A weekly column highlighting the Port Charles happenings during the past week on General Hospital. Read below to find out what you missed or to refresh your memory in time for next week.

Monday

“Look who’s up. This is great, now we can get started” Franco (Roger Howath) told Peter (Wes Ramsey) menacingly. Chase (Josh Swickward) reminded Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) she was Wiley’s mother. Violet came out of the bedroom asking for her daddy. She was sad when Chase said the wedding probably wouldn’t happen tomorrow. After he overheard Finn (Michael Easton) and Jackie (Kim Delaney) talk about the night before her wedding, Gregory (Gregory Harrison) learned his son had been interested in Jackie before she married Gregory. Finn confessed to sleeping with Jackie and stayed away out of guilt. Gregory realized Chase wasn’t a happy souvenir of his and Jackie’s honeymoon and could be Finn’s son. Finn told his dad he ordered a paternity test but hadn’t got the test results yet. Before he left because Chase texted him about Violet, Finn told Gregory he’d get the test results in the morning. Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) wondered why Peter hadn’t showed up at the hospital. Valentin left GH to meet with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). Mac (John J. York) didn’t want Anna to see Maxie (Kristen Storms). Britt (Kelly Theibauld) the baby was fine but she had to keep her blood pressure down. Maxie Jason told Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) he needed his help to track Franco down. Spinelli said Franco could be what they need to take Peter down once and for all. Valentin entered and told Spinelli the wedding didn’t take place because Liesl (Kathleen Gati) interrupted with the news that Alex not Anna was Peter’s mother. Then, Maxie had to be rushed to the hospital. Spinelli left to see whether Maxie was okay. Once they were alone, Valentin told Jason that information of Peter’s crimes were not out in the open and urged Morgan to let the WSB handle it. Britt arrived and told Jason the same thing. Franco told Peter the tumor was back and so was his murderous urges. He thanked August for bringing a gun but preferred his old methods. He pulled out artist tools and said he was calling his new piece Confessions. Franco warned Peter not to lie because he (Franco) was hearing Drew’s voice in his head and knew the truth. Anna came to see Maxie. Ms. Jones said she didn’t know who she was anymore. Gregory asked Jackie whether she was afraid Chase would see her in a different light once he knew the truth. Gregory refused to lie to his son (or grandson) anymore. Franco told Peter he wasn’t going to kill him because he recorded his confession. When Franco started to call the police, Peter got freed and the two struggled for the gun. Peter pointed the gun and Franco and Baldwin said he’d never be the man Maxie deserved if he killed him. Then, the two men struggled for the gun again.

Tuesday

Britt (Kelly Thiebauld) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) returned to GH to wait for Peter (Wes Ramsey). Anna (Finola Hughes) told Maxie (Kristen Storms) that Peter wasn’t supposed to show up at the wedding. Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) told Jason (Steve Burton) he tracked Franco (Roger Howath) to his art studio. Robert sat besides Spinelli and told him Maxie would need him to pick up the pieces. Maxie said she didn’t know who Anna was because the godmother she loved would have never deceived her like she did. Jordan (Briana Henry) demanded to know why Peter August was walking free all these months when Robert suspected his guilt. Robert said he didn’t have any evidence. Sam (Kelly Monaco) told Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) about Peter’s guilt and how Franco was looking for Peter. Meanwhile, Franco and Peter struggled for the gun. When it went off, we saw Franco with a gunshot wound to the chest. Valentin told Alexis (Nancy Grahan) he didn’t know Peter was responsible for Drew’s plane crash. In order to give Franco reasons to live, Cameron (William Lipton) called Scott (Kin Shriner). He composed lists of activities for his son to do with Elizabeth and the kids and would draw it into a contract for Franco to sign. Jason entered Franco’s art studio and found Baldwin shot on the floor. As he checked for a pulse, Elizabeth arrived. She worked on reviving her husband. Robert reminded his brother he was law enforcement when Mac (John J. York) said all he wanted was revenge on Peter August. Franco didn’t make it. Rebecca accused Jason of killing her husband when Jordan asked what happened. Anna and Valentin tried to keep Peter from seeing Maxie when he showed up at GH. Saying he was becoming like his father and no longer craved Anna’s approval, Peter said they couldn’t stop him. Maxie told Sam and Spinelli it was okay to let Peter in.

Wednesday

Laura (Genie Francis) told Carly (Laura Wright) the board didn’t approve Cyrus (Jeff Kober) drug. As the mayor, Laura worried about the ramifications of Cyrus’ drug not being approved. “As Sonny would say, hope for peace but prepare for war.” Mike/Sonny (Maurice Bernard) heard Lenny telling someone on the phone he couldn’t rent their extra room because it was already occupied. Elizabeth accused Jason (Steve Burton) of killing Franco. Jordan (Briana Henry) reminded Liz how as a nurse she would tell the wife when her husband died to let her husband go so the police could do their job. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) came to see Cameron (William Lipton) because she was worried he didn’t come to school. Cameron told her what happened when he woke a sleeping Franco. And how Franco was staying at The Metro Court before checking into Shady Brook. Peter (Wes Ramsey) asked Maxie (Kristen Storms) whether she was okay. He said he didn’t know why Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) accused him of those crimes. Peter asked Maxie to leave Port Charles with him, adding he took care of the past so it wouldn’t hurt them. We saw a scene where after Franco died Peter deleted his taped confession off Baldwin’s cellphone, wiped it clean of his fingerprints then put the phone back in Franco’s pocket. Mac (John J. York) called Scott (Kin Shriner) and told him to come to the PCPD. Laura received a call about Franco and told Carly about the shooting. Mike/Sonny stopped Phyllis (Juliette Jeffers) from pawning her wedding china for every cash. Instead he sold his rings to the man and decided to use the money as buy in for his poker game. Diane arrived at the PCPD before Mac could question Jason about the shooting. Next, Jordan encouraged Jason to talk to her so she could help him. Laura comforted Elizabeth. After her former daughter-in-law left the PCPD and Scott arrived, Laura gave him the sad news about Franco’s death. Cameron had a dream about Franco. Elizabeth returned him and told her son Franco was dead. Cameron broke down. But he said they’d tell Jake and Aiden together. Scott vowed he was coming for Jason for killing his son. Carly told Josslyn that Cameron would need her because Franco was shot and killed. Maxie told Peter she wished he knew how she felt at almost losing her baby. She reminded how she trusted and defended him to everyone. Mac entered and tried to throw Peter out of Maxie’s hospital room. He announced to everyone (Anna, Maxie, Peter and Valentin) that Franco was shot and killed tonight and that Jason Morgan was a person of interest. Peter said he was leaving for Maxie’s sake but wasn’t giving up on them.

