A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

Phyllis (Juliette Jeffers) was happy to see Nina (Cynthia Watros) when she arrived at The Tano-o. Nina told Phyllis about how Jax (Ingo Radmacher) put Carly (Laura Wright) first and lied about what happened when Nelle (Chloe Lanier) fell off the cliff. Phyllis told Nina to see Carly’s weakness. Nina commented about Carly losing her husband around Christmas. Meanwhile, Mike/Sonny (Maurice Benard) had the dream about the blonde woman again. Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) called Martin (Michael E. Knight) and told him he’d wait because he really needed to see him. Then, he came over to where Jax and Carly were talking and told Jax about Nina leaving town. Chase (Josh Swickward) came to the Quartermaine mansion. He and Michael (Chad Duell) talked about The Invader article revealing Chase’s paternity. Michael told Chase that Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) was back. Chase was shocked when he saw Brook Lynn was pregnant. She teased him by saying her baby needed a father so she needed his help. Michael told Ned (Wally Kurth) how Valentin offered to return Danny and Scout’s ELQ shares in exchange for Nina being granted time with Wiley. This gave Ned an idea. Britt (Kelly Thiebauld) came to Maxie’s (Kristen Storms) as a doctor to check on the baby. They also talked about Peter (Wes Ramsey). Britt asked whether Maxie was considering getting back together with Peter as they’ll always be connected through their child. Just then, Peter knocked on the door. Although at first hesitant to let him in (primarily because of Britt), Maxie opened the door. Peter told her and Britt how Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) stole Maxie’s phone and sent him a text to lure him to the cemetery. Once there, Dante almost shot him if not for Sam. When Robert (Tristan Rogers) arrived, he ordered Henrik to leave. Peter agreed but said he was only doing it for Maxie and they would talk soon. After Peter was gone, Maxie said she’d have to come up with a plan to keep Peter at bay in a way where he wouldn’t retaliate. Carly told Jax her fear that Jason (Steve Burton) would be sent to prison and she’d lose him like she did Sonny. Jax assured no matter what happened, Carly would always have him. Valentin asked Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) to put in a good word for him with Brook Lynn. Ned realized Brook Lynn plan to use her baby in exchange to gain controlling interest in ELQ. Peter interrupted and confronted Valentin for spreading lies about him. Valentin said Peter didn’t deserve to be a father to Maxie’s baby. When Olivia interfered, Peter suggested she worry about her own son. He told her how Dante pulled a gun on him. Olivia left a message for Dante telling him to call her when he got it then she left The Metro Court. Peter angrily told Valentin he was tired of being compared to his father reminding Valentin was the man who delivered him to Faison. Valentin told Peter it was time he took responsibility for his own actions. Phyllis offered Nina her guest room if she wanted to stay for a while but Nina declined. Mike/Sonny came downstairs after Nina left The Tano-o. He realized Nina left her passport and offered to catch up with her and give it to her. But Nina returned and came face-to-face with the presumed dead Sonny.

Tuesday

Mike/Sonny (Maurice Benard) came downstairs after Nina (Cynthia Watros) left The Tano-o. He realized Nina left her passport and offered to catch up with her and give it to her. But Nina returned and came face-to-face with the presumed dead Sonny. Portia (Brooke Kerr) came to Curtis’ (Donnell Turner) new nightclub. Trina (Sydney Mikayla) also arrived. She apologized to Curtis for blaming him for all the things she said when she believed her dad was dead. Cameron (William Lipton) vowed to find someone to make Jason (Steve Burton) pay for killing Franco when he heard his mother and Laura (Genie Francis). Both Liz and Laura told Cameron they needed to trust the law to handle Jason Morgan. Laura told Cameron to come with her. Brook Lynn admitted to her father she’s developed maternal interest for her child. But told Ned (Wally Kurth) she’d use the baby to get ELQ back for the family. After telling Martin (Michael E. Knight) he was going to be a father again, Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) asked his attorney to do everything in his power to ensure he was a part of his child’s life. Ava (Maura West) told Jax (Ingo Radmacher) and Carly (Laura Wright) she knew where Nina was. Meanwhile, Mike/Sonny asked Nina whether he knew her. Then he said he remembered she called asking Phyllis (Juliette Jeffers) to come to some place called Port Charles. Phyllis came back into the room and introduced Nina to make. Ned urged Brook Lynn not to make the same mistakes he did. Martin suggested that Valentin take the lawyers out of it and try to reach an amicable agreement with the mother. Laura and Cameron arrived. Cameron asked Curtis to make Jason pay for killing Franco. But Trina had a better idea. She suggested he used the guitar the former owner left behind to express his feelings. Finn (Michael Easton) came to see how Elizabeth is doing. He said as she was Violet’s aunt, he considered them family. He then told her how he and Anna (Finola Hughes) were over and also that he was Chase’s (Josh Swickward) biological father. When Laura called to tell Elizabeth to come to the nightclub, Liz asked Finn to stay with Jake and Aiden. Taking Martin’s advice, Valentin came to the Quartermaines and told Brook Lynn although the decisions for her body are hers, he’s there for whatever she needs for the baby…she’s not alone. Martin confirmed for Ava and Carly that in the State of New York grandparents have rights. Ava warned Carly that Nina could end of taking Wiley away from her. Elizabeth came to Curtis’ nightclub and heard Cameron saying goodbye to Franco through song. Phyllis told Nina after almost drowning in a bad accident, Mike had no memory of who he was. He needed someone to fill in the pieces. Later, Nina picked up her cellphone and called Carly, saying she had something important to tell her.

