being Franco’s father. Liesl said she was treating Franco and besides for Britt only he and Scott knew she was back. Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) told Laura (Genie Francis) how his feelings for Ava (Maura West) have changed and he wanted to marry her for real this time. He explained he understood Ava now; she grew up in foster homes and all she wanted was a family. Ava asked Trina (Sydney Mikayla) whether she could forgive her dad for faking his death. Franco (Roger Howath) told Scott (Kin Shriner) and Cameron (William Lipton) how Alexis jabbed Dante with a syringe while attempting to stab him. Laura supported Nikolas’ decision to remarry Ava when he said he believed she could and did fully love him. However, she hadn’t accepted his proposal yet. Franco reminded Ava how life’s too short and if she could find happiness with Nikolas, she shouldn’t sabotage herself. When she learned what almost happened to him, Trina suggested Franco get a bodyguard. Carly (Laura Wright) wanted Nina (Cynthia Watros) to think Nelle (Chloe Lanier) found the necklace in the woods. But Jax (Ingo Radmacher) said he didn’t tell Nina about Nelle and the necklace because he believes she was Nina’s daughter. Carly reminded Nina of Nelle’s many crimes. But Nina saw her as someone who wasn’t evil but damaged. Nina realized she ruined her daughter’s chance of being a mother to her son. Since she had Nelle’s personal effects for when she arranged the burial, Nina thought that was a way to prove if she was her daughter. She don’t Jax she didn’t have time to deal with him. On the pretext of getting her to sign a form approving overtime for a lab assistant, Finn managed to get Britt to say her mother was set up on the charge of trying to kill Franco. He and Anna knew this meant Britt was in contact with Liesl. Meanwhile, Liesl told Scott that Dr. Kirk’s patient files were released to Dr. Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom). She knew Anna Devane was pulling the strings and would learn she was one of Kirk’s patients. Taking Franco’s advice, Ava came to GH. With Laura present, she accepted Nikolas’ marriage proposal. But he wanted to do it right, so Nikolas got down on bended knee, pulled out a Cassadine heirloom ring and asked Ava to marry him for real this time. Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) taunted Carly that Jax and Nina’s relationship was over. She slapped him when he said she could return to Jax’s bed now that Sonny (Maurice Benard) was dead. Nina cried when she opened the box of Nelle’s things and found a childhood photo of her wearing the necklace. Although he didn’t want her to be alone, Nina asked Jax to leave. She couldn’t believe her daughter had been right in front of her and she didn’t know it.

Tuesday

Cyrus (Jeff Kober) offered his sympathies to Laura (Genie Francis) on what happened to her former son-in-law. He commented how danger seemed to follow their family. He gave Laura a photo from his childhood showing a young Gordon and Florence and a happy Grey family. A family she was a part of no matter how much she tried to deny it. Sam (Kelly Monaco) visited Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and told him about her mother’s attack with a syringe. She asked why he’d risk his life to protect Franco. Martin (Michael E. Knight) got Alexis (Nancy Grahan) out on bail. But the one thing Alexis wanted her attorney couldn’t give her was a drink. Martin reminded his client it was her drinking that got her in this situation. However, he said she could get off if they got a sympathetic jury. Maxie (Kristen Storms) told Peter (Wes Ramsey) if he’d held off writing the article Franco (Roger Howath), Alexis wouldn’t have attacked Dante. Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) told Anna (Finola Hughes) if Peter hadn’t twisted the facts, her husband wouldn’t be a target. Franco came to Scott’s (Kin Shriner) apartment looking for his dad. Alexis told Jordan (Temporary played by Tiffany Daniels) it was 30/70 she’d change her plea to guilty. But Martin said that wasn’t an option. He added he intended to defend her to the best of his ability because although she no longer cared about being a lawyer, he did. Peter (Wes Ramsey) told Maxie he’s worried he’ll pale in comparison to Nathan. Dante told Sam and Anna he doesn’t know why he protected Franco. Liesl (Kathleen Gati) warned Franco if there were a choice between Peter and him, Anna would protect Peter. Laura promised Martin she’d do whatever she could to get his mother back for him. Cyrus came to see Jordan and offered to ensure her friend Taggert went free in exchange for Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) bringing his mother back. Franco asked for a session with Kevin (Jon Lindstrom). Anna overheard him telling Dr. Collins about hearing Peter’s voice in his head. Franco told Elizabeth that Liesl was cleared of trying to kill him and was working with the WSB to uncover the real culprit. Liz warned her husband not to trust Obrecht. Anna and Kevin tried to figure out the connection of why Franco was hearing Peter’s voice in his head.