Thursday

Jackie (Kim Delaney) came to Anna’s (Finola Hughes) looking for Finn (Michael Easton). Anna told her Finn never came home last night and she wasn’t sure whether he ever would. Chase (Josh Swickward) told Finn he got a nanny to take care of Violet to give Finn time alone. Finn looked at his cell phone and found a text regarding the DNA test and twelve missed messages from Jackie. Gregory (Gregory Harrison) arrived to see Chase but pretended to be looking for Finn. When Chase went to take a shower, Finn and Gregory discussed the DNA test. Chase caught the tail end of their conversation and heard Gregory say Finn keeping the secret cost him his oldest son. Carly (Laura Wright) asked Jason (Steve Burton) whether he had gotten any sleep. She said Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) was wrong to blame him for Franco’s (Roger Howath) death. Carly worried Jason would be arrested, stand trial and go to prison. Jason told Carly he left himself wide open and unprotected and that Peter August (Wes Ramsey) was the real killer. Terry (Cassandra James) supported Elizabeth as did Sam (Kelly Monaco) who remembered how Liz was there for her a few months back so she wanted to return the favor. Meanwhile, Cameron (William Lipton) met with Trina (Sydney Mikayla) and Josslyn (Eden McCoy) at GH and told them his theory Franco was faking his death until he found a cure for his tumor. He planned to use his mom’s computer and work badge to access Franco’s medical reports. A friend of Lenny and Phyllis’ (Juliette Jeffers) came to The Tano and offered to buy the business to help with their money problems. Mike/Sonny (Maurice Benard) didn’t trust the offer and asked Lenny and Phyllis not to make a decision until he returned. Sam came over to the Corinthos house to ask Jason whether he killed Franco. When he answered he didn’t, she urged him to be careful. Terry saw Trina, Cameron and Josslyn sneaking around the morgue and called Elizabeth and told her friend to get to GH. Trina distracted the attendant so Cameron could sneak into the morgue. He looked at the log and saw Franco’s name. Opening the cabinet and pulling down the sheet, Cameron cried when he saw Franco’s body. Elizabeth arrived and comforted her son. After picking up Finn’s cell phone and seeing the message about the DNA test, Chase questioned why an infectious disease doctor would order a DNA test. Finn tried to lie saying it was for a patient. But Jackie arrived and said it was time they told the truth. And no matter what happened, she was still Chase’s mother.

Friday

Mike/Sonny (Maurice Benard) arrived for the poker game and used the money he got from pawning his jewelry for the buy-in. When he won the pot, Mike/Sonny told Bob lady luck was on his side. Jason (Steve Burton) came to the Quartermaine mansion to visit Danny. Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) told Michael (Chad Duell) she hoped she’d be able to explain to Wiley when he got older that he wasn’t a substitute for the child she lost…both her boys held a special place in her heart. Nina (Cynthia Watros) learned about Franco’s death. Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) came to see Nina at Crimson. He told her the wedding never happened because Maxie (Kristen Storms) finally saw who Peter really was. Anna (Finola Hughes) came to The Invader and urged Peter (Wes Ramsey) to let Maxie go. She said if he held on, it would turn to obsession. Just like Faison’s obsession for her. Anna told Peter he didn’t want to turn into his father. Jackie (Kim Delaney) said since she was Harry’s mother and that would never change, she had to make the call. Finn (Michael Easton) and Gregory (Gregory Harrison) urged Jackie to wait so they could discuss it first. When Chase (Josh Swickward) demanded the truth, Finn blurted out that he and Jackie slept together. Chase was angry with his mother and Finn for betraying his father and Anna. Finn clarified it was the night before Jackie’s wedding. The whole sordid story was finally revealed including Finn ordering the DNA test to prove Chase’s paternity. A hurt and angry Chase ordered Finn and Jackie to leave and get the DNA test result then he cried in Gregory’s arms. Later Chase wondered whether he was being a hypocrite since he also told a lie to protect a child. Michael told Willow how he told Nina she couldn’t see Wiley for a while. He apologized for not discussing it with her first. Mike/Sonny returned to The Tano just as Lenny and Phyllis were about to sign the contract to sell their business to Elijah. Mike/Sonny threw a sack of bills on the table to pay them for taking him in and another for rent for six month. After Elijah left, Mike/Sonny told Lenny and Phyllis he won the money playing poker. Elijah called someone and asked them to follow Mike and find out everything there was to know about him. After Nina told him how Michael forbade her to spend time with Wiley, Valentin arrived at the Quartermaine mansion to offer Michael a deal. Peter said Anna was more like Faison than him. He added that he wished she’d been the one who died instead of Alex because his real mother understood and accepted him for who he was. Now that he didn’t have to be Good Peter anymore, he would live his parents legacy. Peter stopped mid-sentence when he saw Jason standing at the door.