Wednesday

Nina (Cynthia Watros) assured Mike/Sonny (Maurice Benard) everything was going to be okay. After he walked away, Nina picked up her cellphone and called Carly (Laura Wright) saying she had something important to tell her. Jordan (Briana Henry) visited Taggert in jail and asked why he changed his plea to guilty. Taggert said it was to protect Portia and Trina. Jordan said he didn’t have to worry anymore because they had leverage: Cyrus’ (Jeff Kober) mother. Jordan said she had nothing to do with kidnapping Renault’s mother. Trina told her mother and Curtis (Donnell Turner) she decided to forgive her father. Jordan urged Taggert to fight for his freedom for Trina’s sake. At GH, Maxie (Kristen Storms) saw Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) was pregnant. Brook Lynn told her the baby’s father was Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart). At The Metro Court, Valentin told Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) they had something to celebrate. When he ran into Anna (Finola Hughes), Valentin announced he was going to be a father again from a one night stand with Brook Lynn Quartermaine. When Carly warned her if she tried to take legal action to see Wiley she’d lose everything, Nina changed her mind about telling Carly that Sonny was alive saying “You made your bed now you’ll have to lie in it alone.” Lucas welcomed Brook Lynn home. Peter (Wes Ramsey) barged in on the birthing class and apologized for being late, promising Maxie their daughter’s birth will be easier than James’ was. Britt took Peter outside the room and reminded him Maxie was fragile and he needed to give her time. Charlotte wasn’t happy having another brother or sister, especially since her papa was his or her daddy. The little girl worried the baby would replace her in Valentin’s heart. He told her he’d never feel about anyone the way he felt about her. Portia apologized to Curtis for not telling him she was married before they got involved. Trina urged her dad to fight to get the charges so she could hug him with bars restricting them. Carly told Michael that Nina said something and sounded a lot like Nelle. She added that if Nina pushed them they’d fight in court and she wouldn’t win. Nina told Mike/Sonny that she exchanged words with the other grandmother of her grandson Wiley…the woman who took her daughter away from her by not trying to save her. Mike/Sonny commented that maybe Nina should take something away from this woman so she’d know how it felt. He then said that they (he and Nina) could be the start of a beautiful friendship.

Thursday

Due to ongoing breaking news coverage, today’s scheduled episode of General Hospital will instead air tomorrow.

Friday

Taggert (Réal Andrews) greeted his new room mate and asked Jason (Steve Burton) “What did you do this time?” At GH, Sam (Kelly Monaco) assured Olivia (Lisa LoCierco) that Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) would make Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) better and get him back on track. Olivia thanked Sam (Kelly Monaco) for talking Dante out of killing Peter (Wes Ramsey). Anna (Finola Hughes) asked Dante how he was doing. “You tell me” Dante said. Anna commented it was terrible what Dr. Kirk did to him. Jason told Taggert although he was charged with the murder of Franco Baldwin, Trina (Sydney Mikayla) and Portia (Brooke Kerr) would still be protected. At The Metro Court, Laura (Genie Francis) asked Martin (Michael E. Knight) why he didn’t say anything about birthday last week. She wanted them to take the opportunity to get to know each other. Brando (Johnny Wactor) questioned his mother about being the witness who claimed to have seen Jason with the gun used to kill Franco. Gladys said she did it to help Brando get in good with his employer. Cyrus (Jeff Kober) offered his sympathies over Jason’s arrest. He told Carly (Laura Wright) he’d represent Jason’s interests in the meeting with the Five Families. Nina (Cynthia Watros) questioned Mike/Sonny (Maurice Benard) about whether he wanted to know who he was. Brando and Gladys ran into Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) and Michael (Chad Duell) at Kelly’s. While Gladys questioned Sasha about finding her with her son again, Brando told Michael his mother was the witness. After learning Jason was arrested for Franco’s murder, Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) came to the jail pretending she was his doctor following up on his recent brain injury. Jason told her Peter killed Franco and set him up. Britt warned Jason not to take the frameup lightly as Peter was a master who learned at Faison’s knee. Anna told Sam and Olivia that she was hopeful Kevin removed Dr. Kirk’s trigger from Dante. Molly texted Sam about Jason’s arrest. Martin told Laura about his failed marriages. Michael called his mother and told Carly that Gladys was the witness. Carly confronted Cyrus with the information. Cyrus said Gladys’ witness statement could go away if his mother were returned. Britt left the jail when Sam arrived. Jason told Sam that Peter set him up for Franco’s murder. Mike/Sonny convinced Nina to write an article for Crimson to help Phyllis (Juliette Jeffers) and The Tano-o. Laura had a cake brought out to celebrate her new half brother’s birthday. After Martin blew out the candle, Cyrus approached the table and asked his brother what he wished for. Carly visited Jason and vowed to get him out of there no matter what it took.