Wednesday

Jackie Templeton (Kim Delaney) approached Jason at The Metro Court Bar. Since she was doing a follow-up, she wanted Jason’s comment. Cyrus came to see Jordan (Temporary played by Tiffany Daniels) and offered to ensure her friend Taggert went free in exchange for Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) bringing his mother back. “It’s a simple exchange really. My dear mother for Trina Robinson’s father” Cyrus said. He then warned Jordan if anything happened to his mother, no one she cared about was safe. Trina (Sydney Mikayla) came to GH to see Portia (Brooke Kerr). Trina told Portia she missed her father and worried about him being alone in jail. Curtis (Donnell Turner) found Alexis (Nancy Grahan) outside an addiction meeting at GH and reminded she’d find the help she needed inside. They entered for the meeting where Monica (Leslie Charleson) introduced her only by her first name as an alcoholic. Alexis addressed the group as an alcoholic who gave up when things got tough. Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) told Martin (Michael E. Knight) that Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) was Nina’s (Cynthia Watros) daughter. Then, Valentin visited Nathan’s grave and assured he was keeping an eye on the family. Laura (Genie Francis) came to see Carly (Laura Wright) and asked her to tell her where Jason was keeping Florence. Carly answered that she couldn’t undermine if Jason thought he was doing what was protecting her family. But Carly agreed to think about what Laura said. Martin interrupted Jackie and Jason. But it was fine with Jason as he had no comment. Grey tried to protect his mother and had been returned. Jackie wasn’t buying it. Maxie visited Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) in his GH hospital room. She apologized for Peter’s (Wes Ramsey) role in him getting hurt. Peter was listening outside the door as Dante questioned Maxie about being with August because he was Nathan’s brother. He entered the room and asked how Dante was doing. After Maxie left, Peter said Dante working as head of The Invader security wasn’t a good idea so he fired him. Cyrus told Portia that he offered not to cooperate with the Feds so Taggert could go free but Commissioner Ashford turned him down. Laura received a text from Jordan and came to Commissioner Ashford’s office. They discussed how they could get Dr. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) to flip on Cyrus and get on their side. Maxie visited Nathan’s grave. Saying how much she missed him, Ms. Jones wondered whether she was with Peter because he was his brother and didn’t see him for who he really was. Jason came to the Corinthos house. Carly told him about Laura’s visit. She thought they should allow Martin to know Florence was safe. But Jason said Florence was leveraged keeping Cyrus in place. But if he could figure out a way to do it, he’d set Grey’s mind at ease. Valentin suggested Jackie helping bring Florence Grey home would not only make her a hero but make a great story.

Thursday

Dante (Dominic Zamprogona) was woozy as he tried to stand. Sam (Kelly Monaco) tried to help steady him. Franco (Roger Howath) appeared and asked Dante why he jumped to his rescue…was it a reflex? Dante said he didn’t know. Carly (Laura Wright) told Jason (Steve Burton) she wants the situation with Martin (Michael E. Knight) handled as it would be something she had control of. Scott (Kin Shriner) appeared and Carly had to walk away when he made a remark about Sonny (Maurice Benard). Scott warned Jason if anything happened to Franco, Morgan would spend the rest of his life in a hamster cage. Anna (Finola Hughes) asked Finn (Michael Easton) whether he could live without knowing if he decided not to pursue the paternity test. Finn said he had to know either way. And if Chase (Josh Swickward) wasn’t his son, no one never needed to know about his past with Jackie (Kim Delaney). But if Chase was his son, the question was: Should he tell him? Jax (Ingo Radmacher) texted Nina (Cynthia Watros) because he was worried about her. Nina joined Maxie (Kristen Storms) at the cemetery commenting what kind of sister she would be if she didn’t honor her brother on the day of his passing. Britt showed up since she was Nathan’s sister. When she made a remark about Peter (Wes Ramsey), Maxie got angry as it was just another person against her relationship with Peter. Britt reminded Maxie that like Britt herself, everyone would always judge Peter for having Faison for a father. At Volonino’s Chase and Gregory (Gregory Harrison) sparred in the boxing ring. Chase asked about his parents’ marriage. Gregory said he and Jackie grew apart like most couples did when they’d been married awhile. When Finn arrived, he told Chase not to get in the middle of his parents’ marriage. Afterwards, Finn took the water bottle Chase drank from out of the trash in order to use it as a sample for the paternity test. Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) came to see Anna. She updated him about Liesl’s release and Franco hearing Peter’s voice in his head. If Franco was having Drew’s memories from the memory transfer, that meant Drew knew Peter before he came to Port Charles. Jackie learned from Scott that Bobbie was doing private nursing. Carly met with Jax for coffee at The Bistro. She apologized for causing his problems with Nina for encouraging him to keep the secret Nelle (Chloe Lanier) was Nina’s daughter. Nina, Britt and Maxie decided to be allies as they weren’t just friends, they were family through Nathan. Nina decided because she never got to be a part of her daughter’s life she would be a part of grandson Wiley’s life.

Friday

At Crimson, Nina (Cynthia Watros) put the heart necklaces together. While looking at Nathan’s picture, Nina vowed she wouldn’t let another member of her family down. Jax (Ingo Radmacher) entered, saying he was there because she hasn’t answered his texts or returned his calls. Nina angrily reminded him how he let Carly (Laura Wright) convince him it was better to keep the truth from her. She added he played into Carly’s hatred of Nelle (Chloe Lanier); he chose Carly over her. Jason (Steve Burton) told Carly he took care of their Martin (Michael E. Knight) problem. At The Metro Court, Martin was handed a package. Inside was a cell phone with a post on it on top reading Florence. Chase (Josh Swickward) arrived at the Corinthos house. He told Willow (Katelyn MacMuellen) and Michael (Chad Duell) that Commissioner Ashford has arranged for extra security for Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) funeral. Jason explained to Michael how the funeral is to make a statement he was now in charge. Finn (Michael Easton) swapped the inside of cheek then gave that sample along with the water bottle Chase drank from for DNA testing. Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) reminded Anna (Finola Hughes) that Peter (Wes Ramsey) lied to them about knowing Drew. Peter surprised Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) at Nathan’s grave. He said he came to tell Nathan he would take care of Maxie (Kristen Storms) and James. Britt commented the apple didn’t fall far from the tree and Peter was more like Faison than Anna. She said Peter would never be half the man Nathan was. Jackie (Kin Delaney) cornered Finn at GH. Finn took her in his office and explained how his recent near death experience made him think about the legacy he’d leave behind. He needed to know whether Chase was part of that legacy as his son and Violet’s brother. But Finn still was undecided to tell Chase if he turned out to be his father. Lenny commented to Florence (Juliette Jeffers) how Mike/Sonny had a dislike for cops. Martin called Florence and was relieved to hear she liked the new facility. Although happy to speak with his mother, Martin told her nothing could replace an in person visit. Nina told Jax that by keeping the secret Nelle was her daughter he almost made her miss being a part of her grandson’s life. Martin came to see Carly and told her out of respect for her because of her husband’s death he would suspend the search for his mother temporarily. But reminded one call with his mother wasn’t enough to make him stop until she was returned. Worried for her safety because his father’s enemies may target him because he’s a Corinthos, Michael asked Willow to move into the guest house. Anna asked Britt where her mother was. Valentin overheard Peter telling Nathan how he’d replace him as Maxie’s husband and James’ father and he’d be a distant memory. Valentin asked Peter why he came to him awhile back worried about Jason Morgan. He also told him Liesl (Kathleen Gati) was missing and asked whether Obretch had a reason to come after Peter. Nina called Talos to tell Florence she’d found her daughter. She was taken aback when Mike/Sonny answered the phone.
